opiate withdrawal

For some reason i have rarely been able to stomach breakfast. Pretty cold with lots of snow here right now. Sometimes i put things outside to freeze, but if i dont hide it really good, then it's gone.

This is what it is called? "the ultra simple diet?
This is the one that laura has posted?

You can read the latest compact version of it here:

If you really can't eat anything in the morning, try to at least have the ultrashake (it's in the link above). It will give you enough protein, and having it early actually, will make you hungrier later in the day, and you might be able to enjoy some buckwheat pancakes/blinis as a late breakfast.

What about the anti candida diet?
It seems to me that the first one would be best for me coming off of opiates?

The above diet is both detoxing AND anti-candida. Regarding your second question, i don't see any reason why not to do the diet while you continue to lessen your opiate intake. It will at least start detoxing your organs and your brain, and maybe it will make it easier for you to let it go completely at one point?

Meditation helps restore the brain, and lessens cravings and addictive behavior. It will benefit you greatly to continue with the pipe-breathing and meditation every night. I know, we told you already, but it's worth repeating me thinks ;)

I agree with what Alana has said.

I would like to add that I think you are right, coming off of the drug should be done very slowly. One mg a week or every two weeks, even, is much better. I know that you want it out of your system NOW, but you will suffer for it, as you have seen. I, myself am coming off meds, and they are not opiates, and I am still going slower than you are. I'm going 1/2 a pill every two weeks. It takes time, but it gives your body and brain time to adjust little by little. I've even gone off one med 1 mg a month. So there are many safe ways to do this. Rushing it is only going to hurt you.

Yep. You can find the latest version here: http://eiriu-eolas.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=14

The USD is a good place to start. You'll need to be doing that diet (free of all gluten, sugar, alcohol, starchy foods, and yeast) for a while to starve the Candida. You can find the relevant threads on that by using the search function. Also, make sure to take the quizzes from the UltraMind Solution (also on the forum here) to see where you might have deficiencies. Neurotransmitters might be an issue, having come off opiates.

Maybe i should read the whole post before i reply. teehee.

the meditation is really what i was looking for. thanks again

Yes Nienna. I agree. there is a really good movie out called "what the bleep do we know" that shows how the peptides do this, and how we literally create our own reality; If we can get past our belief systems.
It also tells of a japanese scientist that put frozen water in bottles and prayed over them with love or hate, etc, and how this alone will contort the actual water molecule. They are like snow flakes, but get very ugly when it is a negetive emotion.
Very interesting.

p.s.---what does fwiw mean? :-[

Hi davey72,

FWIW stands for "For what it's worth" and you can check for other abbreviatons on the Internet here. For abbreviations used here in this forum, we have a topic on it here. :)

Hi Davey,

Since you brought it up, the Japaneses scientist who studied water is named Doctor Emoto. His work has been discussed on the forum a few times. Search "emoto"+"water" in the search box and you should find the relevant threads.

Long and short is:
Interesting studies but they do not stand up to scientific rigour and have not been reproduced in any significant way by other scientists.

This is not to say he isn't on to something but he should not call what he does scientific research if he cannot study using the foundations of scientific method.

Interesting nonetheless and worthy of large scale studies in my opinion.

But until then, I wouldn't come to any decision either way.

just a side note.

I feel a little odd about posting my progression, but, if i;m not wrong, that is what a post is.

Anyway, i was getting pretty sick, so i had the prescription changed up to 8 mg's. That seemed to make all the difference in the world. So it goes down 1 ml/week.
I don't feel too badly at all, and i just started a 15 day herbal program for a first detox.
The things i do notice are, I definately have pain issues. I have sciatica.
I also just realized, by speaking with the nurse at AAdac, that i really do have high anxiety.I was asking what to do about the anxiety, extreme restlessness, when i am not working. She said that isn't a symptom of opiate withdrawal. I have always been pretty shy.
Now that i think back on it, it's definately the biggest reason that i chose drugs from a young age. I never felt very comfortable in my own skin.
I remember the first time my friends dad injected us with heroin. (my first). We were both 13.
That reminds me when i told my mom that my dad used to get me high on marijuauna when i was six, and she said no, that i was four.
I honestly have a memory when i was a kid, before i did any type of drugs, { short of codeine for migraines since i was 2 yrs old(my mother had said ) } That i wished i had some drugs, so that i could feel better.

Eiriu Eolas helps with anxiety. Whenever you feel anxious, do some pipe breathing. About 12 pipe breaths. And doing the three-stage breathing every day will eventually help lessen the anxiety you feel, along with doing the POTS every night.

Also changing your diet as much as possible will help towards balancing your brain chemicals. :flowers:

Ya, i have been trying to find everything again, and find a place to do it, (i have roomates, so can be a little embarrassing)
Can u please tell me what POTS stands for?
