problems with electrical equipment in my area

Re: Exploding transformers and other electrical problems

Dawn: you do have an interesting situation there indeed. August has been intense for me in terms of energy, i guess our electronic devises could be feeling the same way ;)

I have had my truck stall out, my radio turn off and my wipers quit functioning, all during the recent crazy lightning storms over Springfield Mo... Huge silent lightning... scary stuff. I actually have some video of it if anyone would be interested in me making it available.

I'd love to see it :)

Now that u mention it, i did notice some silent lightning here as well last week with the tropical storm lurking. It's very hot here (although that's kind of expected in the tropics i guess haha), so maybe that explains it.

Re: Exploding transformers and other electrical problems

Yesterday we woke up to the power going out (7:33 MDT). We all heard a noise like a distant shotgun or firework, though there was some disagreement about what direction it came from. The power guys were out fairly promptly and it was fixed within an hour and a half. Turns out a magpie shorted out one of the small grey canisters (possibly a transformer) on a power pole close to the house. Unfortunately the bird died. This is not uncommon in the country, but it is something to note with respect to Mercury retrograde and all the other problems people are reporting.

Re: Exploding transformers and other electrical problems

Dawn I'd definately get the hose fixed. Even though it stopped leaking, it will let you down sooner or later. I'm betting the former.

Re: Exploding transformers and other electrical problems

I was talking with one of my neighbours yesterday. He is a transformer-repairman and they had a big workload here in Norway now. The biggest in the country had blown, and several heavy-duty transformers had blow and they didn`t have a clue to why. I suggested em burst from the universe but it didn`t seems like that was a checkpoint on their troubleshooting-list. :-)

I would have liked to see the expression on his face when said that! :D

I shall keep that in mind. I have a tune up due very soon. It may just be a hose, but it has not acted up sense that day, so who knows??

Re: Exploding transformers and other electrical problems

Adding to the list of anomalies, I have two cell phones that seem to "lose" my location. One is my work phone that constantly says I live in Faches-Thumnesil, France and gives me weather updates. My personal cell phone often says that I live in Tbilisi. I don't have GPS enabled but it should be pulling location data by cell tower. Maybe my phones are trying to tell me I should be elsewhere. :D

What about when you enable GPS? That is a very odd occurence, when it involves 2 Phones! Maybe gravity is effecting them.... whether it be yours or someone elses.

I have enabled the GPS just to see if it would clear the issue but it doesn't immediately resolve it. It just goes back to the correct location at some point. This tends to mostly happen in the evenings 9-12 at night.

Glad you are safe, what could you observe when it happened?

And if you like you could report a news-article here if you like and something gets published.

Well i work on the first floor and looking out to the street, but our windows have some kind of blinds on the outside that limit view (i guess as a precaution for hurricanes) so i wasnt able to see much. It happened on the street to my right though, so again i just didnt get a chance to see much, except people kind of looking around and walking away fast. Right away power went out of course and took a bit for the emergency generator to kick in. Everyone else in my office cursed and laughed because they got scared too, it was very loud and of course very unexpected.

However we did have crazy rain in the afternoon/evening yesterday (it rained even more than when those tropical storms passed near me!), but the exploding transformer happened before, at around noon i would say.

I've seen nothing at all in the local news so far about this either. Curiously enough, a minor earthquake (4.0) happened in one of the provinces to the east maybe a 1/2 or so later, but i dunno if these two events are related, i just found it curious.

Re: Exploding transformers and other electrical problems

I used to live on a two lane freeway in the middle of a farm. Fields all around us. There was an electrical transformer on top a telephone pole across the road that fed the house. On night we heard a loud crackling noise and the transformer was sparkling up a storm. Ball lighting traveling up & down the wires, that was cool. But finally a small fire started on top of the unit. By then we went inside to call the electric company. They said call the fire department, so we waited and watched from a distance. Inside, I threw the circuit breaker to save the house. Upon hearing the sirens in the distance, the thing lit up like the sun. BOOM. Scared the living hell out of us. The firemen of course had to wait for the power company before they would do anything. I don't blame them so we talked. Those guys said even a mile or so away they could see the sky lit up when that thing blew.

The next day my wife called me at work to tell me about some people in complete biohazard suits digging up the dirt across the street. They were placing the dirt in cans to haul away. PCBs were the first thing on my mind. POISON. Oh, my children! I called the electric company and asked what was going on. They said, "standard operations". I talked about the freakin biohazard suits and asked about PCBs or what kind of poison is there. I can't believe they said, "Aw, those contain vegetable oil.". And they stuck with that. Yeah right. This was in the late 1980's.

and of course, in the holographic universe model, everything is everywhere at the same time, so maybe the phones can no longer tell where they are..... ;D....
