Re: Article about Ukraine

Today, near 16:00 all the metro stations in Kiev were closed. It was hard to order taxi. Near 20:00 starts the 'cleaning up' of the maidan by berkut (special units of Ukrainian police).
Here is the live broadcast - http://korrespondent.net/ukraine/politics/3273412-maidan-onlain-protestuuischye-sozhhly-btr
Here is one of the Ukrainian channels which have live broadcasting - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPPxZl43u04

This channel was switched off from broadcasting on TV. Today I saw on this channel a video how some student was beaten by 10-15 berkuts. He was cruely beaten in the bulding inner cort. My opinion is that a lot of such cases is set up by anti-goverment forces. The same as it was with the sniper who shoot civilian. I just don't see the interest that the current govermant could have in such situations. It will bring only more anti-govermental mood in the masses.

Here is the short video - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYZLWM40Egg&feature=youtube_gdata_player
It was published on 25 of Novemver 2013, it is russian channel, shortly it said how people were tought to make revolution, how to stand against the police, how to invite new people, with the help of american ambecy. How people was payed for comming to maidan. (there need to be some 'base', only then more and more people would join it) This project called 'Tech Camp' It is worldwide project and suported by Hillary Clinton.
Here is the Ukrainian video about what 'tech camp' really is.(I didn't found about it in English. ) - http://vk.com/video4262690_165812467
Interesting video, didn't expect to find it in Ukrainian. Among all other stuff, here said the free software is provided by Microsoft. Also in this video said that there was anti-tech camp metting with the slogans 'stop arabic spring' ' go away from Donbas'.

A few days ago i was on maidan in Kiev with my wife, we went to the restaurant (we didn't go on the st.Valentine's day). One guy come and stand near us while we were smoking outside and i almost sure he was listening to what we are talking about, i gess he want to know what we thing about what is going on now in Kiev. He looks at some pictures of the food outside then go in and take some menu or what and stand and look at one page. So, as I think, they(those who are behind this revolution ) have their own agents, in order to know what mood the people have. Just sharing thoughts.

Re: Article about Ukraine

Interesting thoughts. Thanks for the report, Serg. I agree, these seem to be the dynamics everywhere that these forces want to destabilize a government that is not under their control/aligned with their agenda - especially if the governments have any record of trying to improve the lives of their people - and if they've had any success, watch out!

Video Chronicle confrontations, the Berkut is protected, "peaceful" extremists attack:
http://korrespondent.net/ukraine/politics/3306982-boy-v-tsentre-kyeva-hlavnye-vydeo

I do not know whether it is already known to you, it is in brief what happens:

February 18 opposition stormed government quarter. There are dead and wounded on both sides of the confrontation. The same evening, the power delivered an ultimatum to surrender the rebels and getting no answer, stormed Maidan, which is still ongoing.

In many regions, radical activists totally smash, destroy, capture the building as departmental administrations and institutions, and is not related to government facilities, such as pharmacies, shopping centers, communications building, etc. Radicals and unknown terrorists killed the several traffic police on duty, protesters everywhere use firearms. and they even break into the apartments of citizens of Kiev and rob them.

Euromaidan Activists captured six security officials. One of them shot in head.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LHynZpXKVcw#t=31

Right sector encourages owners of firearms urgently come to the Maidan to protect protesters in connection with a possible crackdown.

Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 18, during clashes in the government quarter in central Kiev protesters streamed gas in the face of the Party of Regions deputy Dmitry Svyatash.

The Chapter of Volyn Regional State Administration smashed his forehead and required to kneel. He flatly refused to write a statement on the dismissal. Chairman of the Volyn RSA Oleksandr Bashkalenko injured during clashes with protesters. According ZIK, he tried to placate protesters who stormed the regional Interior Ministry. In response, the people wanted him to kneel.
Subsequently Bashkalenko knocked to the ground and began beating him. Self fighters and "right sector" barely managed to free the victim. Helped him to come back into the room the police to avoid lynching. People demand the resignation Bashkalenko, but he flatly refused to write a statement on the dismissal.
Video here (and, I repeat, these "peaceful protesters", armed with clubs, stones, Molotov cocktails and firearms with impunity organize all these things in the country. innocent people suffer at all. angry crowd of hooligans everywhere attacked one or more persons and beat them to a pulp. while on camera declare that they are PEACEFUL and they do it to prevent provocations by the government. there is an open psychopathy and banditry. they remain completely unpunished) :
http://korrespondent.net/ukraine/politics/3307922-hlave-volynskoi-oha-razbyly-lob-y-trebovaly-vstat-na-koleny

In Network posted a video which shows how in clashes in the government quarter unknown persons captured a military truck and ram it the ranks cordon security forces.

"This satanic power will be destroyed! Death these scoundrels!" - Oleh Tyahnybok, "Svoboda".
Very peaceful and democratic statement.

February 19:

"The situation escalated in Kiev, as opposition leaders received carte blanche from German Chancellor Angela Merkel on the development of a military scenario," - said the deputy from the Party of Regions Vadym Kolesnichenko on Wednesday, February 19. - "Euromaidan - it is a local conflict," sucked from the finger."

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych said that opposition leaders crossed the border when calling people to arms, and must appear before the court, which will determine their punishment, or else to disassociate themselves from the radicals. This is stated in the appeal to the President, sends his press office.
"Or, if they do not want to leave - admit that they support the Radicals. And then with them is another conversation"- said Yanukovych.

The security service of Ukraine specifies that in the statement of the head of the security service Alexander Yakimenko it is a question of preparation for carrying out anti-terrorist operation, but not about its beginning, transfers Interfax Ukraine.
Earlier the Security service declared anti-terrorist operation in the territory of Ukraine in connection with escalation of power confrontation in the country, the corresponding statement of head of SBU is published on the department website.
The law provides the beginning of active actions of security officers in case of explosions, arsons, murders, intimidation of representatives of authorities. And it just that now occurs in the country. In fact, all actions of protesters in Ukraine get under definition "terrorist activity": the organization of illegal paramilitary groups (and it is self-defense groups), preparation and commission of acts of terrorism.

10:41 am - tacit truce is observed in the last hours on the Maidan, only units of protesters throw from time to time stones towards militiamen, however the last don't undertake reciprocal actions.

11:40 am - the Minister of Internal Affairs Vitaly Zakharchenko conferred responsibility for the killed and wounded militiamen on the Maidan on oppositional politicians.
"Extremists on the Maidan Nezalezhnosti have firearms. We said about their radical moods, that they are ready and prepare to use the weapon. All responsibility for these events which occurred, in my opinion, has to lay down on shoulders of these irresponsible politicians. I emphasize that militiamen didn't use firearms. At localization of disorders police officers were armed only with specifics for shooting of elastic bullets", - he told.

13:03 - the Commander of internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Stanislav Shulyak: "When performing tasks of maintenance of public safety and protection of a public order in governmental quarter of the city of Kiev on February 18-19 five servicemen of internal troops of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine were lost from gunshot wounds. At them, as well as at the majority survived, wounds are identical – bullets sniper got to head and neck area".

17:33 - The deputy chief of the head investigative department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Oleg Tatarov published official statistics about victims in mass riots last night: nearly 800 people got injuries of different severity, from them 392 - militiamen. 83 guardians of order are hospitalized with gunshot wounds. In total as a result of mass riots 25 people died, 10 of them - police officers. Upon investigators of the Ministry of Internal Affairs 45 criminal proceedings are opened.

And despite all this, America and EU close their eyes to the obvious facts that now exactly PROTESTERS are troublemakers and instigators of injuries and death of people. The world governments continue to accuse at all this only the government of Ukraine, at all without recognizing and without making comments on action of bandits among demonstrators. any hooligan now can go and plunder, destroy things and buildings, beat and kill the fellow citizens, having called itself the demonstrator. it is the frank civil war begun by opposition.

"The violence against peace demonstrators is inadmissible, and the Ukrainian government has to be made responsible", - the British foreign minister William Heyg in the Twitter on Wednesday, February 19 wrote.
here only one example that speak these bastards, wishing to lead own puppets to power usurpation in Ukraine.

Re: Article about Ukraine

Thank you Serg for your update, it was very helpful. After reading a number of foreign reports painting both sides, I now turn to local news-outlets which I can find links to on _http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_newspapers_in_Ukraine Then I can translate textbits if need be on google or _http://translate.yandex.ru/

I am wondering if enough Ukrainians can avoid being hoodwinked by EU/US backed forces. Time will show. The propaganda they drive here is pretty massive, as if they wish to convince us how fortunate we are to live under their rule. They need to convince us more and more it seems.

Re: Article about Ukraine

I wonder where in Kiev western embassies are situated, and if they have clear visual path to the squares where protests are held. Apropos CNN's "government snipers".

Re: Article about Ukraine

What do you think about the "I am a Ukrainian" video that went viral recently ?
Video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hvds2AIiWLA

_http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/blogs-trending-26272546

In the three months since the start of the Ukraine crisis, there have been countless videos uploaded to YouTube. But none has had anything like the impact of a video called "I am a Ukrainian". In it, a young protester stands on the street in Kiev on a cold dark night. She addresses the camera directly and simply. "We want to be free," she says - in English. The courts are corrupt, she says, and politicians are behaving like dictators. The video has had thousands of comments, with people writing from around the world to express solidarity - from Egypt to Kashmir to Turkey.

Seems deliberately staged to engage people on an emotional level, moreover it was edited (perhaps filmed as well) by someone with credentials, Ben Moses.
The woman in the video is a student called Yulia, who has been involved with the protests from the start. Her message is simple, but the production is slick. It was edited and uploaded by an award-winning US filmmaker, Ben Moses, who met Yulia in Ukraine as part of a documentary he is making about protest movements around the world.

I can't find references on the net about the following, which is bizarre, but I heard this morning on the radio that she had been shot and some news agencies said that she was dead, which was later disproved. Unless they were talking about someone else entirely though.

It's black propaganda, up there with "Iraqi soldiers throwing babies out of incubators."

The Ukrainian govt has released a statement saying they now think this is a coup that cost around $10 billion and was part of a long-term plan:

Re: Article about Ukraine

Just now I have been reading the headlines of the Russian Ukrainian newspapers and came across a link to direct transmission from Kiev on _http://www.segodnya.ua/politics/pnews/chto-seychas-proishodit-na-maydane-pryamaya-translyaciya--497963.html It is very strange to listen this rethoric, much of it is really far out, demagogues some of them like what I used to hear on historic recordings from a time long gone. The newspaper headlines from Lvov report that there has been open plundering. In some places when people call the police nobody answers and anarchy takes over.

Re: Article about Ukraine

There is nothing as it seems to be. I've growned up in Ukraine and I know what motivates ukrainian people to protest against Janukowitsch (I don't mean the neo-nazi bands which shooting on the police). On SOTT is Janukowitsch presented as democratically choosen president. That may be the case, but I doubt it. Janukowitsch is just a puppet that represents the interests of ukrainian oligarchs (as all the ukrainian presidents before him). And how many of you know that Janukowitsch has 3 (!) previous convictions? (there is not much about it in english because the topic is actually taboo, but you can read about it on wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viktor_Yanukovych#Criminal_convictions) He was accused of murder and rape. How could such a person run president elections at all?

Just my thoughts

Re: Article about Ukraine

It is seems like religion is also implied in this whole situation - the title of the article is called "Orthodox priests caught(photographed) in the middle of the Kiev events."

It is one of those ways that works to make people fight more and destroy one each other because "The Army is Christian". And when you do it in the name of God, it is OK to slaughter each other. I smell some fanaticism and brainwashing.

Re: Article about Ukraine

Our current president can’t even learn to say correctly one phrase in English. He didn’t know well his native Ukrainian language, the same with prime-minister. They are bandits. A lot of video jokes were made about these 2 persons, especially about their spelling and it is really funny. But they actions are more obvious. We can see and know what they are doing at least to some extent. Because they are crooks with practically no masks on. That is what angered people in the first place. People are fooled.
They think somebody cares about them. The new government can be more presentable, more eloquent, will look more like politicians ‘should’ look like but in fact will do worse things.
We have a lot of natural food, even if it is not all 100% natural, but it is natural, thanks to our villages.
I don’t know no one village in which there are no pigs, chickens etc. So, if there would be some crisis, we have where to take food. Even not far away where I live there is a small bazar, where people(most of all are old women) sell different home-made/grown stuff. Among them there are people who sell meat, eggs etc. It is not only good to buy from them because it is natural, but also by such action you are helping those old women and men financially, because they have very small retired pay. But from what I seen, in such bazars , there are much more older people who buy all this.
All these is already disappearing with the help of supermarkets, but if we let in even more EU/US companies to our country it will disappeared even faster. Also they will bring a lot of GMO products. In the supermarkets which are not far away from my home, there are already a lot of stuff which is not produced in Ukraine. For example, there are radishes from Israel, сorn from USA, I don’t remember what else, write know. I don’t understand why cannot we grow it ourselves. I’m not buying stuff from these countries, at least trying to avoid it as much as I can. I don’t know how much it would help, but I think Universe receiving my message. I mean that I don’t want to give money to
As I said, I think that the obvious actions of our government angers people. But people don’t know that this forces that are behind this revolution killed and killing millions of people all around the world.

That is a major catch in imposing "democracy" - supporting candidates with criminal background for at least two reasons: can later be rather easily blackmailed and also downthrown when convenient - like now in Ukraine. Also that kind of predators have significant drive to penetrate any institution of power to protect themselves from further persecution. Democracy is just a mirage - vast majority still don't get it -and therefore so much disappointment and shock. It is actually bipartisan (ideally) monopoly, remotely controlled - it was never intended to serve peoples' high expectations (induced/supported by MMM fairy tales) only to make 1% even more richer... Shock in Eastern European countries is even greater because of long period of "Socialism/Communism" in which we dreamed of "Democracy" that will bring us prosperity and better living. But the spell still works - i see people around me, dreaming of castles in the clouds au contraire to everyday life, becoming more and more irate due to that tremendous gap between their beliefs and reality. Yes believing lies leads to mental disturbance - top on the spot from C's - and mad unrest on the streets is wished goal for PTB...FWIW

And in the east:

Pro-Russia rally draws tens of thousands in Sevastopol

Over 20,000 people rallied in favour of closer ties with Russia in Sevastopol on Sunday, singing Russian songs and waving hundreds of Russian flags.

The crowd also protested against "extremism" and expressing their willingness to form self defence militias to protect the city from "extremists".

During the event, businessman Aleksey Chaly was elected as the new mayor of Sevastopol, as residents said they no longer recognise the current authority and want to "restore public order".

Re: Article about Ukraine

An interview with a Russian General and his view of the Ukraine crisis. End link is of a video - Russian military convoy moving near Novorossiysk (Ukraine broder).

Russian General: "We are at War"
_http://beforeitsnews.com/alternative/2014/02/russian-general-we-are-at-war-2904334.html

In an interview published Feb. 5 by km.ru, Gen. Leonid Ivashov, the former foreign relations head of the Russian Ministry of Defense and current president of the Academy of Geopolitical Studies, issued a sharp warning about the nature of the strategic crisis unfolding in Ukraine:

“Apparently they [officials of the European Union and U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry] have dedicated themselves, and continue to do so, to deeply and thoroughly studying the doctrine of Dr. Goebbels. . . They present everything backwards from reality. It is one of the formulas which Nazi propaganda employed most successfully: . . . They accuse the party that is defending itself, of aggression. What is happening in Ukraine and Syria is is a project of the West, a new type of war: in both places you see a clear anti-Russian approach, and as is well known, wars today begin with psychological and information warfare operations. . . Kerry and Obama are encouraging in Kiev what they harshly repress in their country. European leaders break up unauthorized demonstrations with hoses, throwing demonstrators in jail, while in the Ukrainian case they do the exact opposite, and on top of that they threaten Russia. Logically, this is part of information warfare.

“Keep in mind that, under the cover of information commotion, U.S. ships are entering the Black Sea, that is, near Ukraine. They are sending marines, and they have also begun to deploy more tanks in Europe. . . We see that on the heels of the disinformation operation a land-sea, and possibly air operation is being prepared.

“The scenario could be the following: drive Ukraine to the breaking point, blame Yanukovich and Russia for everything, to then say that NATO can’t simply sit by as a mere spectator, and then send its troops into to return order. Then a transitional government would be formed, as happened in Iraq and Kosovo, and NATO would take control of everything. Historical experience shows we have lived through similar situations. But before that they will need to justify the aggression with information warfare. . .

“They haven’t even taught [opposition leaders] Klitchko, Yatsenyuk and Tyahnybok to run a government efficiently. The main thing is for them to take power, and destroy the Ukrainian state.”

Currently in the Ukraine, there is a parliament in Kiev and a parliament in Kharkov. The parliament stripped Yanukovych of his powers and impeached him but he says they dont have the powers to do that and refuses to step down. The latest reports have the President in Donetsk. There is actually no single person in charge over there. It’s chaos. Everything about the ‘rebellion’ reeks of western puppetry and fascism. Everything about the Yanukovych supporters of course reeks of Russia. The Crimea is having massive protests right now in the streets because they want to join in union with Russia. And Russia has stated it is prepared to send in troops to protect ethnic Russians of which there is 7-8 million of in Ukraine. Things are very fluid and changing hourly. Stay tuned..
