Re: new to smoking :what are the healthy guidelines.

Avala,
If your body do not support tobacco, do not force yourself.
And for coffee and chocolate (I love both) maybe trying not to be addicted but only take them when you decide could be a good training in order not to be addicted to tobacco in case you find some good natural tobacco you will like?
Just a friendly suggestion :)

Re: new to smoking :what are the healthy guidelines.

Of course.

That is something that I made peace with, long time ago. If I am not for that, well, I am not. But good coffee and chocolate is something that I will never give up easily. BTW I can’t see why someone would do such thing :)

Re: new to smoking :what are the healthy guidelines.

Its funny you say that Avala :P
I love coffee and chocolate myself but ever since I've started doing the Beatha and meditation, I started noticing that my body doesn't crave it as much. Even the foods I usually enjoy I don't seem to want now. I've actually started eating healthier :D Don't get me wrong, I still have my morning coffee, just not as much. My midnight snacks too but also not as much. The smoking I still do on my days off but only 2 or 3 a day and I've also noticed not as much addiction with organics. Which is good because I really don't want to turn into a full-time smoker again. Not that theres anything wrong with that! fwiw

Re: new to smoking :what are the healthy guidelines.

My point is to have pleasure consciously, not because of an unconscious craving :)
I'm a big big amateur of chocolate, and I used to distribute over the workplace because it makes people happy (only those with "buena onda" as we say here) :)
I smoke from time to time, like twice a week, and not feeling "obliged" to do so is healthier imho. When the night is clear and beautiful, I put tobacco in my pipe and go outside to enjoy it all (strange, I have tears right now mentioning it!!). And since a week I go to the breathing exercise just after that.
Good coffee, good chocolate, good things to share and enjoy, yes definitely, I agree with Avala on not giving it up :)

Re: new to smoking :what are the healthy guidelines.

I have started smoking about 6 months ago. About 5 cigarettes a day, natural tobacco like American Spirit or Nat Sherman.
I think I can say it improved my thinking and reading ability. :)

Anyway, here is my question:
Do you continue to smoke even whey you are in a cleansing diet program?

I started a Liver/Gallbladder Cleanse program today (as I do every 4-6 month) and will flash this week end.
The Instruction does not mention about smoking while suggesting to avoid coffee, milk, alcohol and so on.
So I wonder if somebody here have similar experiences and advices.

Although I searched with "liver cleanse smoke" and could not find any posts that seem to answer my question, if you remember some posts that I should read, please let me know.

Added after the cleansing done :
For others who have the same question (and for myself to record),
- I took the following 'experimental' approach this time
-- took 3 cigarettes par day (a half amount of usually I take)
-- took 0 cigarettes on the day before flashing day and the flashing day (instinctively decided so)

Hi again,

Since my last post, the reactions I was having (dizziness and nausea) have slowly gone away. I think my system is just getting used to smoking again however, the pain in my head is also slowly starting to come back which is what made me quit to start with!

Hi there, I have some questions regarding smoking. I have been reading the smoking threads on the forum but am no closer to my own conclusion regarding my smoking.

I stopped smoking 12 years ago following the standard advice that was put out that it was bad for you etc etc. I had chronic gum disease as well at that time and they wouldn't give me dental implants if I still smoked. I am unsure now of the exact reasons except to say that they believed that smoking had made my Gum disease worse. Anyway I quit and felt fine after the initial withdrawal pangs.

About a year or so ago I started having the occasional cigarette if I was out with smoking friends, I don't even know why. To cut a long story short after an assault over a row about driving I started smoking again about 2 months ago. Started with a couple every day and then it began to creep up to about 7 a day in the last week.

The problem is Its beginning to give me a terrible pain in my head, not all the time but more often than not. I've even started taking pain killers just to continue smoking. I included the quote above because it sounds like I'm not the only one.

I am blood type O+ follow a fairly strict diet, including no Nightshades as per Dr Sherry Rogers Pain free in 6 weeks. I'm thinking that as tobacco is a nightshade I am allergic to the point where any affects me. The only problem I have now is that I like smoking occasionally but don't seem to be able to keep it to occasional now.

Any thoughts ? I'm thinking I should just give up, but that doesn't seem so easy now.

Re: new to smoking :what are the healthy guidelines.

Well, I am no doctor, please bear this in mind, but my
perspective is that `headaches' and 'smoking' may more
may not be indicative of a "health issue" in and of itself.
Could other factors be involved?

From what I can tell from the transcripts, there are a myriad
of factors that can cause headaches, and it's surprising what
the C's has to say (or do not say, directly) as to its causes.

I personally do get headaches from smoking, but when I do,
I remind myself maintaining 'moderation'. I will stop smoking
until there is recovery from headaches, before going back to
smoking again.

For those who were off on a long smoking break, perhaps it is
wise to go at it slowly as possible, giving the body time to acclimate,
and be sure to to find your "moderation point". My guess is that
different people may have a different "moderation point", or none at all?

From the C Session transcripts, there are 15 quotes on 'headaches'
and 13 quotes on 'smoking' and clues are hinted or given.

The following is not a comprehensive list of all the quotes, but
a selection of ones I thought might be relevant or interesting:

Re: new to smoking :what are the healthy guidelines.

Hi Slowone,

The pain I was describing I associated with smoking because I could literally feel the pain in my head get worse as I inhaled. What I have done is switched to organics (American Spirits mild blend) and I don't seem to have as much of an addiction as I did with regulars. I only have 2 or 3 cigs a day and its only on my two days off a week. I leave for work and don't even take them with me. I know they are a bit more money but once you get the chemicals out of your system, maybe it will be easier for you to slow down? I am AB- blood type but I'm not really sure how much that has to do with head pains.

I remember this quote from the transcripts and find myself relating to it. This weekend I bought some gluten free food and other things in attempts to "test the waters" of the dieting area. I don't cook so it took a lot of time to do it and it didn't seem too practical. My point is that between reading, spinning, breathing/meditation, and all the other things we can worry about, it takes a lot of time out of the day. So I guess it's like an all or nothing thing as the C's say, because there's always something else that you can do, unless you do them all, but then you have less time and it seems like a hassle. Re: new to smoking :what are the healthy guidelines.

Hey I recently started smoking - American Spirits only, I won't touch any of the convenience store brands and am wondering how many cigarettes are the right amount to smoke per day. It seems some members on here smoke upwards of 15-20, while others smoke just a few times a week.

I've been smoking for roughly about 2 months now, and I sometimes get headaches and such when I smoke, but not all the time, so I'm wondering if it may be caused from something else, as I have had back problems since I was a little kid and have to constantly do lower back and stomach exercises or my posture starts to suffer.

One thing I notice though, is that sometimes, not all the time, after I smoke a cigarette, I feel drained, although this is mainly when I am at work, and it might have to do with being stressed while I am there. I'm not having any allergic reactions to it, although if I smoke after I eat, I tickles my throat and I end up spitting some of the food I ate just before.

Currently, I only smoke about 1-2 cigarettes a day, sometimes 3, but that isnt very often.

Q: (A) How much nicotine is necessary?
A: 100 mg per day.
Q: (A) Can it be in pill form? [Ark is CLEARLY unhappy with the idea of me smoking!]
A: Cigarettes infuse it to brain tissues most effectively.
Q: Well, I am certainly relieved! Now I know that I do not have a 'smoking demon' possessing me! I was really getting worried! [While I had quit, I was constantly and incessantly plagued with the urge to smoke. I had become convinced that it was a spirit attachment or some sort of "control mechanism" that would not let me go!]
A: Those who fit this profile find it nearly impossible to "quit" completely.
Q: So, there are people who are actually benefitted by smoking?
A: Genetics will offer proof of this.
Q: You mean that one can see changes in DNA before and after smoking?
A: Close
Q: Is this also true for Frank?
A: Yes.
Q: Why us?
A: It is simply part of your "profiles."
Q: Is that also why I have been having more stomach problems than usual? [I could barely eat anything without having an upset stomach.]
A: Yes.
Q: Well, I always noticed that smoking could settle my stomach. It also stimulated my digestive tract... (F) Yes.
A: (A) What is serious here is the number. How many milligrams... (L) How many cigarettes does this number of 100 milligrams translate into?
A: 20.

Q: Well, I never smoked that much! Only about 15...
A: No.
Q: Well, I told myself 15!
A: It was not. [They were right.]
Q: Ark doesn't need to smoke, does he?
A: No. He does not fit the profile. He actually had to "work" to start smoking.

Q: (L) Did you? (A) Yeah, probably. (L) Well, then why did you? (A) Well, it was somewhat self-annihilating. (L) Ark is NOT happy with this explanation you guys have given. [And he STILL isn't, though he tolerates my smoking, and I DO feel enormously better having resumed without carrying all the guilt that our society is attempting to impose on cigarette smoking.]
A: Life contains unhappy explanations at 3rd density, sometimes.
Q: Well, I was really beginning to think I was possessed...
A: No.

I don't think I want to smoke 20 Cigarettes per day, that would be too expensive for me, but if that's the case, is smoking 1-2 useless? Does the number '100 milligrams' only relate to certain people or is it a universal standard to go by? And how does one know if they do or don't fit the profile of a smoker? I used to smoke when I was a teenager but subsequently quit after I started getting addicted, so this is my second time at it.

EDIT - I Should also note I have an extremely fast metabolism, I burn food like theres no tomorrow, and subsequently have a hard time putting on weight and keeping it.

06-27-98
Q: Now, I have such a screwy metabolism; I know that you once told me that my thyroid had been tampered with from other densities in an effort to dissuade me or prevent me from doing my work. The result of this is that I can go for days and eat almost nothing, and still gain weight! Why?
A: Because you have changed your third density frequency.
Q: What am I supposed to do now? Just stop eating altogether?
A: You lost, altered your chosen balancing mechanism.
Q: What altered my chosen balancing mechanism?
A: First: what is your chosen balancing mechanism?

Q: Do you mean something physical in my body?
A: Close.
Q: I don't know. Going to the gym? I haven't been going to the gym lately...
A: No.
Q: Something about the way I work or function?
A: No. Something you, or one, takes into the body.
Q: Thyroid pills? Do I need to increase the dosage?
A: This substance raises hemoglobin levels.
Q: What?! I quit smoking?!
A: Yes.
Q: How can smoking be a balancing mechanism?
A: Speeds up metabolism, thus allowing greater food intake.

If cigarettes balance metabolism. Could it work at the opposite end of the spectrum as well.

Thanks (I know I'm asking alot of questions at once) :)

Re: new to smoking :what are the healthy guidelines.

Hi DanielS, I think the point is to find what works best with YOUR body - not to follow what works for others. The suggestion on amount of nicotine was specifically for Laura, at that session,so it does not apply to everyone.

DanielS said:

I don't know if it would 'work at the opposite end of the spectrum', but that session specifically states that it speeds up metabolism - so if your metabolism is already high, I don't think it will help you. Again, it is only called a balancing mechanism for Laura, since her metabolism is rather slow - so context is key - and what matters is what works best with your body.

Nicotine improves brain function in schizophrenics

FYI

Nicotine improves brain function in schizophrenics
Source: _http://www.cosmosmagazine.com/node/2904/full

"Reported last week at a British Association of Psychopharmacology meeting, in Oxford, England, this is the first study that has investigated the effects of nicotine in non-smoking patients with schizophrenia.
The participants showed improvement in brain function, including less impulsive behaviour and better levels of attention, which are both unrelated to nicotine withdrawal, said Barr. "

Re: Nicotine improves brain function in schizophrenics

In his book Velvet Glove, Iron Fist, Christopher Snowden makes the point that much of the research into the benefits of nicotine has only been published after the vilification of cigarettes was successful. As long as cigarettes and tobacco were the primary means of getting nicotine, it was labelled as an addictive substance. Now that tobacco in its various forms has been marginalised through fifty years of brainwashing, and "society" has given its approval to expensive nicotine patches produced by Big Pharma, the benefits of nicotine are being promoted.

A small but instructive example of how things are manipulated down here on the BBM.

Kniall, I also found your post in the Anti-Candida thread fascinating and thought it should be included here:

Quote from: Daniel John Richard
Superhuman people enjoy tobacco, the reason for this is that the Candida infection causes allergies to tobacco smoke, first and second hand. Doctors speculate that 60-80% of the American population suffer from Candida. I have once suffered from Candida and had loathed the smell of tobacco smoke, it seemed downright nasty, I was convinced smoking is bad. Now that I am free of Candida I love the smell of tobacco smoke, even if it is from nasty chemical ridden cigarettes like Newport and Marlboro, they still smell damn good, though I would never smoke such nasty things. I smoke roughly 2 packs a day of natural tobacco. I understand well that I absorb vitamin B3 from nicotine, all of the "health benefits" of Vitamin B3 are the "Health Consequences" of smoking (supressed appetite, regulated nervous system, faster metabolism, detoxification of the blood cappilaries.) I understand that people with Candida suffer allergies to tobacco smoke because the smoke itself is cleaning them of the Candida, creating a detox reaction. According to Dr. Saleh Naser, nicotine is anti-viral, I understand that vitamin B3 is both anti-viral and anti-fungal. They say that nicotine even cures Tuberculosis:

I believe , I read some where in the anti-candida threads ( from the quote's of article I believe) that tobacco is prohibited during anti-candida phase of detoxing. above quote saying that smoking is good for detoxing. is it OK to smoke during anti-candida diet. ?
