Yes, it is. June 20th was the longest day of year, the summer solstice, and the furthest north that the sun goes. It is now headed to the south again. In the winter it will be coming up in the southeast.

I think that the vernal and autumal equinoxes is when the sun come up closest to "due east".

Cloudy with a chance of fighter jets?

For the past half hour - periodically lasting for about 5-10 minutes I have been hearing (and at this very moment) very loud aircraft passing over. They 'sound' low flying - but I can't see anything. I imagine they are travelling through, or above the clouds. The 'quiet' periods seem to be lasting 2-6 minutes.

Last night, we heard a few large helicopters pass over - my husband identified the sound as 'Chinooks' or large people-carrying helicopters.

I suppose it could be 'practice' of flight formations if there is an airshow coming up? Not great weather for it if so, plus I would assume they would practice directly over the airfields and not over a town!

I shall have to do some investigating.

Bad timing feeding my worries I think =) I was reading the "UFOs, Aliens and the Question of Contact" article on SOTT when the sounds started to stand out to me.

Apparently 9-15 July is the Farnborough international air show, so the sounds are probably related.

I don't know Soluna, My partner and I have been hearing these monotonous low flying plane sounds almost constantly for weeks in Nottinghamshire. I have never experienced anything of the sort before and there has only been one occasion where a corresponding 'plane' was identified. Though it was not a type of plane I had seen before.

I don't discount the possibility that the sounds may not be related to the air show - perhaps the 'air show' itself may be used as a cover for the movement of other air craft. The sounds appear to have stopped now, or simply become less frequent.

I also assumed that the helicopters may also possibly be moving around troops in relation to the Olympics in regards to the allegations of numerous troops being housed in barracks around London.

Plenty of possibilities, none of which I discount completely.

Last night at around 1:30-2:00 AM I was watching TV and my partner (neema) was sleeping and there was a giant BOOM that caused the house to shake. Neema woke up from the sound too, I rushed into the bedroom to ask if he heard the sound and he was like "who didn't?" :lol:

So yeah.. it was a pretty crazy experience and sensation. We went outside to see if we could see anything but there was no comet/meteor trail in the sky or anything but there definitely was a big sound/shake.

By the way we are in Chilliwack, BC - Canada.

Thanks for the report, Deedlet! Though I am wondering why you were up so late, considering how important getting enough sleep at the right time is for health and thinking.

I know.. It's bad on my part... I get a little insomnia once in a while and I've always been a night owl. But I do know that good sleep is important so it's just another thing I gotta get into the groove of doing more often.

I checked until page 18 and didn't see these being mentioned, if they have, feel free to remove my reply.

On this one the sounds appear to be extremely far away and you have to pay a lot of attention. Oddly enough, the guy managed to capture some black dots passing by as well. They are visible at 0:13, 0:35 and 1:10. The sounds are easier to hear after 0:50,but still not clear,it does sound close to what's been reported so far though.

Here the sound are crystal clear. I doubt this one being a hoax for varius reasons:

a) The uploader is scared a lot when some other people tell him the theories behind these sounds, both the HAARP one and the alien entities one. The comments are in greek though.

b) The ridicule factor is extremely high here in Greece. Both hoaxes and real footage are laughed upon by pretty much everyone, thus,to put it bluntly, making hoaxes is not a "big hit" around these parts.



The public here is highly unaware,especially the generatios of ages above 40+, since 9/10 of them barely know how to start up a pc and on top of that our media are more focused into the stupidification process. Ever since we got tv channels here,we must have had a total of 2 or 3 cases of UFOs unsettling the public being covered,for like less than a minute each

Not sure about this based on the photographer being totally immersed with the view, particularly panning the creek. This seems not likely if sounds like these where being recorded simultaneously, unless they were just not noticed at the time or they were never present, imo.

According to him,they weren't noticed until he got to replay the video. He had his attention at the creek at that point.


Well,like I said, there is not much someone has to earn from making a hoax in my country. There is just no point. We don't have active sceptics and neither does our media give a penny about these,so it's not like someone can create a hoax to either get paid for an interview or get any publicity either.

This one in particular is very strange. Think the fellow on the bicycle says something like "my god is that loud", amongst other things not translatable for me.
