I'm curios is the Issue 14 of The Dot Connector Magazine in the making already ?
sorry for asking this, but I can't wait to read the next one  :D

You can rest assured that the sun never sets on the virtual DCM editorial boardroom! ;) As soon as one issue is done, work on the next starts up. But patience, as always, is a virtue.

I've recieved an E-Mail today that my automatic payment for the Dot Connector Magazin is canceled.
payment start was on :31. Jul 2010 (one year 6 issues) I recieved 4 Issues yet

so I looked at the website

Welcome to The Dot Connector magazine
June 26, 2011
We have canceled all recurring PayPal payments for current subscriptions. This means that subscribers will still get The Dot Connector, but subscriptions will NOT auto-renew like they did before. When your current subscription is about to expire, you will receive renewal instructions first via post, and then via e-mail.

As for Issue #14, we are currently wrapping it up as quickly as possible. Issue #15 will follow shortly thereafter!

I want to extend my subscription as long as possible (I guess 2 years), to make sure that I'll get the next issues.
so should I subscribe for further 2 years (12 issues) , manual again on the website ?

Yup. If you purchase another 1 or 2 year subscription, it will be added to your current subscription.

thanks.
I just subscribed for two years.

Seems some issues are taking their time to arrive. I'm starting to wonder about mine... I subscribed on the 3rd of May with nary a dot connector gracing my mailbox. Does anyone know how long these are taking to come to Australia? :)

I signed up for 6 issues and received the fourth late May in Sydney - The envelope from France was date stamped on the 16th May.

I seem to get a good service for each issue, within a week from posting.

Issue #14 is almost done!

As for the reason why it takes so long for us to get an issue done, there are 2 primary reasons:

1. We don't see the point in rushing just to meet deadlines, resulting in a poor-quality product like some other magazines I shall not name
2. The Dot Connector staff are 100% volunteers. We don't actually make a real profit on the magazine so far - it's more a labor of love!

So, #14 is almost done, and #15 is about 50% done. We are planning on 3 or 4 more issues this year - maybe more.

As for Issue #14, I frankly don't see how anyone in their right mind could be disappointed by it. Just you wait!

;)

Ah, but that could be said of all of the issues. :)

Really looking forward to #14!

I left a #13 at the local astrology house in their shop, the owner seemed quite interested but then got back to me saying they couldn't sell it without explaining further. Then he wrote a mail that he would like to review it (in their magazine I presume). I answered yes to that would have my (and hopefully DCM's) interest without considering the piece could be a smear piece.
I would appreciate feedback on how to proceed.

I got confirmation that a local magazine and comics kioskh was interested, he said he was in touch with you guys, but still haven't seen copies on his stand and this was a month ago.

I have got a strange message through my Paypal account. They informed me that "FotCM has cancelled your regular payments for 6 issues of DOT Connector Magazines". Can you help me to find out what happened? I have sent an email some days ago to FotCM that does not appear in my "Sent folder". So I cannot see if it really was sent and thought of reposting it on the forum. I want to continue my payments and can´t wait for the next issue :)

I received the same message yesterday and was wondering what could have happened. Fortunately I saw your post before starting a thread to ask for directions. I too would like to continue my payments. Great stuff in DCM!
