The Vegetarian Myth

I am on page 1 of this thread and will keep reading.

I didn't know corn is bad for most people.

You should read the book too if you haven't. Very good reading ... :)

As I work my way through this thread, I am pleased to learn that so many here are former veggies for all of the reasons my husband and I were. We have been eating meat now for a little more than a year and we both feel a lot better. We are not off the grain entirely but getting there. I can't wait to get to the parts in the thread where it's revealed if Laura figured out the K diet first or the C's! :D

I can give you the quick answer which is found in the "Life Without Bread" and "Ketogenic Diet" threads (the most obvious places to look for it): it was as a result of seeking answers for a forum member who had a specific set of issues and I wasn't willing to accept the idea that there was no medical hope for him. He had a certain brain condition and I began searching frantically to find ANYTHING that would help and began stumbling over terms and dangling threads that I followed into the medical literature. Then downloading dozens of medical studies, and finding out that the information IS out there, you just have to know what terms to use. And then, once you know the terms, you can ask the right questions. It was like a whole other world of knowledge. It's like computer syntax: GIGO. If you don't know what to ask, you will never get an answer.

Just curious: Are you same folks (in this topic) who TRASH the Many Reasons to maintain a Mostly
Vegetarian Diet ... LIKEWISE in denial of Climate Change?

Personally speaking, we trust in the Sanest Approach. IE: Macrobiotics.

EATING #MAMMALS# IS WHERE TO DRAW THE LINE. And everyone should IMHO.

Occasional dinosuar (chicken/turkey) or fish ... a bit of alligator or ... eggs.

Michio Kushi, Georges Osawa taught that the best diet was always:

Most Local grown, and furthest from us in evolution.

Seaweed yes. Monkeys, no.

(Over simplification of larger topic. But right on the soul money for Earth Sanity Future VIABLE.)

Thanks for considering.

whalemind,
Have you read the book? Have you read the topic? Yes, vegetarianism is bogus, as well as Global warming. It's not a matter of belief but facts and scientific inquiry. Also, if you mind writing in plain English with understandable sentences (if possible of course), that would be considerate. Thanks.

Yes, didn't you read the thread??

... LIKEWISE in denial of Climate Change?

Yes, and no. The climate is changing, but rising CO2 emissions from human productivity is not the cause.

The only thing I can figure out for those of you with constipation problems is that you must not be getting enough fat. I suffered from the now well-known effects of too much fiber backing me up for nearly my entire life. In the past three months or so, since I've got mostly meat and high fat, I haven't had a single problem. If I don't go, I sit down and eat a few very thin slices of serrano ham (prosciutto) spread with butter. That fixes me right up.

We have two kind of butter what is the right one: the butter that is made with milk or the another that is made with vegetable oil?

Vegetable oils are among the most evil things on the planet. That is NOT butter. Butter is made from cream that floats on top of milk.

Can someone please tell me what is so evil in vegetable oil, I have benn thinking of veg oil as a last-resort food for the keto diet.
I only suspect there might be tons of chemicals in it (by the color), so the clearer the better?

You should be able to find information by searching. The most comprehensive explanation I know of is in the book Deep Nutrition by Catherine Shanahan. I believe Nora Gedgaudas covers it in Primal Body, Primal Mind as well, although I can't check right at the moment. If you are really concerned about your health, there is quite a bit of "outside" reading to do, as discussed in the Life Without Bread and Ketogenic Diet topics.

Read this for a start: http://www.sott.net/article/230686-Everything-About-Fat - note the 'fats you should avoid at all costs' part

It's not that it's evil, it's just not meant for human consumption. Many car engines can run on it though.

Car engines don't experience glycation when it oxidizes, and they couldn't care less about the omega-6/3 balance. And they may actually LIKE the hexane used to extract it.
