That's why an eruption occurred at a submarine volcano called Fukutoku Okanoba. Moreover, it seems that the scale is large. Be careful of pumice stones and volcanic ash on surrounding ships and aircraft.

News of Interest & the monthly report

I found a site which gives out daily reports (in 🇪🇸 Spanish) about the situation at La Palma (volcano), in terms of earthquake and volcanic related information, including graphs and illustrations. Since the event started - it is now considered of volcanic origin, therefore I put my entry into this thread; "Volcanoes Erupting All Over".

• Apparently the ground has risen by 6 cm (at the most) over the southern part of the Island (if i understood correctly). They speak of a 6 cm maximum accumulated vertical deformation.

• 4222 earthquakes have been registered since 11 September 2021.

Overall, 50 volcanoes were in continuing eruption status as of 19 August 2021. An eruption marked as "continuing" does not always mean persistent daily activity, but indicates at least intermittent eruptive events without a break of 3 months or more. Detailed statistics are not kept on daily activity, but generally there are around 20 volcanoes actively erupting on any particular day; this is a subset of the normal 40-50 with continuing eruptions. Additional eruption data is available for recent years.

The week ending on 14 September 2021 includes the 22 volcanoes shown below marked "Yes" in the WVAR column (rollover for report). The list is sorted with the most recently started eruption at the top, continuing as of the Stop Date given. An eruption listed here might have ended since the last data update, or at the update time a firm end date had not yet been determined due to potential renewed activity. Information about more recently started eruptions can be found in the Weekly Report.
