Websites to order vitamins

For anyone looking to buy from England, this guy imports alot of 'Now Food' products and does good prices.

Ive also bought a fair lot from USA, and Iherb is excellent. The more you spend the more you save aswell, as theres a loyalty discount, and a discount on multiple buys.
Its alot cheaper than Vitacost and Swanson. Customer service is good aswell.

Just for general information, I read on the Super Nutrition website that any really "good" multivitamin (containing healing levels of nutrients) will ask you to take several tablets, rather than just one per day. They say the reason for this is basic physics; it is only possible to fit so much matter into a capsule, so in a "one a day" multivitamin they must reduce the dosages of things like Vitamin C and other things that require more space for a sufficient dose.

Here, I found a quote @ _http://www.supernutritionusa.com/simply_one_men.php - - "more info" :

One-per-day multi-vitamins deliver many nutrients in one tablet and therefore have little room for adequate calcium and magnesium (which requires 3 or more tablets). We strongly suggest that you consider adding a bone building supplement, such as our Calcium Blend, to any one-per-day multi-vitamin.

Hi Fester,

Thanks mate, I actually found it on B2Bworld and had them ship it too me it was alot cheaper because I ordered so much other stuff and they give a 20% discount if you buy alot. They have heaps of great stuff on that site at reasonable prices.

These brands generally offer excipient free products. I have not looked at each label on each product of these brands so please do your own due diligence:

Enzymedica Enzymes
Garden of Life--my pick of all and amazon is the cheapest place to get them! I trust them whole heartedly!
Healthforce Nutritionals
New Chapter Organics- many but not all products.
Premier Research Labs--These guys are 100% free of excipients and have a entire PDF dedicated to educating us on what they are and about the drug companies using them.
Pure Encapsulations
Pure Synergy
Quanta Foods
Thorne Research
Transformation Enzyme

Best of Luck!

I also am trying to find excipient free niacin! The actual proper niacin that gives you a flush.

Thanks for the recommendations, Shyntarra, and welcome to the forum. We encourage new members to make an intro post on the Newbies board, just telling us a bit about yourself and how you found us -- you can take a look at some of the other posts there to get the general idea.

Having a vitamin with magnesium stearate is not a easy thing. It consumes hours and hours to figure out, if any exist.

At least some specify if the source is a vegetarian one, i.e. Now Company.

Are the vegetable magnesium stearate is not so bad as non-marked "vegetable magnesium stearate"?

Yeah, when the source is specified, it is safer, especially if it is a certified supplement.

Do I understand correctly- NowFoods-label is a certified supplement?
Thanks, Pcyche,you're still me)

It is and they tend to specify when their mg stearate comes from a vegetable source. It is really one of those things that are difficult to avoid.

There was a site recommended for germans some 2 years ago.

http://www.vitamine-outlet.de/index.php

I have tried it last week and had good experiences with them, so I can recommend it.
The stuff comes from the Netherlands, so it won't get stuck on the border, it also comes pretty fast.
They seem to know what they have to keep on stock, because they have the better supplements from different manufacturers (Now, Solgar, etc.). A lot of which are not available on Amazon.
Not the newest ones though, so magnesium stearate is not easy to avoid here either. Liquid gel caps are not (yet) to be found in their product list.

For me, it was more important to determine for each vitamin/supplement the exact brand that didn't have bad fillers. Then I could easily check prices at amazon, vitacost, and iherb. I was surprised that amazon direct and not third parties sometimes had the lowest price.

For example, I went with Thorne Research, Pyridoxal 5'-Phosphate, 180 Veggie Caps. I would copy/paste that into startpage.com, and the first 4 results contained amazon, vitacost, and iherb.

Also, most of the time the Vitacost generic brand has fillers like magnesium stearate. Every once in a while, the brand will have a particular vitamin that seems free of bad fillers, like vitamin E.

Hey group just wanna check in about my supplement program I've recently started. It's based off the "The Day the water died" from Gaby so it follows that the supplements are Vit C Vit E B6 alpha lipoic acid NAC magnesium citrate 5-HTP krill oil and milk thitsle. The one problem was diarrhea which was Iinked to the milk thisle seeds which I suppose was because they were seeds so I switched to a supplement brand and it seems to have cleared up. Other than that it seems that adequate sleep is the next frontier so I'll keep you posted and thank you for the objective knowledge! :)

Hello Guys,

I just realized that shipping cost for parcels from herb to Lithuania went through the roof. Previously delivery cost for via airmail was ~4 euro now it's 14 at min. Looking for any alternatives.

Other sites mentioned within this thread either were closed down or do not deliver packages to LT or has very similar delivery costs.

Maybe it's worth to update the list as original post with recommended sites was submitted few years ago. I'm based in Europe so I'm looking forward to seeing what others in EU use for buying their supplements.

Thank you all in advance.

Do you mean iherb.com? I think their lowest shipping cost is around €8, but it can be higher depending on the weight for example. I do remember they charged €4 in the beginning. You probably tried already, but have you checked Amazon? Perhaps shipping costs will be less if you order from Amazon.de, since it's closer to Lithuania (but of course it depends on the product you order). Another thing you can do is see if there are any stores that sell natural or organic food products in Lithuania, sometimes they sell supplements as well. I hope you can find a better alternative, if not and you decide to order from iherb, perhaps you can order as much as you need that will last you a long time, in order to save on shipping costs.

I just checked iherb.com, selected Lithuania as the destination and it looks like they charge €2.85 to deliver one item costing €11, €1.90 to deliver €28 worth of items and the delivery is free over €40. That's for their cheapest shipping option which is DHL's Global Mail.

I've attached some screenshots for you where you can see the total in the basket and delivery costs. I'm based in the UK and maybe this makes the difference in pricing? Maybe you could try googling iHerb UK and ordering from that website to save money on shipping costs?
