What's for Dinner?

I had another chard/kale/onion/kale/ground beef concoction for dinner. Anything with bacon tastes good!

Fried ham and mashed potatoes for lunch, fried pork chop for dinner with taboule; coconut/ghee shortbread with all-fruit jelly on top for dessert.

I thought taboule was made from bulgar wheat and therefore off limits... did you make it with quinoa?

Absolutely! Funny thing is, I've never had taboule made with wheat - my first experience with it was made with quinoa!

Tonight I had veggie tofu stir-fry with lemonade. :)

Might want to read up on the evils of soy. Especially if you have hormone imbalance issues. Evil stuff!

Organic chicken breast, cut into small pieces and cooked on the stove. With olive oil, onions, and seasoning (need to switch over to just black pepper and salt). But when I went to reheat it, I throw some coconut oil in it. Ive been adding coconut oil to many of my meals now and it seems like its helping with my thinking. I also like the taste and smell of it. :)

Boiled pea, seasoned with beacon fried in olive oil, and roasted chiken breast. Desert, apple cooked in the oven.

For tea tonight, it was a tin of mackerel fillets with a cold baked sweet potato, steamed carrots and courgette, with a mixed salad smothered in extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar.

Pork roast done in the oven roaster with sweet potatoes and carrots. Green beans and steamed pumpkin on the side.

All organic:

Some carrot and celery batons with humous, a chicken wing. Followed by home-made chicken soup. Finished with a peppermint tea and a slice of shortbread.

Cuttlefish & prawns brudetto with polenta, fruit salad with touch of prosecco for dessert.

Slung a hash made with bacon fat, ghee and garlic: ground beef, local made smoked sausage, diced broccoli...the extra fat made a nice gravy. I had mine plain but Hubby is having his over rice. :)

Tonight we had grilled steak with baked potatoes, mashed sweat potatoes and yellow bean. Coconut macaroon for dessert.

"Chili"- ground beef, onions, garlic powder, kidney beans, tomato sauce, tomatoes, and a little bit of green peppers. I test ok for the beans and nightshades. Tastes really bland though but that's the way my family always made it, no hot peppers. I snuck some cumin, extra garlic, and other spices on my plate when they weren't looking. Served with cooked up buckwheat and a green salad.

Leftovers of pastured chicken, kale saute, sweet potato, beef minute steaks (with tallow gravy), kasha cooked with veggies and stock, and burgers from the grill.

A turkey ham slice for an appetizer, bacon & sauteed veggies, and baked root vegetables.
