What's for Dinner?

Fried chicken strips and onion rings in coconut oil. I used the batter recipe from the Onion Rings thread for the breading.

Grass-fed beef cube steaks cooked with cabbage, onions, garlic, and ghee plus a side of fresh cantaloupe.

Leftover from the lunch, grilled Callamari, filled: with parsley, garlic, minced calamari meat, olive oil, salt and pepper and bit of chili (if you are allergic to it pepper and chilly don't add it to the mixture), grilled egg plant on the side with lot of garlic and fresh warm buckwheat bread.

Oh I didn't know.... so what should I it? Here in Japan the main is rice, everyday.
I stopped it bread, and lose 15 kg. without sport actually.

But now? I thought rice have no gluten.

Now I don't really know what to do.
My wife and mother in law are cooking everyday.

Roast lamb, roast potatoes and lots of kale (I'm really enjoying lots of green leafy veg at the moment) :D

Qinoa or buckwheat groats make a good alternative to rice. The best option is, if you know others are cooking things you cannot eat, cook you're own food! Even if its just an alternative to the rice (and you add what they cooked to the top). Expecting others to cook alternatives for you usually causes tension and stress for everyone, so take it upon yourself to 'act for you own destiny', and cook! :)

Rice does not contain gluten unless it has been mixed with it somehow (gluten is sometimes used as a food additive). The potential health issues are not limited to gluten-containing foods, however. Many plant foods, including wheat and rice, contain "lectins" that can be problematic as well.

Rice does contain gluten (wild rice being the only exception) http://www.sott.net/articles/show/214322-What-is-gluten-intolerance-

Thanks for your help, actually cooking here is not a problem, I'm cook :-[ but
here in Japan the tradition is more problematic. I could not come after work back
home and say "excuse me I wold like to cook something for me" in the time they are
cooking for everyone. But I must do something, Change my habits. I feel everyday very tired
I don't have physical work, so this is alarming for me, that something is wrong.
Yesterday my wife bought rice flour, she was happy to find it. But  on the
package was gluten :/. we have home bakery maybe I can find another flour without.

Leftover slowcooked beef roast with wild rice cooked in stock topped with ghee

Last night I cooked some quinoa, fried some cut-up onions in bacon fat, cut up a small piece of grass-fed beef, and put them all in the iron skillet together. It was edible, but nothing to rave about. :D Had the rest for lunch today. Got lots of "what is that?" looks, nobody ever heard of quinoa. Sheesh.
