oh my! I'm still confused over the rice issue. I've read some people here eat rice. Is perhaps brown rice beter or ALL rice a no no?

Rice does contain a trace amount of gliadin, which is a gluten protein. (Correct me if I'm wrong folks.) Since no one is the same, I'd say you'd need to test to see if you are sensitive to the small amount of gluten in rice.


I've tested both brown and white rice: brown rice caused inflammation in my joints almost immediately. So far, I've had no discernible reaction to white rice. That said, I do try to keep it below a cup per meal when have it, and mix it with protein and low carb veggies.

Because I've got other food allergies that tend to be 'silent' (namely colorants and preservatives), the plan is to have an ELISA blood test for rice, among other foods and herbs, to find out science wise what else I might be sensitive to. (Its something we're saving for.)

The only rice that does not contain gluten is WILD rice, so all other rices have gluten.

So I can't help but feel doubt as a Type A eatilng all that meat, being that the Cs sort of endorsed some of D'Adamo's theories in one session. Meat makes me feel sluggish, which I'm sure can be/is a digestion/liver issue, which I'm taking supplements for.

I am a blood type A and i have absolutely no problem with any kind of organic meats.

I eat chicken, fish, pork, veal, beef...

As a blood type A, I can eat all all duck, all turkey, chicken breasts only, all lamb, bacon and cured ham only (for pork). Beef is out as is offal. Fish is mixed (Anchovy, (Cod), Crab, (Haddock), (Halibut), Herring, Mackerel, Monkfish, Salmon, Sardine, Sea bass, Shrimp, Skate wing, Tuna are OK so far). All of this is from individual testing done so far. I'm eating much more meat than I was when sticking to D'Adamo's ideas and types.
 
Simple shrimp salad with fresh tomatoes and onion, with warm buckwheat bread.

I am a blood type A also, and my body is welcoming more meat quite fine (beef, pork, chicken and fish) beef and chicken are the ones I eat most they are more easily to obtain … I am eating more meat because (at least) since January I am avoiding cheese and yogurt.

Another type A doing OK on the meat, here. I'm eating mostly chicken and lamb but do beef, turkey and occasionally pork without any issues. Haven't had duck in a long time. I should do more fish, but I don't love it so don't do it often. I seem to not do great on shrimp, but I haven't tested it in a long time.

Another type A, OK with meat and fish but intolerant to lactose, not eating anything with: casein and gluten, except brown and black - wild rice.
 
Buckwheat cooked in 1 tblspoon coconut oil, added 'thick mass' from the bottom of a veggy soup + two bites of chicken.
0.3 kg fresh blueberry. After this i got really hungry, but 18:00pm came and i terrorized my stomach with sunflower seeds with hawthorn tee and homemade chocolate for dessert.

Type A: lot's of chicken breasts lately with 3-4 tblspoons duck fat in the morning. Terrified of pork, because of Adamo, but years ago i loved pork so much! Have a special recipe for it. Can i dare pork now as most of you can eat it? I ask because eating that special pork recipe - i suspect - increased my mental capabilities very well that was so welcome !!
 
Two nice organic pork loin chops fried slowly in goose fat - served with the goose fat, mixed dark green leafy organic salad and lots of sea salt.
Incidentally, I'm blood type AB and seem to do fine with all meats (as long as I have enough aid to digest it....although my stomach seems to be producing a lot more acid on the high fat/low carb diet)....the only possible exception seems to be chicken, but that only seems to be a problem if I eat a lot of it for every meal for several days. Switching from cooking with tallow/lard to almost exclusively goose fat (and some ghee) seems to have helped a lot to do with what I can and can't eat.
Mostly I'm living off beef and pork.
