What's for Dinner?

Tonight was a small portion of salmon and brown rice. I felt the salmon was kinda neutral and I still need to test the brown rice. Decided to half 6 pieces of bacon and a medium sized burger patty.

Okay, blood type A poll: All you A's out there, how is your body dealing with the increased amount of meat you are eating? What type do you eat most? i.e, chicken, fish, red meat

Another Type A here. I seem to do pretty good with chicken, fish still needs more testing and it depends on the type of meat. I do ok with most meat except the NY strip. I could be getting some bad meat but my body has rejected some ribeye and all the NY strip steaks I have cooked. Other than chicken I cant say anything for the rest of poultry. I haven't tried veal even though I do have some.

Tonight was beef patties, hash-browns fried in bacon fat, coleslaw made with homemade mayo, and for dessert non-dairy cheesecake. :)

Have you looked at the sluggish liver thread?

No I haven't looked at the sluggish liver thread yet, been trying to get through the wave series. I have thought about how that may be one of my issue's for my diet and I have started taking 500mg of L-Glutamate for my leaky gut. I will put that thread near the top of my to read list though.

Refried pinto beans with lard with queso de rancho (cheese without grease) fresh tomatoes and mango.

Caballero,

You comment to eat cheese without grease.
I believe this type of cheese is dairy (correct me if I'm wrong).
Dairy is not good for the health, not a good choice.
For me avoiding dairy is critical, even if I like it!

Yours,
Jordi

Hi, jordifs. Yes, queso de rancho is dairy. Here in sonora there are difference betwen fresh cheese and cooked cheese (queso cocido) like menonita cheese from chihuahua , very common or usual here. I didnt know that the grease of milk is not good . I would like to know more about it.
Thanks, jordifs.

Hi All,
After going through a lot of these posts to get gist of our new diet direction and some creative ideas
I had a quick look at my own Blood type's (B) do's n don'ts / pros n cons. I couldn't believe it's recommended
to give chicken a miss! Now I don't know how much value has been placed upon it but I'm going to give it a go
and do a topic search soon as I'm done here. :)

For dinner tonight we're having grilled Kangaroo using coconut oil (sorry Skip :P), with shallow fried (coconut oil) sweet potato shavings as crispy chips. :)

I'll make it quick because I'm not sure this is the thread to discuss this, but I am a B type as well and I found that having stopped gluten, dairy, etc. has allowed me over the months to have some leeway with what D'Adamo is saying. I find that I digest buckwheat or chicken much better, for example (both are normally to avoid for B types). So these guidelines are interesting at first, but it's probably more flexible as you detox, osit.

I'm blood type "B".
I do agree that after a long detox program the body is much more stronger.
After two years I for instance do not react so abruptly when eating tomato and potato, compared to one year ago.
I usually avoid them due to my body reactions.
Recently I experienced to eat them again and my reactions were more subtle (nonetheless I'm in the business to avoid them completely).

Another interesting discovery was that "pork" is to avoid for everybody according to D'Adamo.
When learning about eating more meat and specifically lipids, I put pork into my diet on a daily basis.
My digestion is OK, so I did not understand why this recommendation "to avoid".
When adding pork lard I discovered that my body reacts with acne (same as with dairy).
I've also seen that acne disappears faster than before (I believe my body is stronger).
Removing lard but still eating pork I've seen and I also remembered that I've seen acne on a very "minor grade".
So I discovered that eating pork affects me ... but was so subtle that I didn't notice at first glance.

Another sample was with buckwheat.
I wanted to be sure I can eat it ... I experienced twice with a dish full of buckwheat. Only with olive oil extra virgin, no other extra ingredient or supplement.
I've seen when eating a "heavy amount" that I fall asleep during the digestion.
After some time I've associated that if I fall asleep ... it is a very bad sign, because the digestion process must be gentle.
I write this because it can be of some interest to other people with blood type "B".
I ate several times few amounts and I suspected something. Nonetheless I only realized when experimentation took place with a heavy amount.

For what is worth.
Kisses,
Jordi

Great to Know,
Thankyou both Mrs T.S & Jordi for your input  and as I have only been Gluten & Dairy free for a couple of months I will have a little break from chicken
and buckwheat only to see if there is any difference (you know the saying "how do you know a bad time until you've had a good time" vise versa).
Chicken has been my major protein source for years (not a seafood fan :(), so leaving it out for a little while I may find some beneficial difference or change,
not that I've been sick for years but, who knows.
Thanks again. :)

Vegetable and bacon soup with onions, garlic, ginger, celery, carrots, sweet potatoes. Normally I sprinkle coriander and chili on top for added flavour (for the adults). The kids love it!
