What's the weather where you are?

Ooooh Yeah Thunderstorm with intense showers is happening in Split wright now. All started with violent wind that felt almost like a tornado - lifting every kind of debris in the air. What a relief, at last! It is such a drought - today i even noticed chestnut trees loosing leaves, like in autumn  - There were plenty of them, all yellow on the sidewalk i was gazing on. Strange feeling...

Considering fighting "fire with fire" like Gaby mentioned that hot tea helps in hot and dry conditions. i remembered that long ago i was taking hot showers in this kind of weather - and as i can recall it worked; maybe cause air temperature is always lower than temperature of hot water... I tried it today but (not a pleasant experience thou) i am not sure if i've achieved anything. Interesting: cold protocol for Ice Age and hot protocols for heatwave... :-[

Rain about an inch, dark clouds and lightning finally arrived here in the Carpathian Basin, West of Ukraine! Currently enjoying the night-heat radiating from the walls. Exercise was fantastic! The wind blowing heavy clouds cooled my perspiration covered body, so sometimes it felt almost cold. :)

Italy, Apennines. It's so hot here that I can barely function! Back home every day at 8 p.m., fish-boiled, ready for a cold shower indeed. It's maybe the third week in a row with 35+Celsius. The house is at a steady 30 deg. C. from 10 a.m to 10 p.m.
When you leave your car under the sun and you check the temperature, it's usually 42-44. And humidity is very high.
Please stop! I know someone's beaming death rays from above !!!

Big surprise today for Southern Saskatchewan! It was supposed to reach 31 with a mix of sun and clouds, but only got to 25 with complete cloud cover and some rain.
Right now ( 7:30PM) it's 19 with a slight breeze and blessedly cool. Tonight is supposed to be 14.
Tomorrow is forecast to reach 31. Well, I can only hope it doesn't.

Indeed very true, the good news is that starting from today the heat will backoff a little, maybe for a week (if we would be lucky) we will have a more normal weather, with not so much heat, boy i really hope so. :halo:

Think I've made a call... at 6 p.m. a residual big storm coming from East put the thermometer down 10 deg. !! It's cooling down finally! House at 26 Celsius now, what a relief ;D

It's been quite cold here in Australia during the last two weeks. First we had sleet and then our heaviest snowfall in 30 years (in my area). Very strong winds as well.

It's warmed up significantly over the last few days, even when raining. The system dumped a lot more rain (over 60mm) than was forecast, producing quite a bit of runoff.

Yet another cold front will arrive tomorrow.

Croatia
Tonight, the thunder storm and heavy rain that is in less than two hours dropped 10.5 liters per square meter swept the city Karlovac, damage adds up, Karlovac looked like this:

A summer storm swept across the Netherlands yesterday with severe gales. One person died, several others were wounded, public transportation was temporarily disrupted or completely shut down for a while, trees were uprooted, etc. etc.

Wow, are we ever getting the end-of-the-world-weather here, or what!
Starting yesterday, it clouded over and started raining non-stop up until today. 60mm in my small city, 89mm in the capital city 65ks to the east. South-western Manitoba got the 4th largest tornado in North America this year, as well as generating four smaller twisters. Luckily, no one was killed.
It is continuing to rain heavily with the wind at 66k/hour, with gusts to 90. It's supposed to clear up this evening, with winds diminishing to 30k. Beginning tomorrow, and for the rest of the week, the forecast is for sunny skies, with the wind at 30k.

After a few degrees lower temperature and a cloudy sky past weekend, we have another heat wave in Macedonia. Temperatures reached almost 40 and it hasn't rain for a month. The forecasts is that next week we will have a little lower temperatures .Lets hope for it.

In the Netherlands July 2015 has been a month full of extremes: a heatwave, ground frost, lots of rain in places, too dry in others, summer storm with record gales, average temps above normal, more sun hours than normal, etc.
