What's the weather where you are?

Northeastern British Columbia, Canada it's -32C (-26F) with lots of ice fog. The trees and fences now have about three layers of hoarfrost. Pretty if you are inside. :/ It's supposed to go to -5C by next Wed. Break out the bermudas and sandals!

:D

By comparison, a balmy -21C here; the house is creaking and cracking and the fire wood pile is going down. I see over in eastern Alberta/Saskatchewan, windchill's are bringing temps down into the high -40'sC and even -50's. Vancouver island, in parts, was/is -19C - very very unusual for them on the coast - it will be hard many people.

Calgary, Alberta, Canada: -28C, -37 with the wind chill. Brrrr.

The worst part is that I don't even get to smoke my pipe right now...I only smoke outside and I refuse to smoke in this weather!

Holy frost! That certainly is cold!

This winter should be interesting enough.

That's VERY cold, herondancer! Brrr...In comparison to you, -9C temperatures that we're supposed to get next week are indeed quite comfy and warm (-3C at the moment). Xaver is supposed to pass through us on its way to Russia this weekend, and many here expected the replay of the heavy snowfall and winds of March this year, but so far nothing serious (knock on wood). Good luck to everyone with their freezing weather. Keep warm!

Here in Southern Saskatchewan it's -25 with a wind chill factor of -45 Celsius (Brrrrr).
Out of the norm for this time of year, but not unusual.
On the plus side, it's supposed to warm up to -7 by Tuesday. And, we don't have a lot of snow to contend with. Freezing rain and snow that was supposed to materialize last Monday did not happen, so that's a plus.

In the Willamette valley of western Oregon it's 15F or nearly -9.5C. That's about as cold as it usually gets here in the winter due to the moderating influence of the Pacific ocean 50-75 miles to the west, and it's only early December. It's not very cold compared to interior regions, of course, but it's chilly.

Today it snowed in Cairo for the first time in 112 years according to locals on Twitter.

Italy - foggy from 18:00 pm to 12:30 am and temp from 8 to 0 deg. C.
Very humid and cold and with a little puff of wind, just a bit below terrible

Last month a 'water bomb' of rain almost changed the landscape near the bed of a little stream in Central Appennini. Eventually the stream went 10x the size it used to be, if not more. There are a few folks living around there, but the damage was huge in proportion to the population density anyway.

Dangerously cold this morning, minus 28C and with the wind factor minus 34C.

I will play inside today. :read:

Here is a picture of the sphinx covered with snow (I guess it's one more proof of global warming )

It's unseasonably cold here in Toronto, too. It's been -12 to -14C the past few mornings. This is usually the kind of weather we get in January or February, if at all. December usually hovers around 0 to -5C. It's not unheard of to have weather this cold in December, but it's not the norm!

Bizarrely, the weather is not bad at all here in Belgium: from 6 to 8°C today. Not exactly T-shirt weather but normally it's -5 at this time of the year...

Really cold. -19°C and -28°C wind factor in Monteal. Quite a cold wave these days.

Waiting for 20-30 cm of snow from tonight to Sunday night.

Brrrrrr!

The same here. And I think we have seen the sun more than usual. There are still lots of insects.

Today, in up-state NY, it`s snowing. The forecast says up to 10 inches by Sun morning.

We`re keeping the wood stove toked and plan on doing some canning and a little festive decorating! :cool2:
