Added latest from China: No New Corona Virus cases.

Corona timeline

CHINA November, 2002: After its experience with the SARS outbreak in Guangdong Province in 2002, China implemented a rapid response protocol for infectious diseases. The protocol empowered the Health Ministry to assemble professional and managerial help from across the country, established an emergency response coordinating team, prepared funding and authorization for supplies, equipment and emergency health care facilities, anticipating that existing hospitals would be overwhelmed.

USA September 2008: Though the first cases of H1N1 swine flu were reported in California and Texas in late March, 2009, subsequent genetic analysis suggests that it began six months before it was first detected, in September, 2008, at the start of the ‘flu season. The CDC admits, below, that earlier Covid-19 cases went undetected, too

SEVEN YEAR GAP

USA JULY, 2015:
Patent application lodged for attenuated coronavirus by The Pirbright Institute (UK), application granted November 2018.

USA June, 2017: World Bank issues Pandemic Bonds for emergency pandemic financing and pandemic insurance.

USA May, 2018: The President Fires the entire US Pandemic Response Team and does not replace it.

USA November 2018: Patent application for attenuated coronavirus (see July 2015) granted.

USA April, 2019: An outbreak of severe vaping-associated lung illness is exclusively confined to the United States, despite the fact that the majority of vapers live outside the US.

USA July 3, 2019: The CDC halts research at Fort Detrick, citing “national security reasons” for not releasing information about its decision.

USA Jul 14, 2019: Chinese researcher escorted from infectious disease lab amid RCMP investigation. Public Health Agency of Canada describes it as a possible ‘policy breach,’ no risk to Canadian public. The first Chinese to discover or warn about the Covid-19 outbreak?

AUSTRALIA August, 2019: Australia Health Management Plan for Pandemic Influenza released.

USA August, 2019: First Vaping Death Reported by Health Officials “Amid the lack of information, investigators scrambled to find shared links to the respiratory problems. Officials said earlier this week that many patients, most of whom were adolescents or young adults, had described difficulty breathing, chest pain, vomiting and fatigue,” the precise symptoms of Covid-19 infection.

USA October 18, 2019: The Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security in partnership with the World Economic Forum and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation hosted Event 201, a high-level pandemic exercise on October 18, 2019, in New York, NY. Event 201 simulated an "outbreak of a novel zoonotic coronavirus transmitted from bats to pigs to people that eventually becomes efficiently transmissible from person to person, leading to a severe pandemic that leaves 65 million dead.

USA/CHINA October 27, 2019 At a peak of international tension and the ‘flu season in the northern hemisphere, on the eve of China’s biggest travel season, 300 American military servicemen visit Wuhan for the International Military Games.

USA December, 2019. A Chinese medical researcher is arrested in Boston trying to take biological samples back to China. Zheng Zaosong, of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, confessed to taking material from a lab in Boston. FBI Special Agent Kara Spice found 21 wrapped vials containing a “brown liquid” that appeared to be “biological material” (samples of post-mortem lung tissue look like ‘brown liquid’). Zheng’s roommate, also a researcher, told FBI agents that two labmates of Zheng had succeeded in getting specimens to China. China, presumably, now went on high alert.

USA/CHINA December 2019: Chinese researchers in the USA informed China’s Health Ministry of a novel Coronavirus outbreak there, triggering a readiness alert nationwide. The WHO describes what happened next, “In the face of a previously unknown virus, China has rolled out perhaps the most ambitious, agile, and aggressive disease containment effort in history…China’s bold approach to contain the rapid spread of this new respiratory pathogen has changed the course of a rapidly escalating and deadly epidemic.”

CHINA Dec 26, 2019: Jixian Zhang detects four anomalous pneumonia infections in Wuhan and reports them to the provincial CDC the next day. The provincial authorities immediately inform the national CDC which prepares to implement the pandemic response protocols.

GERMANY December 25-December 31, 2019: Charité (clinic in Berlin) starts developing test for the new Corona virus after first informal information reaches them. Later sends prototype to China, "unnamed colleagues" in China confirm that it works. WHO then publishes the test on its website as the first test. China develops own test, but demand is high elsewhere - even in Southeast Asia.

CHINA December 30, 2019: China’s national CDC notifies the WHO

CHINA December 31, 2019: WHO reports Zhang’s discovery to the world.

MALAYSIA January 5, 2020: Malaysia’s Assistant to the Prime Minister, Matthias Chang, speculates that the US is waging biological warfare on China.

USA Jan 6, 2020 Infectious disease expert Amesh A. Adalja, M.D., senior scholar at the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security, agrees, “We are on track to have a season like the 2017-2018 season,” when 80,000 Americans died of flu complications.

CHINA January 7, 2020: China identifies the virus as 2019-nCov and confirms it five days later. President Xi tells officials that the country is on a ‘war footing’

CHINA January 13, 2020: China makes the first 2019-nCov test kits available.

USA January 19, 2020:
A 35-year-old man presented to an urgent care clinic in Snohomish County, Washington, with a 4-day history of cough and subjective fever. He disclosed that he had returned to Washington State on January 15 after traveling to visit family in Wuhan, China.
Apart from a history of hypertriglyceridemia, the patient was an otherwise healthy nonsmoker. On January 20, 2020, the CDC confirmed that the patient’s nasopharyngeal and oropharyngeal swabs tested positive for 2019-nCoV. By Jan. 30, the patient’s symptoms had resolved, according to a New England Journal of Medicine paper. Snohomish County officials allowed him to leave home isolation three weeks later.

CHINA January 25, 2020: Construction begins on a 1,000 bed intensive care hospital in Wuhan.

CHINA January 26, 2020: China extends Spring Festival holiday to contain the outbreak.

USA January 28, 2020: Harvard Chemistry Professor Arrested, Handcuffed, And Accused Of Lying About Ties To China. Charles Lieber, Chair of Harvard’s Department of Chemical Biology, led a Chinese research group focusing on the use of nanotechnology to identify viruses.

CHINA February 5, 2020: First patients moved into new 1,000 bed intensive care hospital.

CHINA February 23, 2020. Chinese scientists found genomic evidence that the seafood market in Wuhan was not the source of the novel coronavirus. Their genetic data suggests the virus was introduced from elsewhere and had already circulated widely among humans in Wuhan before December 2019, probably beginning in mid- to late November.

CHINA February 27, 2020: On Taiwan TV a prominent virologist explained flow charts suggesting that the coronavirus originated in the US.

USA March 3, 2020: The Director General of the WHO announced: "While many people globally have built up immunity to seasonal flu strains, COVID-19 is a new virus to which no one has immunity. That means more people are susceptible to infection, and some will suffer severe disease. Globally, about 3.4% of reported COVID-19 cases have died. By comparison, seasonal flu generally kills far fewer than 1% of those infected." This was patently false. The coronavirus mortality rate reported by the media as stated by Dr. Ghebreyesus is completely inaccurate as all subsequent numbers show.

CHINA March 4, 2020
: February rail freight loadings rise 4.5% YOY.

CHINA March 5, 2020: Shipments to foreign JIT customers upgraded: government subsidizes upgrades from sea to rail delivery and from rail to air delivery.

USA March 6, 2020: Question: How did the virus come to the United States? Answer:The first known patients in the U.S. contracted the virus while traveling in other countries or after exposure to someone who had been to China or one of the other affected areas. But now, a few cases here cannot be traced to these risk factors. This is concerning because it suggests the illness may be spreading across communities for which the source of infection is unknown, which we call community spread/transmission. Dr. Emily Landon, spokesperson, U Chicago School of Medicine.

USA March 9, 2020: HHS staffers often weren’t informed about coronavirus developments because they didn’t have adequate clearance. He said he was told that the matters were classified “because it had to do with China.”

USA March 11, 2020: White House classifies coronavirus deliberations. The meetings at HHS were held in a secure area called a “Sensitive Compartmentalized Information Facility,” or SCIF, usually reserved for intelligence and military operations. HHS has SCIFs because theoretically it would play a major role in biowarfare or chemical attacks.

CHINA March 10, 2020: Government organizes and subsidizes bus, rail and air transport for two hundred million migrant workers to return to urban jobs.

USA March 12, 2020: CDC director Robert Redfield admits to a House Oversight Committee that some Americans who were diagnosed as dying from influenza tested positive for Covid-19 posthumously.

USA Mar 13, 2020: Chinese FM’s Lijian Zhao demands US authorities reveal what they’re hiding about the origins of Covid-19. “When did patient zero begin in the US? How many people are infected? What are the names of the hospitals? It might be the US army who brought the epidemic to Wuhan. Be transparent! Make your data public! The US owes us an explanation!”

CHINA March 16, 2020: Ninety percent of businesses expected to resume full operations. All Apple stores open.

CHINA March 19, 2020: No new corona virus cases.

***

Postscript: Researchers have greatly advanced their understanding of viral evolution since H1N1 a decade ago and finding patient zero is now more science than art. Recently, a team of Chinese researchers claimed to demonstrate that Covid-19 was born in September, 2019. The British researchers who had discovered the earlier H1N1 date are not convinced.

Since Sunday 15-03 I am feeling like I am sick. I have a feeling that I have a high temperature, but when I measure it with a thermometer it is normal. A feeling similar to a Reiki heat. I don't know how to describe it. It is not just temperature, it is a general feeling. I feel so strange, I can't describe it with words, I don't know how. I am in good health generally.
Maybe this sensation comes from the Wave. reality change, timeline change, I don't know, or just a stress reaction to all the madness.

It could be all of the above. I have been having these heat waves for quite some time now and I don't think they are hot flashes. It happens when I think of FOTCM for instance. Or at night I sometimes see a light, most of the time it is diffuse, but there were occasions that it was so bright that I had to check where that source was coming from.

I also seem to pick up on events and feelings of others more easily than I used to. Sometimes these warnings are symbolic and not as bad as I think they are, sometimes they are spot on (and I only know after a certain event has played out).

I keep thinking about Nazi Germany and how the Dutch authorities cooperated with them and the post-war chaos that was unleashed on the population by these 'fingermen' (a V for Vendetta term) aka enforcers while the Dutch government was still in London. History is very useful in times like these.

Some promising news from Wuhan:

China eyes end to coronavirus, plays down warnings of 'second wave'
Chinese scientists and health experts involved in the country's fight against the coronavirus believe the worst is now over, downplaying warnings that the disease could become seasonal or that a deadlier "second wave" could hit later in the year.

I had forgotten about that! That exchange changes my assumption in Scenario 2, that 'they' can endlessly fiddle with economic numbers without breaking things due to structural weaknesses - not least, wishful thinking!

I had forgotten about that! That exchange changes my assumption in Scenario 2, that 'they' can endlessly fiddle with economic numbers without breaking things due to structural weaknesses - not least, wishful thinking!

Well, they have endlessly fiddled with the phony numbers for decades now, and they could continue to do so, BUT, what they are doing now (and if it continues) is messing with the real, nut and bolts, economy. If they do that for too long, then they move from the world of imaginary money to real world of physical wealth and wealth production.

Check out this hysterical BS. I mean, are they doing this on purpose? A long line of military vehicles moving "corpses" because the crematoriums are "overflowing". Then you read that it is coffins and then you read that so far, IN TOTAL (i.e. not today, not yesterday, but in the past few weeks), 93 people have died in Bergamo, a city of 122,000.

The following was pointedly sent to me on Facebook today by my cousin who loves to point out that I am wrong on everything - climate science, diet, health, etc., etc. Would love some feedback!

You cousin posted that as a comment on something I wrote on FB. He's wrong, and I told him so and why. He responded by saying that he's "more right" than most.

I don't believe that it's not possible to counter the virus, my bet is trial vaccines will be announced soon. I am also confident that humans have the ability to develop immunity to novel viruses, but let's see how lockdowns work.

While cov-2 is technically 'novel', it's not in practice. To be new it would have to show new symptoms, but it doesn't it shows common flu-like symptoms. In addition, Oz researchers have shown that the human immune response to cov-2 is pretty much the same as the response to the flu. So it seems it's about as novel as the flu.

I've been out the loop last couple of pages... Not sure if this has been mentioned.

Rumors are rife that the British government is about to get the military involved, possibly into London this weekend. Some people are now leaving the city, ahead of the military style lockdown that's coming.

Heard it from 2 sources

- Engineer who used to work at MoD who said he got it from a reliable source (those guys are all connected to each other)
- Family member who lives in London and said there's people leaving
- Someone who works in civil service who said the military are to be deployed.

(my emphasis above)

Well, fwiw, i came across a tweet yesterday claiming the army would be deployed. Firstly the short video claims to show army vehicles on the motorway, then a voiceover claims that his friend in the army called him after a briefing and told him that "100 million percent" the UK will be put on lockdown with the military deployed to supermarkets to ensure no fighting and that there's a limit of 100 people per queue.

Is it true? I guess we'll see. Added: I'm dubious about the video's validity, even though i can imagine they would deploy the army - and so just for the record:

The vaccine will come
"The vaccine will come"

Tübingen
The Tübingen biotech company CureVac has been working on a vaccine against the coronavirus since January. In an interview, managing director Friedrich Bohlen talks about how the tests work and when a vaccine can be expected.

Millions of people are hoping for the Tübingen biotech company Curevac, which is driving the development of a corona vaccine. We spoke to Friedrich von Bohlen, managing director of Dietmar Hopp's holding company Dievini, which holds 82 percent of Curevac. Bohlen is also a board member of Curevac.

CUREVAC
A Krupp descendant in biotechnology
Curevac The shareholders are Dievini (82 percent) and the Gates Foundation (3 percent), the rest belongs to the founders and is in free float. Curevac has 430 employees, 410 of them in Germany.
Friedrich von Bohlen was born in Essen in 1962. His father was one of Alfried Krupp's five brothers. His grandmother was Bertha Krupp. He studied biochemistry and business administration in Zurich and is a co-founder of Dievini.
How far are you with the development of the vaccine?

Bohlen We are making good progress. We will soon be able to go to preclinical tests and test the vaccine on animals. In summer we can start human clinical trials. Above all, we have to find the right dose.

The most important question for people: when could the vaccine be launched?
Bohlen It depends on many factors and also on how this pandemic develops. If it goes dramatically, accelerations will be possible. But I am certain that the vaccine will come.

How fast could you start up production?
Bohlen It depends on how high the dosage has to be in order to effectively protect a person. If we needed one microgram of vaccine per vaccination, as Curevac recently demonstrated for rabies, one kilogram could vaccinate a billion people. If the dose has to be higher, we also need significantly more vaccine. Curevac would now be able to produce over 100 million cans a year.

Can you explain to laypersons how the vaccine works?
Bohlen Each messenger RNA (mRNA for short) transports the information for the formation of a certain protein. The virus has specific proteins on its surface that are recognized by our immune system. mRNA can also transmit this information to the immune system without a virus, so that the immune system then produces the cells whose antibodies recognize and destroy the viruses if the virus later infects humans. This is also called active immunization. The substance class is new, namely the mRNA, which can be used to immunize almost any infectious disease.

Their success apparently also attracted US President Donald Trump. What happened in the White House in early March?
Bohlen Curevac was the only German company in March at a meeting of pharmaceutical companies on the corona crisis in the White House. After that, speculation arose that Trump would take over Curevac or buy up exclusive supply capacities for the USA. To be clear: there was no such offer from the US government. But I do not want to rule out that a request for a vaccine will also come from the United States, also from other regions.

And then?
Bohlen The line that Dietmar Hopp also represents and made clear: we are in solidarity with people all over the world. And if the demand for the vaccine exceeds supply, there must be a fair distribution mechanism. At the same time, we emphasize that we want to keep and expand high innovations in Germany.

Did the Chancellor or Minister of Health Spahn speak to Mr. Hopp?
Bohlen Not with Mr. Hopp, but there were and are discussions with the company. Even with the European Union.

You speak of a distribution mechanism. Is the country getting the most that pays the most?
Bohlen Certainly not. You will have to prioritize together with the World Health Organization. And there are unpleasant scenarios. You will have to decide whether you prefer to deliver to certain patients or regions or whether you rely on quotas, i.e. a certain amount of vaccine per country.

What can politics do to further support Curevac?
Bohlen We are very happy that EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has pledged EUR 80 million in support to rapidly expand production capacities and thus ensure the necessary quantities of vaccine material. In addition, support for the actual operation is also important. We need highly qualified employees, equipment, material, quality-checked processes. Authorities such as the EMA are required for approval. The speed of this depends on which questions have to be answered in which order and at what depth.

Who had the idea for the vaccine?
PlanksCurevac was founded in 2000 by Ingmar Hoerr and two other researchers in Tübingen. When I met Ingmar in 2004 and he explained his concept to me, it was clear to me: too good to be true, or a highly innovative transformation for all medicine. Today it looks like mRNA can improve all medicine. Not only against almost all infectious diseases, also with cancer or diseases that are based on molecular defects. We, dievini, Mr. Hopp's investment company, have been invested in Curevac since 2006 and have been actively supporting and accompanying the company since then. As a doctoral candidate, Ingmar had found that mRNA can be used as a therapeutic vaccine or active ingredient when administered directly into the tissue if it is optimized beforehand.

Will Ingmar Hoerr still be there?
Bohlen Unfortunately, he recently had to retire as CEO of Curevac because of an illness - but it is not Corona. We hope that he will be back soon.

Curevac isn't the only company looking for a vaccine. How far is the competition?
Bohlen There are two other companies that rely on mRNA: Moderna from Boston and Biontech from Mainz. Moderna has announced that it is already testing on humans. Both companies use modified nucleotides, Curevac uses the natural building blocks for which the company holds many patents.

What's next with the Corona epidemic?
Bohlen You can't say that. It was a good thing that politics reacted now. If the pathogen mutates quickly, it may become a permanent problem. Then we will have to vaccinate against Corona again and again, as is already the case with influenza. But I am confident that Corona will be manageable.

How do you protect yourself?
Bohlen Avoid social contacts and wash your hands again and again. And stay calm. I think it is right that we are currently doing everything possible to prevent the spread. But I see no reason for hysteria.

The following was pointedly sent to me on Facebook today by my cousin who loves to point out that I am wrong on everything - climate science, diet, health, etc., etc. Would love some feedback!

"Feeling confused as to why Coronavirus is a bigger deal than Seasonal flu? Here it is in a nutshell. I hope this helps. Feel free to share this to others who don’t understand...

It has to do with RNA sequencing.... I.e. genetics.

Seasonal flu is an “all human virus”. The DNA/RNA chains that make up the virus are recognized by the human immune system. This means that your body has some immunity to it before it comes around each year... you get immunity two ways...through exposure to a virus, or by getting a flu shot.

Novel viruses can come from animals.... the WHO tracks novel viruses in animals, (sometimes for years watching for mutations). Usually these viruses only transfer from animal to animal (pigs in the case of H1N1) (birds in the case of the Spanish flu). But once, one of these animal viruses mutates, and starts to transfer from animals to humans... then it’s a problem, Why? Because we have no natural or acquired immunity.. the RNA sequencing of the genes inside the virus isn’t human, and the human immune system doesn’t recognize it so, we can’t fight it off.

Now.... sometimes, the mutation only allows transfer from animal to human, for years it’s only transmission is from an infected animal to a human before it finally mutates so that it can now transfer human to human... once that happens..we have a new contagion phase. And depending on the fashion of this new mutation, thats what decides how contagious, or how deadly it’s gonna be..

H1N1 was deadly....but it did not mutate in a way that was as deadly as the Spanish flu. It’s RNA was slower to mutate and it attacked its host differently, too.

Fast forward.

Now, here comes this Coronavirus... it existed in animals only, for nobody knows how long...but one day, at an animal market, in Wuhan China, in December 2019, it mutated and made the jump from animal to people. At first, only animals could give it to a person... But here is the scary part.... in just TWO WEEKS it mutated again and gained the ability to jump from human to human. Scientists call this quick ability, “slippery”

This Coronavirus, not being in any form a “human” virus (whereas we would all have some natural or acquired immunity). Took off like a rocket. And this was because, Humans have no known immunity...doctors have no known medicines for it.

And it just so happens that this particular mutated animal virus, changed itself in such a way the way that it causes great damage to human lungs..

That’s why Coronavirus is different from seasonal flu, or H1N1 or any other type of influenza.... this one is slippery AF. And it’s a lung eater...And, it’s already mutated AGAIN, so that we now have two strains to deal with, strain s, and strain L....which makes it twice as hard to develop a vaccine.

We really have no tools in our shed, with this. History has shown that fast and immediate closings of public places has helped in the past pandemics. Philadelphia and Baltimore were reluctant to close events in 1918 and they were the hardest hit in the US during the Spanish Flu.

Factoid: Henry VIII stayed in his room and allowed no one near him, till the Sweating Sickness that plagued his time had passed...(honestly...I understand him so much better now). Just like us, he had no tools in his shed, except social isolation...

And let me end by saying....right now it’s hitting older folks harder... but this genome is so slippery...if it mutates again (and it will). Who is to say, what it will do next.

Be smart folks... acting like you’re unafraid is so not sexy right now.

#flattenthecurve. Stay home folks... and share this to those that just are not catching on. 🤓"
Got his/her qualifications from MSM media, did they?🤔🤭

Ok, I still have many page to catch up but just remembered some advices that the C gave some years ago. Remember when Ark was in Florence and working at CERN in Switzerland and if I remember was suffering from strange mood, maybe anxiety at the time. If I remember they suggested that he spend some time in nature during the day and take a small dose of alcool before going to bed. Don't know if this can help but sometime old remedy are the best. My two cent.

They don't say it's total, they just say 93. I checked the news in my country and they say that it is 93 deaths for one day, and 533 in total.

For a governement, less expenses on this side + bonus from the inheritance tax side, enough money to close next year's budget.
But for Big Pharma, less people who will eat their daily pills.
Both actor may have opposed interests.

I would say it's coming from higher, and we may see them fighting in the future, maybe it's the plan, or the results of the "broken-plan-that-they-try-to-adapt", and to apply, now, at all costs (?)

I recently get all the Don Camillo movies. An old and well known franco-italian (suite of) movies from 1950+, 5 in total. Just watched recently the first one (wonderful). The third one is named "La grande bagarre de Don Camillo" (the big fight), just funny that i get it recently and at almost the same time I'm trying to figure out here if we are going to see another "grande bagarre" but here, between some "minor" human circles of power. If we are really approaching the final act after a so long cycle, then it's the final fight : each for himself.

At least if you were wondering for something to watch and that you can get it, I recommend to see them, it's really refreshing. (dont know if it exist in other languages thant french and italian ?)

That's what I would bet for, it starts to implode, to crackle !
About what could happen later, I prefer to avoid to give any bad supposition. It's "open" as some are used to say.
The movies of Don Camillo are extraordinary, little master pieces where emotions, good ones, are always present. I was thinking to rerun them these days and also some Marcel Carné movies, and also Louis de Funes ones.
