This looks like the same trench that was on SOTT:

It looks like it is a hoax. Starting at 00:27 until 00:35 you can clearly see that the two poles that are located left and right from that street "where the deep and wide trench" is located, are still there hanging in the air, where there is apparently no ground underneath them anymore.

Ummm... they are suspended by the attached barbed wire. Why in the world would you call it a hoax?

Well, I did not think about that possibility... Actually the people who are standing next to the poles seem to lean towards something in between those poles, which indeed looks like a wire between the poles.

I do not think is a hoax since authorities from the region are studying it.

The robotic style from the video might be a robot like camera in a drone or something like that, apparently the crack started from a dam in construction near by, near an agriculture land called "El jojobal" near the town of Suaqui de la Candelaria, coast side from Hermosillo, Sonora. You can see it at the end of the video. The fissure expands in length and in depth.

The population from Suaqui de la Candelaria and workers from the construction site of the dam, coincide to point out that the phenomena occurred Tuesday at night. No one hear any noises nor movements or similar.

Next day, when workers reach the site in their vehicles with steel tubes, they found out that the road was closed by the fissure/crack, no one could explain how it was formed.

Workers from the Civil Protection Municipality Unit, along with a geologist from the University of Sonora, reached the site, located at the 38 km of the 36 street and 5 km at north.

They estimated that the fissure could be made due to the water filtration storaged in the dam, because the terrain is too soft.

But they do not discard that it could had been formed due to an earthquake registered last week at the coast of Hermosillo, so they are investigating about it.

Ernestina Ruiz, neighbor from the comunity of Suaqui de la Candelaria, commented that no one knew about the earthquake.

Couldn't not find any earthquakes in that area (Sonora state) in August 2014 in USGS site, But there is a news article that, report that there had been earthquakes near Guaymas at the beginning of the this month, that is near, is like 100 km from Hermosillo, Sonora _http://fm105.com.mx/noticias/local/notalocal.php?dID=665705906 But Seismology Mexican site does not seem to work in this computer, so I cannot check it there.

A link is given in this article, in the event there is an eruption, you can watch it live.

Mapped: 568 earthquakes in Iceland in a single day
_http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/watch-the-500-earthquakes-recorded-in-iceland-today/article20174799/

Friday August 22, 2014

For more than a week the earth has been rumbling beneath Iceland’s looming Bardarbunga volcano. The almost continuous small earthquakes led the government to activate its National Crisis Coordination Centre this week and block off access to the largely uninhabited region around the Bardarbunga caldera.

Major airlines are making contingency plans for a potential eruption that could throw dust into the atmosphere and disrupt flight paths between North America and Europe.

International aviation chaos followed the 2010 eruption of the Eyjafjallajokul volcano, when more than 100,000 flights were cancelled.

On the ground, the primary concern for now is the massive Vatnajökull glacier – the largest glacier on the island, under which Bardarbunga lies. ”It would not be possible to evacuate the area in time,” according to an official statement, as an eruption would cause a sudden melt of the glacier.

[bOn Friday the rumbling continued. Using data made available freely by the Icelandic Met Office, here is a map showing all the seismic events around the volcano on Friday, August 22, Iceland local time.

Experts say there is no indication that a full-scale eruption is starting in the area. But if it does, a popular page on the web site for Iceland Review invites you to “Watch the Eruption Live (If and When Starts).”

The earthquakes mapped below were recorded in Iceland from midnight on Friday, August 22 to 4 p.m. local time. The size of the circles represent the magnitude of the earthquake, and the full animation takes just under two minutes.][/b]

I felt it here on the far east side of Hawai'i Island.

Just to continue the watch I only heard about this today but it was a couple of days ago.

Elizabeth Weise, USATODAY 8:18 p.m. EDT August 24, 2014:

NAPA, Calif. — A strong earthquake that rocked Northern California's scenic Napa wine country early Sunday injured more than 100 people, sent brick and concrete tumbling from historic buildings and triggered fires and power outages.

Officials said at least 15 buildings were left uninhabitable, and many more awaited further evaluation. State transportation officials inspected highways and bridges and declared them safe for travel.

The magnitude-6.0 earthquake struck around 3:20 a.m.. For some residents, the temblor revived memories of the last big quake to strike the San Francisco Bay Area 25 years ago, which did major damage.

Mystery glow over the Pacific Ocean: Pilots left baffled by strange
orange and red lights spotted in the dead of night

_http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2734573/Mystery-glow-Pacific-Ocean-Pilots-left-baffled-strange-orange-red-lights-spotted-dead-night.html

They postulate the Ring of Fire as possible origin of glow,
'explosion of a huge volcano just underneath the surface of the ocean.'

Could methane outgassing also play a part in this?

Now THAT is interesting! The pilot said it was the weirdest or creepiest thing he'd seen in his flying career. That's something!

Holy crap, Batman! Jeez, that looks HUGE, whatever it is!

Did you see the photo? If this is real, I agree: it's quite creepy! And as always, I would LOVE to know what the C's have to say about this.

I am sure you saw it but I sent in case somebody lost this link: photos are unbelievable.

These "earthquake lights" seem to be happening more frequently all over the globe. But these strange lights in the Pacific are astounding. :O Looks like things are picking up.

Just looking for some more earth changes I found a Peru earthquake 2 days before the Orange Glow and about the same time as the Califorinia Napa Valley quake.

(CNN) -- A strong earthquake struck southern Peru on Sunday evening, injuring at least two people and damaging buildings, authorities said.
A house was destroyed and 19 other buildings were damaged, including a hospital, Peru's Emergency Operations Center said.
The 6.9-magnitude earthquake hit a mountainous area 43 kilometers (27 miles) east-northeast of Tambo at a depth of 101 kilometers (63 miles), according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The USGS revised down the quake's strength from the magnitude of 7.0 that it initially reported, as well as adjusting its data on the location and depth of the epicenter.
The damaged buildings included 14 houses, three schools and a church, according to authorities.
The emergency center also reported minor landslides in two areas.

I am trying to get a better idea of what is happening where and when. The closeness of the occurrences does not seem to register in the daily news perspective.

Continuing with the Iceland volcano situation, it seems to be on-going.

Update Wed 27 Aug 17:57

Today's earthquakes in the Dyngjujökull glacier and Askja (triangle) area
Over 800 earthquakes have occurred today so far, mostly now beyond the edge of the Dyngjujökull glacier. The crisis is showing no signs of decreasing. The intrusion itself has migrated about 1 km northwards since yesterday, and approaches the Asjka volcanic complex, which is a worrying development. A magnitude 4 earthquake occurred this morning under the eastern caldera rim of Askja (s. image).

IMO does not think an eruption is imminent and announced that it will from now on only post updates once a day (around noon) unless the situation escalates.

The IMO comment seems very laid back considering 800 earthquakes in one day but I am no expert.

Link: _http://www.volcanodiscovery.com/bardarbunga/seismic-crisis-2014/updates.html

The volcanodiscovery site seems to be the most popular but who knows how accurate? I get a feeling that we may not have access to all the pertain-ate information on Google anyway.

One of the comment-ors at the end, Angel Wenton, gave a youtube link for a video about a summer of June 8, 1783 disaster that occurred in Britain.

Her comment was:

Everybody is forgotten what the Laki Fisher erruption did in whole of europe.
But here is the whole documantary full to see. I've got the feeling that they
don't want us to know something?

I thought the video was interesting. I underscored the link to deactivate it.

You can see the plate that extends below Iceland on Google Earth or elsewhere.
