abovetopscret.com EXPOSED!!!!
There are two extremes. One is the type of person with the qualities Jonathan ascribes to members of this forum. There are many members on this forum, and maybe a few out of that many have sounded a bit "Chicken-Little-ish", but then we have had a few psychopaths posting here as well, and that does not mean the forum is psychopathic.
The other extreme is Jonathan.
I think the two extremes have a lot more in common than it seems. Alot of people proclaiming doom left and right really want something to give a bit of excitment to their drab lives, while those bothered by discomforting possibilities are more afraid than those who dare place attention on them.
Yeah, as Don mentioned, I did post about over-emphasis on fear, and how falling into fear can be debilitating. The powers that be want us to be afraid. However, the road to courage is the one that passes through things that trigger fear. To change the discomforting probabilities we have to face them. Avoiding any discussion of things that do concern people (people with families among others), is a bit of an ostritch attitude, isn't it? And the point of facing these things is to understand why they are there, and explore if anything can be done about them. I would call that a mark of courage, wouldn't you?

Famous last words Jonathan. I would say: "Be careful the wishes you make", is a wise thing to remember here.Jonathan said:Don't sing it... Just BRING IT.
