This is a typo - should be 0.3 gramsI take about 0.3h of dry caps every morning on an empty stomach.
The tincture I got says: A. muscaria - Fully decarbed 30% alc. made of 3gr fresh A. muscaria per ml.I purchased a bottle of tincture, I believe it's 2000 mg, 1 ounce (30ml) but I can't equate that into a mathematical formula of how many drops to take. Possibly a questionable vendor because I ordered it before I saw the list of approved ones.. The directions on the box say it's not to be ingested at all, I think because of FDA regulations. The dosage is one dropper but there are no markings on the dropper.
Being cautious, I just took two drops under my tongue before bed on Monday, but no chande in sleep. Last night I took three drops under my tongue and still no change. What I'm looking for, is help with sleep so I'm hesitant to take it in the morning, because I'm sensitive to things and I don't want to be all wired out all day, I already have high morning cortisol and anxiety. Then again, I just may be one of the people that it doesn't work on. I will keep experimenting slowly and perhaps try ordering something different from one of the approved vendors.
And in reading this information, I also found that it can be beneficial for the sleep cycle, so this also made me realize that it could help me with my sleep and my energy.(Z...) ...unravels her clinical survey of over 3000 subjects followed over several years and they all report significant improvement with a whole range of different medical conditions. Apparently it is very hard to find well documented cases of actual death caused by Amanita muscaria. However there is another member of Amanita family - Amanita phalloides which is highly toxic and deadly also known as Death Cap - 90 % of world mushroom fatalites are attributed to this mushroom.Very interesting your experiences Z... and especially on the precautions to take.
The Amanita mushroom also appealed to me without knowing it, but I realized it when I read the October 19 session. Let me explain:
2 weeks earlier, I had listened to a series I watch with my partner about fictitious legal cases (it's a soap opera called “Les indéfendables”), and there was a story about a woman who had been accused of poisoning due to mushrooms she had picked. But she was mistaken: it was the “fly agaric” that had been harvested. Afterwards, she cooked her dried mushrooms in a meal that she shared with the family. Unfortunately, 2 people who had eaten them died. Don't forget that this is a fictional story, but for me, I knew that she wasn't responsible, but rather that it was negligence on her part.
During those two weeks, without thinking about the story described above, I wondered what product and cream I could find to massage my lower back, where I feel constant pain and tension. I also have sleep problems that are interrupted at night by discomfort, joint pain (shoulders and neck) and heat due to my menopause. So I often wake up in the morning feeling tired and lacking energy. In my heart, I'm hoping to find a natural product that could be my ally in relieving these tensions and physical pains. Especially as I've been doing gypsy/oriental dance for 2 years to help me regain flexibility in my pelvis and lower back, also my shoulders to my neck. I've also had osteopathic treatment and am currently undergoing treatment with an orthopedist to help release these muscular and joint tensions. But despite my efforts, the tension and pain are still there. However, I know that all these pains are also linked to memory blocks about my past and my experiences. So, for the past year, I've been on a progress path of introspection and transformation, trying as best I can to do the work we need to do to move forward, and the next step will be my diet.
Having said that, I was surprised to read about the amanita muscaria mushroom (being the fly-killing fungus I've observed before) in the October 19 session, and to see that it not only has a negative side, but also a beneficial side, and that it can bring muscular relief, as mentioned in the session:
And in reading this information, I also found that it can be beneficial for the sleep cycle, so this also made me realize that it could help me with my sleep and my energy.
So I looked for suppliers where I could find a cream to apply externally, as well as a tincture that had been prepared specifically for sleep cycles. Living in Quebec, this wasn't easy, but I was able to find someone who sells and manufactures this kind of product with different mushrooms, including amanita muscaria, and she's located in Canada. I'm happy because I don't have to go through customs because in our country, it's illegal to do this kind of business, but with delivery within the country, it's incognito.
When I receive my order and start experimenting with these products, I'll try to give you a report on my experience, whether it was beneficial, negative or of no effect to me. As I'm sure it's different for everyone.
Thank you for introducing us to this unsuspected facet of Amanita.
As far as I know Amanita Muscaria is illegal only in handful of countries namely:, it's illegal to do this kind of business, but with delivery within the country, it's incognito.
Yes, Amanita muscaria is legal in Canada. It is classified as a natural health product and subject to applicable regulation. Amanita muscaria is subject to regulation under the federal Food and Drugs Act. In 2022, Health Canada designated Amanita muscaria a natural health product.
Here is a guy (John Scott from Australia) that took Amanita muscaria by accident, wrote a book (God's Mountain…fascinating but hard to get) and have some YT interviews about it.Apparently it is very hard to find well documented cases of actual death caused by Amanita muscaria. However there is another member of Amanita family - Amanita phalloides which is highly toxic and deadly also known as Death Cap - 90 % of world mushroom fatalites are attributed to this mushroom.
Having said that Amanita muscaria always has to be treated with utmost respect and caution.
If it is used for recreational purposes i.e. for trips this mushroom is unforgiving. The trips on Amanita muscaria are stuff of nightmares and nobody in the right mind should ever reach to Amanita for this purpose. It is the worse possible scenario since Amanita muscaria in large doses is a dissociative mushroom and causes complete disconnection of mind from the body for several hours. This is extremely dangerous. Apparently Siberian shamans who used it for the “death of ego” would be buried up to their neck to prevent harm to the body whilst under the influence.
That is why if you cannot forage your own and you are going to ingest micro amounts it is very important to find verified supplier who supplies genuine AM and properly prepared.
I posted a list in one of the posts above.
For the purposes you wish to use - it seems it is most effective to apply tincture soaked wraps or poultices on the affected place. Oil extracts can also be used for this purpose. Balms are used mostly for skin issues and skin care and I suspect they are less effective for pain relief or anti inflammatory effect.
Below is the post I just came across on one of the groups - it confirms my suspicions as I noticed lots of inconsistencies in her ascertions, also I wouldn’t trust anyone who conducts “shamanic trips” with AM and advocates - as she calls them “hero doses” that is suicidal!Listen to Amanita Dreamers videos about starting with Amanita Muscaria, not Pantherina!
I've noticed an uptick of mentions of amanita dreamer. I'd like to get your awareness up on that matter and why it pays off to verify everything on your own.
From my experience since departing on this journey, amanita dreamer is probably the biggest source for misinformation on AM at the moment. I don't like to drag her through the mud so I'll try to outline a bit what I experienced and learned. I feel this is appropriate and probably valuable to quite a few on here, especially in terms of harm reduction or people being turned away from a medicine that may be of help to them.
While she has some interesting thoughts on certain matters, she struggles with clearly indicating where the info is coming from. What she does not provide is any sources she has info out of. This is a (gate keeping) issue since no one can verify the info for themselves. Exarcerbating the issue is her liberal mixing of solid facts, wrong info and her own experience while rarely clarifying which it is at any given moment. In addition, she's notorious for deleting comments which are either correcting wrong info, asking for sources or calling out the lack of sources. Especially for beginners it is almost impossible to verify her claims and you're at her mercy, which should give you pause. In this group here there's a somewhat unspoken rule that whatever you're stating as fact should be verifyable and if it's something based on experience, this is made known, too.
Here's a few examples of wrong info circulated by her. Feel free to research this on their own
- the 30-30-30 method of conversion (dispute of that is found in the pinned posts)
- the influence of mj on ibo/mus
- the AM oil recipe
Maybe others feel like adding to this, since there are many more examples
Another warning I'd like to hand out is of the ceremonies she's holding. The one in summer here in switzerland is infamous among the local AM community for how it should not be done. Apparantly, people went crazy and it was due to participants taking responsibility that no one got hurt seriously. This is not necessary, as I know first hand from the ceremonies I have assisted with a shaman who's been working with AM for over 20 years. The issue here is in my eyes the preparation and her ability to hold such a space. It is one thing to hold space for yourself when using AM, it is something entirely different when doing so for others.
So overall, I'd be vary of her teachings for said reasons and would take everything with a grain of salt, especially if it can't be veryfied. Same goes for this group, and also this very post. Do your due diligence because it is your responsibility if you choose to ingest psychoactive amanitas.
My purpose of using amanita will not be recreational since I am a person who has never taken drugs and never smoked a cigarette, I am incapable of it. When I mentioned an "ally" I wanted to make the connection of having a product that will act externally for my muscular and joint pain.Having said that Amanita muscaria always has to be treated with utmost respect and caution.

Amanita Muscaria 1:2 concentrate topical salve
Topical application of Amanita Muscaria is known to help with
The main active ingredient Amanita Muscaria.
- Joint pain
- sciatic nerve
- soreness
- Arthritis
Ingredients:
Amanita muscaria, grape seed oil, beeswax and cocoa butter.
Tinctures come in 40 or 80 ml made with all natural mushrooms personally by me. All are dual extracted using distilled water and alcohol and equal part mushrooms.
Why are dual extracts better because Mushrooms contain some compounds that are water soluble, called beta-glucans, and different compounds that are alcohol soluble, called triterpenes. A double extraction pulls out all of the compounds and has the added benefit of resulting in a shelf stable end product. Strength 1:2 all tinctures personally made by me from 100% fruiting bodies.
Each metered 1ml dropper contains 1000 mg of (mushroom listed on bottle) per 1ml dose
Strength 1:1
This is our decarbed version of our Amanita Muscaria Extracts.
- Sleep
- Severe insomnia
Our tincture are made with a 1:2 ratio alcohol to mushroom.
Use at bedtime, start with 4 or 5 drops, increase by 1 drop or 2 until desired effects’ are achieved
Ingredients, Alcohol, water, (mushroom listed on the bottle), and glycerin
This version contains mostly muscimol, and a minimal amount of ibotenic acid. While we don’t’ have the extra capital to get lab tests to specify the actual muscimol contents,
This product is not for human consumption. It is for educational or spiritual purposes only. These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA. This product is not intended to treat, cure, or prevent any disease.
I actually took my time to look for a good supplier who takes care of the products but above all, in my research, I wanted to have a description on each product and also succeed in finding a balm which was not easy since few suppliers manufacture them. I had already ordered my products before seeing your list, but by taking a look, I was able to notice that there was not much detail on the products offered and that there was not much offer for tinctures or balms. That is why if you cannot forage your own and you are going to ingest micro amounts it is very important to find verified supplier who supplies genuine AM and properly prepared.

Thanks for the info, I will try the salve first and if that doesn't work then, I will take the tincture and make a poultice.
So, this fact really appeals to me and I will take it into consideration if it is really worth trying the ingestion of the tincture for my sleep.SAFETY PROFILE OF AMANITA MUSCARIA
Increased consumer interest and widespread availability are concerns for public health because Amanita muscaria products contain compounds that are toxic including muscimol, ibotenic acid, and muscarine.9 Most scientific literature on the health effects of Amanita muscaria in humans pertains to studies of the ingestion of raw Amanita muscaria mushrooms. These effects include dizziness, dysphoria, visual hallucinations, agitation, ataxia, muscle fasciculation, seizures, and coma.12 While death is rare, it has been reported as an outcome, including a case reported in the last year of a 44-year-old man who died after ingesting 4 dried Amanita muscaria mushroom caps.13 The first documented case of hospitalization due to Amanita muscaria consumption in the United Kingdom was reported in July 2023.14 This case involved a 46-year-old woman who had ingested dried mushrooms (0.5 grams) daily for 2 weeks as part of what is referred to as a “microdosing” regimen that was being followed in an attempt to reduce anxiety without inciting psychotropic properties. She reportedly purchased 20 grams of Amanita muscaria mushrooms from a website advertised on social media.

That is why if you cannot forage your own and you are going to ingest micro amounts it is very important to find verified supplier who supplies genuine AM and properly prepared.

Merci pour cette information, je vais d'abord essayer le baume et si ceci ne fonctionne pas alors, je prendrais la teinture pour en faire un cataplasme. For the purposes you wish to use - it seems it is most effective to apply tincture soaked wraps or poultices on the affected place. A 46-year-old woman, a Ukrainian emigrant, presented to the emergency department (ED) in the early hours of the morning in an acute confusional state. She had been found at home by her son at around 10pm acutely confused, complaining of 'feeling cold’. She had been seen earlier in the evening by a family member and was then well in herself. On arrival to the ED, she had a temperature of 37.9°C but normal vital signs. She was extremely agitated with slurred speech and shouting. She had what appeared to be vivid visual and auditory hallucinations, in addition to involuntary twitching of her upper limbs.
...
Initial laboratory investigations revealed microcytic anaemia and mild lactic acidosis (Table 1). Her ECG showed normal sinus rhythm. Imaging studies, including chest X-ray and CT head, were normal.
...
As the patient became more awake and coherent, a more detailed history was obtained with her 16-year-old daughter acting as an interpreter. Her only past medical history included iron deficiency anaemia. There was no history of recent foreign travel, excessive alcohol intake or recreational drug use. She was not on any regular medications.
She reported a daily ingestion of 0.5 g of raw red-orange mushroom on a regular basis in the evenings for the past 2 weeks. These mushrooms are considered a common herbal remedy to help with sleep or relieve stress/anxiety in her country of origin. She had purchased 20 g of dried mushrooms via a social media website. On the night before admission, she had taken ∼1 g of dried mushroom before going to bed as she had been told by her mother, who was still in Ukraine, that their hometown was being heavily shelled. 2–3 hours later, she woke up feeling drunk with extremely vivid visual and auditory hallucinations, including beliefs that she was flying and her dead grandmother was talking to her, out-of-body experiences, and finally the sense that she had died before being reborn.
