Apocalyptic Wasteland story
Above fictive 'collapse-of-civilization'-worlds are very successful in the videogame industry, as they are in Hollywood: see Mad Max!
Twisted Metal is such a "great" video game series since 1995, in this IP, successive games debuted on Playstation 1, 2, 3, PSP and Windows. Now Hollywood adapted it to the big screen with by now old & fat actors - Neve Campbell, Anthony Mackie, etc.. - are bringing their considerable acting skills to light Up our gray days of Slavery on this Hell on Earth Planet.
We got these Two Guards:
They were sleeping on duty and were captured by Cannibals, who are operating an Honest Restaurant serving best prepared food.
The guards are tied up, each in a big bathtub, where they are dutifully awaiting to be cooked.
The Cannibal Chef in Chief is arguing with his co-Cooks over the spices he wants to use for this new Soup made of Guards.
But, there is a not-so-anymore Lone Star Ranger Sheriff around, whose idea is to stamp out Evil in its roots, so it has no chance to grow. His policemen expertly shoot all Honest Cannibal Restaurant Crew and free the guards, who are now defending their case:
The two are now lying expertly like the 'flow of water', as we say in Hungary, that they are Honest Rangers on recon duty, who were captured by these evil barbarian cannibals.
So, the Hero Sheriff makes them an Offer:
- I'll give you guys a choice:
- You can try and make your way back up north, where it can be pretty dicey,
{because of the Apocalypse, Civilization collapsed and cities walled themselves up with guards and threw the criminals outside the walls Into The Great Wasteland of Collapsed America}
- or if you can take the grit, join us in bringing law and order
back to the Divided States of America.
:D That's the joke. A collapsed America in the Wasteland of the future. Many Intellectual Properties made fortunes of this Wasteland setting: Warhammer, Mad Max, many TV Shows, especially the Cyborg ones, videogames like Fallout 1-2-3-4, etc.. etc...
