Bladder Cancer

Found out today that the scar tissue is back and blocking my ureter again. So tomorrow I have to go and have the nephrostomy tube put back in my kidney and await more tests. My doctor told me today that he thinks he will have to do surgery to repair it since he already did the "roto rooter" thing and it didn't fix it for very long. So round two, here we go!

I am just very thankful that I am still cancer free!

Ugh. Sorry to hear that you have to go back in but I'm glad you're cancer free and seemingly in good spirits. :hug2:

Same here. Hang in there and keep us updated when you can.

DANG, Angela! Hopefully, the surgery will fix it. As you said, though, you are still cancer-free.

Hang in there.

Good news about being cancer-free, and not so good about requiring more surgery.

I'm sorry to hear that Angela, hope it will all go well. Your positive attitude is inspiring and I'm sure that will help during the process :hug2:

Well, that what really matters isn't it? The ureter surgery should be quick and easy. :)

Hey everyone, thanks for the good thoughts. I made it through that and I am home today taking it easy. The procedure should have only taken about an hour, but they had some trouble getting the needle into the right spot in my kidney so it lasted about 2 and a half hours. Feeling pretty bruised and sore, but it should heal up pretty quick. The Doctor said that they caught it early so no damage was done to my kidney and that is good news since I only have the one that works.

Now I just wait a week or two and they will run some dye through my kidney down through my ureter, and see where the blockage is. Then I will know where we go from there. :)
