Howdy all,

The Am-EU group finishes both Chapter 11 and Chapter 12 of Dr. Andrew's Łobaczewski's Logocracy: A Concept of the State System (translation by Harrison).
  • Start: (Chapter 11) "Therefore, this provision of the constitution should be considered both unenforceable in practice and also—criminogenic. As such, it should be declared null and void."
  • End: (Chapter 12) All the way to the end.

Logocracy - Chapter 11: Logocratic Law

Psychological analysis reveals that the idea of accusing another of being mentally abnormal occurs the most in the minds of mentally aberrant individuals, and less so in those who only have a bad conscience of the accused. As it relates to criminal law, the specialist will be cognizant of this principle and may order a psychological examination of the accuser, acting as a deterrent to those that leverage law as a weapon.

There's no current legislation that protects the mental health of individuals from pathological individuals, who contribute greatly to ponerogenesis. It is the work of Logocracy to create special provisions built into law that would protect those who do great good for others.

For Łobaczewski, capital punishment in a logocratic society serves as a rare, non-punitive method of protecting folks against individuals who threaten them with death and disability. This is no light sentence—it would be considered with careful research and examination of the offender to determine if he or she is mentally abberant and unable to be rehabilitated. If sentenced, the individual would go out in the least painful method and wouldn't be done under the guise of punishment.

As it relates to military and war laws, forced coercion under penalty of death would no longer be a thing due to it going against natural law.

Law reformation would ease the rigidity of the law as it pertains to its distinct character based on philosophical doctrine. Instead, it would be based on an objective cognition of reality, where lawyers would rid their minds of thinking errors and adopt truth-seeking, critical thinking with regards to understanding others.

Logocracy - Chapter 12: Political Parties

The logocratic association will be able to to nominate individuals for elective and legislative bodies, paving the way for people with the right to citizenship to partake in political activity who aren't affiliated with any party. The boon is that these individuals will be better suited to compromising and meeting the requirements of the existing, older political parties and seek knowledge-based solutions in a more objective manner.

Łobaczewski notes that these new ripples introduced among the current political parties would introduce pushback—at least initially. It is the hope that these parties, rather than lose part of their meaning, would transform in a positive manner and that eventually, a better system than democracy will be established.

A party carrying the idea of national identity and tradition, promoting a looser connection with a supranational organization, greater demands for competence, especially on civil law, and Christian moral values, will have a lasting sense of existence in our country.

Łobaczewski mentions a socialist party in charge of the welfare (both physical & mental) of people along with their duty to protect of nature will be vital socially and politically—even at the expense of prosperity. It's a net gain in part because it would resonate among the people, creating positive effects in areas of society.

The primary duty of the logocratic association is to prepare citizens for acquiring civil or parliamentary rights via parliamentary studies with the intent of getting them into parliament and in senior positions. Naturally, they will enter the same sphere inhabited by current political parties, creating shakeups in ideas, causing opinions to naturally clash. Łobaczewski highlights the importance of compromise to to be flexible with others and to promote moderation through unity. Discussions will be infused with the logocratic spirit that accepts with humility, "the most general truths and values empirical knowledge."

Hello everyone!

Here are the Video and Audio for last week's workshop on Chapter 13: The Logocratic Association. Below is the synopsis.

In this chapter we discussed more about the Logocratic association– a moderate apolitical non-party offering an opportunity for people to learn more about the political system without adhering to any specific ideology (Right/Left) and therefore seeking policies and practices that are for the benefit of the general public. But also, how outside the US, some other countries have multiple parties and so need to form coalitions and make concessions, opposed to the concentrated power in the US.

Political campaigns start years before the election – a lot of wasted money going towards funding hoopla. This association can exclude members of other groups, i.e. Special interest groups like the WEF or those with dual citizenship (Israeli lobby).

This association, along with the Counsel of the Wise would be akin to Mouravieff's circles within circles. General knowledge of pathocracy within society would help to buffer these groups from corruption. Might be more people in current system in the lower levels who really do want to be of service.

The association exists as an advisory group existing outside the political system yet act as a check and balance to the political system. Similar to the WEF but in a good way. A group that slowly introduces people into the public sphere that would cause ripple effects and changes by choosing the right people who are of strong, moral character. Along with having the associations strength to draw on, which would be set up legally through the Constitution and partially funded by the State.

If psychologists are intelligent and not damaged in some way, could provide a filter to screen out people who had mental issues, but who screens the screener, who watches the watchers? Must go for maximum transparency.

Discussion of citizenship and proving you are 'worthy' of it through education and knowledge gained. But what name would you use for someone born in the country but doesn't have the right of citizenship. A tiered system of sorts? Similar to the esoteric circles? A good framework, but something more is needed. i.e. Spiritual. What about a shifting of realities. These discussions are good exercises in understanding how to build a new reality but may not be feasible in our current world. Service to others would be a major understanding of the Logocratic Association and Wise Counsel, who would also have a good understanding of STS.

Tomorrow, we will be covering Chapter 14: The Wise Counsel. See you then.

I would like to participate on January 7th. Can I just join? And/or is there something specific to do or prepare in advance?

This is a good intro for the author and the book we're discussing in the meetings: Introducing Logocracy

In essence, he writes about the ebb and flow of state systems throughout history, and how some are doomed to fail eventually. They are mainly pathocracies, where a small minority of individuals--often psychopathic--take the reigns of society, causing lots of downstream problems.

The author proposes a new state system that learns from the mistakes of history, learns what has worked, as well as aligning itself to humanistic ideals and the laws of nature, called Logocracy. Details at various levels are expounded in the chapters.

This is the short gist of it, so feel free to join! We also post summaries of the chapters (with links to the reading and meeting videos) in this thread too as we go. We are halfway through the book too I believe, but still a long ways to go.

Welcome back everyone in our Au-Asia-Am group! Just a reminder that we will be starting up our workshops again from tomorrow.

We will read Laura's series on The Cosmic Context of Greek Philosophers Part 7 for our next meeting on Saturday 6 January at 7 pm Sydney daylight savings time (GMT +11).

I will post a reminder with links to the meeting, 30 mins to an hour before we start. See you all then!
