Coronavirus Pandemic: Apocalypse Now! Or exaggerated scare story?

Out chatting to our next door neighbors just now (many of whom have taken to sitting outside facing the little green we all live on - which is no bad thing because probably the first good dose of spring air many have had for a while) - whilst of course respecting 'social distancing' - when one piped up:

"Isn't it strange?! Here we are being ordered to keep 3 meters apart and respect social distancing... well today on the TV news all the health department ministers were lined up spouting this stuff, rammed right next to each other chair upon chair with hardly an inch between them... dont make sense...!'

I smiled and said nothing - out of respect for social distancing of course... because its not really a good idea to point out the glaringly obvious that there's one rule for them, another for the rest of us. Odd that!

NY State Governor Cuomo just popping up on TV asking non-essential state personnel to stay home, and recommending private businesses voluntary closings, reduce activity and remote work. Schools to remain still open however, due to childcare services.

wow, this is probably the fastest topic on forum! I'm not concerned with the virus but I couldn't believe people will react so mean and crazy. Unfortunately couldn't reed all of your comments because there's 131 page at the moment.
I work last 2 weeks in my home town as a post(wo)man and that's stressful itself, but how people react when I knock on their doors, they're crazy.
One old lady said I should die and to go to hell, other people also swear at me, I really feel uncomfortable.
The state is closed, you can't run away anywhere and god knows how long this will last. I don't know how will economy recover, we might end up like a big Gaza. I don't care if I get sick or if I die but confronting loonies on a daily basis it's a living hell.
I don't know what to do honestly. Is it just me or is like that elswhere? Do your neighbours want to kill you? Because of tp or something?

If I may, maybe we are to much excited about all of this. Sorry if my opinion is wrong I think that we've got enought information to regroup ourselfs. As I understand from posts here the virus isn't that much dangerous as everybody on media thinks. It could be with as in different forms from long ago and it could connect with other disfunction of our health to kill us. Other important threath in all of this is mass control and open steps of STS to dominate and put fear into us. Maybe this is the starting point to help others keep lead calmly throught this and put our anchors like C's said. Here is video that was created to promote Poland but if we could forget about Poland history this could be video that gives me hope about world

As of 18:00 today all horeca and sport related buildings in Holland must be closed until the 6th of april, all school have been closed now as well. More restrictions will probally be imposed in the following weeks. Some of my colleagues at the airport do not understand the hysteria that surrounds this virus. It's not the virus that's the problem, but the people, the panic that is being created. But there are also collegueas that are terrified of the virus.

I have been spreading around about Ascorbic acid vit c as a supplement for people to buy(to colleagues that are open minded about it - some allready have - also gave instructions - half a tea spoon every 2 hours if sick, otherwise 3 times a day - morning, afternoon and evening). If people just keep their immune system strong enough during this period, this whole thing will pass anyway without any symptoms for those that take care of themselves. I mean it's not rocket science. But alas some are so brainwashed they stock up on toilet paper.

Hi Kmicic. Thank you for sharing the video about Poland's 1200 year history. Beautifully made and fascinating. However it was also very sad to watch the familiar sickening picture that's gone on worldwide rolled out in just 8 mins - that of ordinary people trying to go about the quite, collaborative action of building something, doing business, tending to communities, painting, writing, creating music - only for every other minute (century) some bunch of schizoid psychos coming along and smashing it all down. Yes great to see the human spirit rolling down the centuries, always picking up the pieces and starting hope off again... but... the end of the film is to my mind a terrible con because it not only denies the previous 8 with its joyous fireworks and glittering spires (as if they are not waiting to be torn down once again by the age old problem) but the final triumphant landing on the EU logo!!!! As if that is the answer to 1200 years of cyclical reality... and that you have nothing to fear now we are here (plus NATO under its radar) ... is that what Polish people really believe because if it is they have a big shock coming?

In my country they opened the phone lines about Corona virus, but majority of the people who called do not have any symptoms, they are just scared. So now they are opening new lines for people without symptoms, but who are just scared.

What are they doing to the poor people is incredible. They also reduced the limit of number of people at gatherings from 100 to 50, and are talking about introducing the curfew in the future.

And in Slovenia, all public transport will be canceled!

People are commenting that they feel like they are in some kind of apocalyptic movie.

Yes, cash is now being perceived as a transmission mechanism of the virus so people are avoiding using it. Comes in very handy for the PTB as it mitigates the possibility of having a run on banks, and gives them an additional excuse to eventually abolish it completely.

Furthermore, one of the likely consequences of social distancing will be increasing online classes, teleworking, videoconferencing as well as take-aways and whatnot, further reducing face-to-face communication between people who will be spending increasingly more time in front of a screen. Not healthy at all for society! Could even be used as a reason to push for 5G.

To be clear, I attached this video just because if I could forget about our history and UE it gives me hope: Watching people who fight for "good". I don't want to advertise anything. That UE logo in the ind is terryfing. It's hard to say something about Poland. It's nation that could destroy and hate itself but when someone enter to the Polish bar and says that some people want to take control in "our" teritory and we must give them lessons, people in bar could stand up and go straight to destroy them or say that it doesn't matter :D It's very interesting to watch thsi nation where if you say that "You can't do that" you get answer "But unofficialy I can?" :_D

From this morning coverage on US TV, they just start to realize the impact of closures and start asking questions as where we're headed to:
-Schools are closed.
-Sport events are cancelled.
-Churches/religious services are closed.
-AP was closed after one case in their NYC office.
-Fox News was closed for disinfection.
-Live audience TV shows are cancelled for the next two weeks.

Trump will meet with food supply chain execs today.

Drive-thru testing starts in NYC, LA.

"Social distancing" becomes a buzzword.

Lots of guess work among panelists.

My guess: most of the people will get up tomorrow morning, and go to their work as usual.So far I haven't heard the word 'quarantine' mentioned often, that would be the next serious escalation.

What I have noticed for a very long time is that people are walking around as if they are shell shocked often staring at each other with
a blank stare which indicates to me that they are hypnotized. I experience it also but I'm more or less aware of what's happening around me due to our psychological studies here and just basic knowledge and common sense reasoning of the situation. The blank stare that they are "transmitting" out to those around them is, I think, one means by which this hypnotic state is propagated out into the populace to enhance it's affects.

One moment people are experiencing "calm" and the next moment there is terror. On and off, on and off, and so it goes like an emotional strobe light that basically leaves people passive, hypnotized and shell shocked. I'm sure the trajectory of all this programming is directed in such a way so that the sleeping/hypnotized world populace will want to follow some authoritative "force" at some point to lead them wherever they are ordered to go. As Gurdjieff said people are becoming voluntary prisoners, they want it. Much like the Eloi of the 'Time Machine' passively all lining up in lockstep to be eaten by the Morlocks.

Could the same principle apply for humans - dab around the nostrils or swab just inside the nose with white/decolorized iodine several times a day? Our local CVS drugstore has white iodine, 2 oz for $6.49.

Meanwhile, Columbus has its first CV19 case, a 49 yr old man who had been on a Carnival cruise ship. The cruise had departed and returned to New Orleans and traveled to Cozumel and the Yucatan - Feb. 29 to March 5. Statewide 26 cases (ages 34 to 86; 12 females - 14 males), 7 of whom have been hospitalized - no deaths. Doctors, dentists, and vets asked to postpone elective surgery to free up supplies of masks, medical supplies, medical equipment, and beds.

Numerous businesses, governmental offices, health care facilities are being impacted by the new restrictions and limitations with resulting cancelled events, limiting attendance, changes in procedure. I'm personally aware of one institution (already in precarious financial shape) in danger of tipping over the edge due to loss of revenue from the measures it must take because of CV19. The economic fallout will be the real tsunami affecting us all!
