The virus could be worse than we think.

Let's hope not but prepare for what's most likely coming:

(Joe) Give us a percentage of the coronavirus becoming a REAL pandemic in the sense of global and LOTS of people dying.
A: Low.

Q: (Joe) That's what I thought. It's something else.
(L) But that doesn't mean that there's not another one waiting in the wings that's really serious.
A: Yes

From the article:

This doesn't sound like what we've been reading about from Italy, at least not what's been shared in this thread. Off the top of my head the statistics I can remember are that 99% of the moralities in Italy have at least 1 serious illness, almost 50% have 3 serious illnesses, the average age of death is 80.3 years old and only 2 people under 40 have died, one with cancer and one with diabetes. That's what I remember reading in the past few days.

So far that's pretty much what all the Italian doctor accounts I've read or heard have been saying (a bunch were posted way back on this thread, so they were probably easy to miss): worse than flu, more people than usual with severe respiratory symptoms including young people, more people requiring to go to the ICU, etc. What it says about young people on ventilators doesn't necessarily contradict the fact that practically only old people have died, though. The young people who need ventilators probably just pull through without dying, despite having to go to the ICU. Basically, it appears that the virus can cause some pretty intense symptoms in some (at least, that appears to be the case in Italy at the moment), but that the elderly with preexisting conditions are actually dying. Here's the latest infographic from the Italians showing that only 42 people between age 30 and 49 have died so far. And only 0.8% of the recorded deaths have no pre-existing condition. What these articles don't give a good picture of, however, is how much worse the situation is than normal. People don't need to be dropping like flies in order to overwhelm the ICUs, funeral homes, and crematoria.

Who called it a "boogeyman virus"? Why are you saying that the images are unsettling? Have you never been in a hospital?
There is so much context missing from this video report that I don't know where to start. The fact that you appear to have been influenced by the video alone suggests you haven't been following this thread and the information in it.

Edit: Link to the post in question, if it matters

Yes, I've been to hospitals, and this amount of intubation is beyond any kind of norm. You ask for missing context but immediately assume that my question is based on "this video alone", using that to characterize/suggest that this is yet another point to dismiss. I have been following this thread, obviously, and seeing a lot of confirmation bias as well as an self-strengthening echo chamber, requiring increasing amounts of assumptions of distributed conspiracy to explain. The quality of that reply - and I mean your own - demonstrates a disturbing lack of intellectual hygiene, which seems to be running rampant in this thread. As if retaining an open attitude that this might actually be real is a threat to whatever conclusions are being sought.

Apparently some UK shops are hiring door staff for 'security and crowd managment' - this job ad is circulating UK FB:

On that note, I went to the bank yesterday, and it turns out that for the sake of avoiding concentrations of people, only half of the staff was working, and only 10 people were allowed in at a time. As a result, there was a crowd of people queuing outside.

Thanks everyone for all the great info and for keeping that lighthouse shining, what an amazing community!!!!!!

Just a quick update on what's going on down here in Australia.

So far we have not been locked down, although the international and some domestic borders are closed, the social distancing thing is happening and large groups of above 100 are banned. There are people buying more than they need, as in the rest of the world, but supplies don't seem t be to compromised for the time being. There is a little bit of a movement here to try and help support small/local business which is is really nice to see! And some of my musician friends, who are without work are trying to get people to buy their merch and songs online, which seems to be helping them get through these times!

I just got back from the shops and managed to get the Preshus (toilet paper) one pack per customer hahahaha
My local butcher still has plenty of stock (the supermarkets are pretty barren of meat atm) and as I usually go to the farmers market which is now closed, I managed to contact some of the suppliers and get them to deliver! which was both a relief to me and I think to them!

We wanted to do something last night, so I had to think out the box a little, so we went to the drive in movies (there is only one left here where I live) as it observes all the social distancing rubbish, it was totally packed, good to see everyone getting out where they can and supporting the local business!!

I work at a university and we have been told that, more than likely, the uni will be closed to students after easter, and we will go to an online mode, so staff will still be required to come to work. Things may change, but we shall see.

As others have mentioned, it's very interesting to see those who have in the past been quite open minded and questioning of the government, now go into panic mode, quite scary, but on a positive note, I have been doing my best to dispel a lot of the myths around this hoax and remain upbeat and calm, which does seem to have a calming effect on people around me.

I am very much looking forward to the new c's session, thank you so much Laura and crew for your tireless work and to everyone here sharing their insights and updates, it certainly helps keep me sane!!!

Stay strong everyone! we got this!!

My friend shared a video from SGT Report where they discussed a document from 2010 prepared by The Rockefeller Foundation & Global Business Network, part of which includes a projection into the future. Similarities are striking so I thought it's worth sharing here.
Wow! Wow! We knew their ultimate aim is to take over but now we have documented evidence. Thanks anka this is a good one for my files.

:ohboy: :headbash:

My dad remarked that the corona thing reminds him of Tschernobyl - good point, as this too was largely a media-scare where everyone (at least in Germany) was panicking (put off your shoes, don't play in the sand, don't eat mushrooms etc.) - maybe some kind of early priming?

Well the main message is that draconian measures were taken without reliable data. There's the cruise ship which was a small sample size and it didn't paint a picture requiring things to get Orwelian and it didn't have hospital beds much less intubation. It was basically an incubator for the virus and only a three times the flu death rate (age adjusted). Small sample size though means more reliable data needed. There's now Wuhan since it's over there which indicates a much lower than flu death rate. Really no other entire population data to use for anybody's confirmation bias.

We went to the park, but they blocked all the playground equipment with caution tape. So I had the kids play in the grass field. Then a police officer pulled up and I thought he was going to kick us out, but he just dropped off something in the park office and left. There were a few people playing basketball and tennis at the courts which had not been blocked.

At Costco, there were less people than the regular crowd. Plenty of meat and other food. I was surprised to pull right up to the gas pump when I normally would wait in a line.

At some point I wouldn't put it past them either to actually kill people in some way to make their crisis story more believable and stick better in the population.
Economically, people are in the process of getting killed by the shutdowns. People losing jobs, businesses failing, no income, no way to pay bills.

Many credit card companies and other financial institutions are offering financial assistance to customers who ask for it. They are doing things such as waiving the next minimum payment and waiving interest. Won't hurt to ask. Can simply say may I get financial assistance because I've been impacted by COVID-19?

The fear ramping up is what’s going viral.
Up until today the stores here in north eastern Florida were fully stocked and no one appeared to be panic buying anything. I went earlier today to find the toilet paper, napkins and paper towels all wiped out, nothing left.
We looked around purposely to see what else was a hot item and couldn’t believe what we were seeing.
Every single frozen fish item was gone as were most of the frozen fries and every frozen kind of pizza.
Pretty much everyone here has access to lakes, rivers etc, most of us having fishing holes right in our backyard not even to mention easy access to the ocean. Yet the frozen fish was totally gone.
The other hot item was the burger, there wasn’t a scrap left and the bread to, has disappeared.
It didn’t take long for panic buying to hit here as well.
I watched a video earlier about a guy that lives on a farm in North Carolina and though wasn’t worried about being fairly self sufficient he is worried about some new installation, being erected rather quickly near to his farm.

It starts at about 22.24

I just heard this confirmed in a livestream from Belgrade. 70000 troops and tanks landed in Hamburg.

Sending light and prayers for peace of mind to that region!

Be smart and safe all

Take that with a grain of salt. “Kurir” is tabloid, known for exaggerating. If they said 70.000, that means no more than 35.000.

Seems that the SHAEF insignia which US soldiers are wearing is from 2019. And commemoration given to D. D. Eisenhower.

I think you've been triggered, United Gnosis. But your response made me think.

That rather ridiculous comment on Joe's disturbing lack of intellectual hygiene could not be any further from reality (you derived that conclusion from one post which allegedly 'demonstrates' that? I know him from interaction in person, here and on Facebook and probably have not been paying attention for the whole time that I am being under such a detrimental influence ... I am doomed! :wow:)

What bothers me is that you have also boldly stated that communication in this thread exhibits very disturbing properties. In fact the very things which the forum members engaged in Work are trying and learning to eliminate from their lives. Ha! I mean, hey man! You are perhaps the only person seeing this so because you've been part of this network for nearly 8 years and I presume that you consider it your (spiritual or intellectual or extended) family as I do, it is your turn to bring attention of the network to this critical situation, to this mental virus that infected this discussion (or potentially the entire forum). Would you care to open up a thread where you analyse the whole thing? Your and my family is in danger and you know that! Don't wait please. I mean it. It is terrible to think that this group might have been wrong all the way.

P.S. Message to admins: please, just in case, put Joe in quarantine now, he might very likely be patient zero! I am going to buy 33 rolls of toilet paper and lock myself up...

One interesting thing about all this is the almost total breakdown of political lines. Many right-wingers who formerly made so much more sense than the libtards are falling like flies and show their true authoritarian nature. As do many on the left of course. The dividing line seems to be crisscrossing all over the place. Funny how suddenly it's almost irrelevant whether you are a libertarian, conservative, lefty etc. People are showing their true colors left and right, literally.
