More storms in Croatia; after a huge storm on Wednesday, also reported on SOTT, more came today covering 5 regions: Istria, Kvarner, Zagreb area, north of Croatia, went also to east parts all the way to the Serbia.
The storm is still ongoing and today Croatia media report that due to the devastating storm, a special meeting was held by the Government and that this week Croatia was ravaged by a thunderstorm which, in terms of its intensity and scale, was the largest in the territory of Croatia since meteorological measurements have existed - that is since the middle of the 19th century.

Three people die in Serbia as a second deadly storm rips through the Balkans this week

Three people died in Serbia during another deadly storm that ripped through the Balkans this week, local media said on Saturday.

The storm on Friday first swept through Slovenia, moving on to Croatia and then Serbia and Bosnia, with gusts of wind and heavy rain. Authorities reported power distribution issues and extensive damage - including fallen trees - that destroyed cars and rooftops.
On Wednesday, another storm killed six people in the region, four in Croatia, one in Slovenia and another in Bosnia.
Meteorologists said the storms were of such powerful magnitude because they followed a string of extremely hot days. Experts say extreme weather conditions are likely fueled by climate change.

In the northern Serbian city of Novi Sad, a 12-year-old was found dead in the street during the storm but it remains unclear whether he was struck by lightning or was electrocuted, said the official RTS television.
Local media say Novi Sad was hit the hardest, with the storm damaging the roof of the city’s exhibition hall. Some 30 people have sought medical help and many streets remain blocked on Saturday morning.

In the village of Kovacica, in northeastern Serbia, a woman died from smoke inhalation after a fire erupted when lightning hit a tree by her house, the RTS said.
Serbian police said on Saturday that a man died in the northwestern town of Backa Palanka after he tried to remove power cables that fell on his house gate.

In Croatia, the storm wreaked havoc in various parts of the country, as authorities were already scrambling to control the damage left by Wednesday's storm.

“We work night and day, no stopping,” Nermin Brezovcanin, a construction worker in the capital Zagreb, told the official HRT TV.

Several people were injured in a tourist campsite in the northern Istria peninsula packed with visitors from abroad during summer. Croatia’s Adriatic Sea coastline and islands attract millions of tourists each summer.

Slovenia says storms have also hugely damaged forests in the Alpine nation and warned of potential flash floods.

Elsewhere in Europe, a continuing heat wave caused wildfires and public health warnings.

thank you. this is impressive. i remember having read in the cass transcripts that such extreme weather was caused by the fights between et combats. it would be of interest to learn how such fights cause such weather phenomena.
I would like to know that as well.
At many parts of the planet, it seems that the fights getting stronger.

Yesterday, there was a very strong thunderstorm in my city (Guadalajara, Jal. Mexico) I have not seen or found in the such amazing images as above and others places, it last for about two hours.

This is a snap shot from a live cam. The clouds look like shell structure ones. But the shot does not give to see the height.

I got out to watch the storm, I want to see if the couple of trees on the street would withstand the whipping wind. They didn't fall. Several others did.
Like this one.
A tree downed by last night's #storm obstructs southbound traffic on Avenida Federalismo, at the height of José María Vigil.

Add, I went out to watch the storm on a comfortable and safe rooftop. 😊

One dead after 'likely tornado' hits Switzerland

La Chaux-de-Fonds (Switzerland) (AFP) – One person was killed and around 15 others injured in northwestern Switzerland on Monday after a "likely tornado" struck a city in the Jura mountains, causing significant damage.

The storm passed through quickly but the strong winds caused significant damage.

Vehicles were damaged or destroyed, roofs were torn off, street furniture was blown away and trees were uprooted.

"A likely tornado associated with a rapidly developing storm along the Jura" hit La Chaux-de-Fonds in the late morning, according to the Swiss national weather service.

"A gust of 217 kilometres (135 miles) per hour was recorded by our station at La Chaux-de-Fonds aerodrome this Monday morning, under a storm cell which suddenly strengthened when arriving in the region," MeteoSwiss said on Twitter.
