A strong earthquake measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale in the Adriatic Sea: "It shook a lot, it rocked the house, about 25 seconds."

A strong earthquake shook the Adriatic Sea on Saturday. The epicenter was 66km from the Italian city of Vieste.

A magnitude 5.4 earthquake shook the Adriatic Sea, 119 kilometers south of Split. The epicenter was 66km from the Italian city of Vieste.

The quake was felt mainly in Italy, but also on the Croatian islands and in Split, Trogir. "It was shaking a lot, it was rocking the house, for about 25 seconds," people from Komiža report.

The EMSC states that no tsunami is expected.

NEW YORK, March 28 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.8 jolted northern Mid-Atlantic Ridge at 23:01:46 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 43.6446 degrees north latitude and 28.7817 degrees west longitude.
