Éiriú-Eolas - Breathing Program

Today I did a full EE, which I haven't done for quite a few weeks, the last one I did was very 'serene' was the word that came to mind. Today's was a bit difficult to get going and stay with it, as I was feeling a bit depressed because of the constant rainy weather, which is affecting my property and causing sleepless nights.

Once I was into the Beatha stage I started to get cold, and also missing a few breaths with my mind wandering, but when I was into the POTS I slowly started to warm up and by the end of it I was so warm I fell asleep, it was around 4pm when I started EE and 6.15pm when I woke up, I felt very relaxed.

To those who are having intense tingling sensations, feeling a numbness etc., let me ask, are you breathing gently as Laura says on the CD. Or, during beatha are you breathing very hard? From my own experiences, breathing hard, especially when doing the faster beatha, made me tingle more. Then, I realized while listening to Laura that she says to breath gently in and out.

Just something to think about and if you are breathing hard, start doing it in a more gentle manner, stop forcing it. It helped me, maybe it will help you, too.

Eiriu Eolas is supposed to be gentle.

Thanks Nienna. I did EE while breathing more gently, and did not have the intense tingling effects on my hands. It made a real diffreence, and I was breathing too hard!

That's a good idea about widening the mouth. Will experiment and settle on what is comfortable. Thanks!

Fwiw adding to that, exhalation should only be longer than inhalation. So it would be fine doing it that way. But as PS wrote experiment a bit and what makes you feel comfortable.

On my experiences with EE I remember a dream after POTS of a golden aura coming up my body and this was after my first session. A few months in now and I've also heard the "holy echos" and body sensations in the form of head "rushes." Also the peace of mind and emotions afterwards is incredible, it's like a sense of unity for a time if that makes sense. It's difficult to put it all into words.

It does make sense and thanks for sharing.

I ordered the DVD. My gesture of commitment and not taking only without giving. I hope it will be enough in lieu of a live instructor.

If you have any question feel free to ask and/or use the search function for this topic too.

That's really good to see, SovereignDove. Since I did the same thing myself, I just passed along what I found worked for me.

I noticed that whenever I was in stress, pipe-breathing didn't seem to have any effect. Then I decided to try again, but this time in a very slow manner, feeling how the air enters my nostrils, following the flow of air right up to the belly expanding. Then exhaling through the mouth, I paid a lot of attention to everything that was happening in the body. As I repeated it and kept following all of the sensations, I could feel lots of effects. Sometimes I felt really strange and outright nasty... sometimes it can be so relaxing. I think earlier on I was just forcing the pipe breathing like mentioned above, because I was expecting an instant gratification effect, which ended up negating the effect that it was supposed to have. There needs to be a little bit of surrender of the body I think. Loosening of tight muscles in the shoulders, back and belly seems to help.

Hi everyone,

I can't get the free version of the program to load. I have refreshed my flash player and rebooted but nothing is happening.

Any help much appreciated.

Maybe you could try a different browser? What browser are you using?

Thanks. I will try that again. I tried Chrome and Safari but I'll try Firefox too and clear everything out again.

Sorry for such a basic info request.

I watched the disc 1 of the DVD twice, and I could not find the part explaining how to do bio-energetic breathing. Did I miss it? I was thinking perhaps it is in disc 2?

Listen to the third track of the CD (second disk). The bioenergetic breathing (beatha) is explained and then the counting follows.
Hope it helps.

Also, on the first disc's main menu, there should be a sub-heater at the end that says Practice. That's where the demonstration for all exercises (including bio-energetic breathing) is.

Thank you for the help.

I just did the entire Éiriú-Eolas program disc 2 for the first time.

Couple things I observed. First is my inner thighs were aching and sore most of the time when sitting cross legged; I guess I don't do it much and it put a bit of strain on my body. Bio-energetic breathing was easy enough to learn, and it some point, my arms and hands started tingling a lot. I also felt like my mouth was thirsty, and had to pause the disc and go use the restroom. For the meditation portion, I did lay down. While listening to the meditation music, I realized I had the dishwasher going since before I started the program. At some point in the prayer, I lost all memory from that point on until the end of the disc. I just remember suddenly being aware, and hearing nothing, no dishwasher and no meditation music or prayer. I opened my eyes and sat up and checked the cd player, and it showed it had completed playing. So I guess I either went into a zone or fell asleep.

I also just remembered, when disc 2 first started, Laura's voice sounded strange to me, like a mechanical voice or robot voice or computer voice. I didn't like it.

During the bio-energetic breathing, there were some instants of fear, of some evil person or thing watching me, I can feel that same fear a bit now as I type. This is the reason I asked for a recommendation for a hypnotherapist in my first posts in this forum.

You may wish to find a sitting position that is comfortable for you, or you may wish to lie down for the full programme (excepting Warrior's Breath (or even sit doing that too). Some people experience this tingling sensation, it is normal. Beatha often makes people feel thirsty, and it is recommended taking a drink before commencing Beatha.

This may help, or not.

I apologize if this is a basic question. I searched this thread.

I was wondering whether doing the Éiriú-Eolas twice a week is a form of ritual? I'm probably too tired at the moment to think clearly. I was just wondering what the difference is between repetition and practice, and ritual. I suppose I wouldn't consider brushing my teeth everyday to be ritual, because I think brushing prevents cavities. I've seen the Éiriú-Eolas discs that explain the science behind the ha breathing, so I suppose my doing it wouldn't be ritual then?

A ritual is just a performance show, symbolic and flashy to get you worked up in an illusion. A routine like EE is functional, practical and is done for a purpose. It's a scientifically proven practice with healing benefits. Doing Ba-ha twice a week will show gradual results over time as you practice and get better. The terms are easy to get confused though I admit. :-[
