Okay thanks!! another question, what time of the day is better for the meditation? i do sometimes the beatha part during the day and the meditation part at night before sleep! but sometimes i do the meditation part without listening to Laura, i do it with the instructions and praying the prayer of the soul in my mind!
The answer to your question is whatever time suits you best. :)

In general, reciting, or listening to PotS last thing at night before sleep sets your mind up for activity whilst you sleep. Also, from a body perspective, the afternoon is better for physical activity - ideal muscle co-ordination (2.30), fastest reaction (3.30),and greatest cardiovascular efficiency (5.00). This would then suggest that meditation in either the morning or evening may be optimal. Experiment and see what works best for you, personally.

I agree with PS, whatever time suits you best for the meditation.

I don’t recall having read anything as specific as that before, where do those timings come from?

[/quote]These particular ones come from Dr Jack Kruse's blog (I think), and I've seen something similar on Mark's Daily Apple blog too.

I also agree.

I like to do Pipe Breathing and PotS in the morning, because when we say "Live in me today" I think about the consciousness "being with us" and manifesting through us during the day, so that we will be more aware and therefore act in a way more consistent with our selves and The Work... etc...

But when I do the whole program I do it all together in the evening because I often fall asleep as well as you do... :)

... The Paleo Solution was that it is better to exercise in the morning before breakfast, and it wouldn't be so recommended to do a lot of exercise in the afternoon or, to be more specific, around evening, because the exercise increases the cortical activity and it will bring up difficulties in the sleep. Of course, I suppose there is a lot more about this in the forum, but I'm still going through all that... so correct me if I'm wrong. It did made sense to me at least. :D
The Paleo Solution gives this advice to burn off excess fat (weight) that people are carrying through doing a carbohydrate based diet (gluten-based, not ketogenic). Many sports programmes give this advice too as a means of losing weight. Basically, the evening is for winding down from the day - it all has to do with the circadian cycle, timing of dietary input, and chemical activity within the body.

Ok! thank you Prodigal Son!

It makes sense to me to exercise in the morning as it usually gives me a lot of energy to start the day.
And also... Robb Wolf explains it as how it might possibly have been in a Paleo environment, where you woke up and started to work, hunt, etc. and probably doing less physic activity when the sun was going down. That made sense to me.. but I also think that maybe it depended a lot on the time of the year, and the place, etc.

Concerning EE...

I'll just update that my EE sessions are getting easier now! I am doing shallower breaths and progressively deepening the breathing as I feel I can. The last few times I didn't fall asleep! :D

I have been practicing EE(and will continue to do so), and have a question about the bioenergetic/round breathing. Towards the end of it, my hands feel as if they are having muscle spasms, and I cannot then move the fingers at all for several minutes. This is on the edge of being painful, but does subside after doing the pipe breathing.

From the FAQ on the Eiriu Eolas site:
Tickling or numbness in arms, legs, lips (common side-effects of hyper-ventilation)

Could it be a side-effect from hyper-ventilation? Or could it be I have done the breathing improperly?

Any input would be appreciated.

Many have experienced this during/right after the Beatha part. Yes, it could be a side-effect from mild hyperventilation. I don't have it as much anymore after having practiced the program for some time now. But I sure do remember the kind of numbness it can cause! I don't think it's anything to worry about, that is, if it doesn't make you feel too uncomfortable. :) Hope this helps.

Yes this does help, thank you. I will continue to practice, and perhaps it will subside, like it did for you. I won't worry about it now.
