It's beginning, Twitter employees are being laid off in droves across the world today. About 50% of the staff is being let go while Elon Musk accuses activist groups that are pressuring advertisers for a drop in revenue following the takeover of the company.

Having a somewhat autistic and slightly anti-social billionaire who has gone off-script at the helm of twitter is certainly entertaining. Dude rants about how he hates smalltalk after he just fired half of the staff 🤣 Also can't resist the urge to troll the world with nerdy one liners. Now he's getting dangerously close to going full MAGA after the activist mob lynched him even though he tried appeasement. Total wild card LOL

New owner, cleanup in process: Elon Musk, the new boss at Twitter, decided to close the social network's office in Mexico.

Some of Twitter Mexico's employees were notified overnight Thursday, while others received the notice this Friday.

While these layoffs are occurring, Musk 'came back on the attack' this Friday against what he calls an 'attack on free speech' on the social network.

"Twitter has had a massive drop in revenue due to activist groups putting pressure on advertisers, yet nothing has changed with content moderation and we did everything we could to appease the activists. That's terribly wrong," he said.
