My son and I were at “our” beach last night and this showed up, going at a fast, even pace from west to east, in the southern sky.
He managed to get this one grainy shot of it, with his iPhone.
It appeared to our eyes as a solid illuminated narrow band, exactly as the picture.
I noted the time, 6:49, pm, pacific, and then it was gone as it followed the atmosphere curvature.
As you can see in the photo, the sky darkens towards the left of the frame, indicating that the “illumination” we could see, wasn’t internally generated, but that it was reflecting the sunlight from a high altitude orbit.
My son was quite adamant that this was “definitely an unidentifiable craft”, a UFO, or UAP, or whatever “abc’s” being used now.
I waited till this morning to do a bit of “researching”, and apparently it WAS a clump of Star link satellites in high orbit.
