Yes the new forum board will appear under the name of "Fellowship of The Cosmic Mind" on this forum.

Will the new forum "Fellowship of The Cosmic Mind" be a new category on the forum such as Cassiopaean Sandbox, Esoterica, The Unexplained, etc.?

I sent in my application about 2 weeks ago and I have not been granted access. My handwriting is not the neatest so I must have written illegibly. I apologize for that. I have a typed version of the application, should I send that in now to replace the previous application?

Yes it would be like that.

I think you can still wait a couple of days. So far, the threads have not been moved.

Please remember that the application has to travel through the mail to Colorado and then travel again, through the mail, to France. It will, on average, take longer than two weeks. If one sends it domestically within the US, give it at least three weeks, perhaps a month before deciding to resend or deciding that something is wrong. If a person sends it from outside of the US, add another week to that just to be safe.

There is also the electronic option as brought up earlier in the thread if one feels it necessary.

So it would be fair enough to donate a smaller amount of money to cover the postal costs?
I like to go for it.

Application Processing

I just want to update all of you on the application process. I have a STACK of applications on my desk that I am going through and processing. Everyone will soon be getting their certificate of membership, ID card and a letter explaining some of the things we will be doing.

I did not expect such a deluge, so it is taking a little while... I've got help, but it is still a lot of work for three or four people! Rest assured that nothing interesting is going to happen that any of you will be left out of!

Yes it would be fair and don't forget that not only the application goes from your home to Colorado and to France but you would receive your certificate of membership, ID card and a letter from France to your home.

No worries, Laura. Mine will be winging its way soonest, I'm trying to be as thorough as I can to make it easy. :D

And is their a sum in total how much these costs are? That people you can effort it, could donate it?

That would be great. We've calculated that 5 euros will roughly cover our costs, and if anybody can give more, that will cover for others who can't contribute.

Thanks!

Re: Access to the New Forum

I just had a quick question, and I've already sent in my application both electronically and the originals by snail mail: can you please verify if my application was received electronically? Thank you.

I’m going to send this application soon but I think I found one little problem. I don’t know how it is in the USA or in France but in Poland it is illegal to give out somebody else’s personal data without this person’s knowledge or permission (according to “Ustawa z dnia 29 sierpnia 1997 r. o ochronie danych osobowych.” rozdział 3/art. 23, http://isip.sejm.gov.pl/servlet/Search?todo=open&id=WDU19971330883) and, unfortunately, the member of my family who I live with is definitely not interested in sharing this kind of information with any church or religion that isn’t Roman Catholic. I’ think I clearly understand this act (or am I wrong, I’m exaggerating the problem and there are some Poles who see it differently, or maybe it is not Polish but American law important in this situation?) so what if I’ll send this application without this particular data, would it be rejected then?

We will. Laura wrote this on Nov 10th for those who haven't heard from her yet:

The new forum has been created. I have given membership permissions to the people whose emails or forum names I can read or figure out. If you have sent in your app and you don't see the new board, you can figure that:

1) I have the app in hand and your email is different from your forum email.
2) I have the app in hand and can't read your email addy.
3) Your app has not yet reached me, but will soon, and I will add your permissions (so if you know it is the same and legible, just wait a few days)

In any case, don't panic until Friday if you think I should have the app. If you think it will take some time to get to me, don't panic until NEXT Friday!

Better yet, don't panic at all. We aren't doing anything in the new forum yet until we get things set up.

Also, you don't need to panic that you have not yet received your membership certificate. That's another thing that I'm doing pretty much by hand and it takes time to do them all.

Naturally, we have a lot of business to discuss with initial members, but hang on... Rome wasn't built in a day and we are pushing things forward every day!

Patience, patience ;)

See what Ailén wrote above. I won't be acknowledging each application. The workload is already a mile high. As I process each one, I'll get you into the new forum and you'll get your certificate by snail mail. If, after a couple of weeks, neither of these events occurs, send me a PM.

Application form can be found on the paloechristianity website http://paleochristianity.org and a direct link is http://paleochristianity.org/documents/FOTCM_Membership_Application.pdf

Report back if you have any issues with the form.
Adobe Reader is probably the best app to open it with. The Preview app in MacOS does a few strange things with it as far as alignment of certain fields.
Hopefully an updated version will be posted soon where you can save the typed content of the file to disk.
