Freedom Trucker Convoy: From Canada to USA to all across the world

Giant comet or ice age may say different just to name a few possible black swans. People may also rise up... finally. It's possible. Sometimes it's good to broaden 'confidence intervals' when things are chaotic.

Sure, but since by their very nature it's impossible to plan for black swans or predict when they'll occur, they're not terribly useful when projecting probable political developments.

That said a cometary ice age is more likely than Canadians rising up any time soon.

For conservative parliamentarians ....... TRUDEAU HAS MAJOR CONFLICT OF INTEREST …. Dr. Robert Malone (Inventor of mRNA technology) says that Justin Trudeau's foundation might hold as much as 40% ownership of a pharmaceutical company called “Acuitas Therapeutics”, (6190 Agronomy road, Vancouver, B.C. V6T-1Z3), who is making essential components for the Covid injections. …

(see 2 minute video of Malone accusing Trudeau) … DR ROBERT MALONE #TrudeauForTreason #COVID19

Acuitas Therapeutics, is the manufacturer of the lipid nanoparticles used by Pfizer in their COVID-19 MRNA injections, and every time an experimental dangerous Covid injection is purchased anywhere around the world, it is money going straight into Justin Trudeau's pocket.

No wonder Justin Castreau doesn't want to let go of Covid mandates and illegal discriminatory passports, as his little financial racket profitable. This is the real reason why Trudeau desperately wants to stop the truckers.

This goes back to February wherein Malone did say there is "speculation" of a 40% stake, however no proofs offered. Looking at this just now, the so called fact checkers were out in full forces just after this video was made denouncing the Trudeau foundation tie.

Looking at it further, UBC made a spin off company Acuitas Therapeutics (lipid nanoparticle technology) under Dr. Pieter Cullis, who just happened to have been given the Order of Canada in December 2021 as vaccines were rolled out. Part of this is tied into the umbrella of UBC's Precision NanoSystems (PNI).

The Canadian government cites their procurement vaccine list (including freezers, dry ice et cetera) here. Covid vaccine procurement contracts run into the year 2024.

Whatever the case, each vaccine does procured takes in technology adjuncts from companies such as the above, and the kickbacks in dollars is likely significant.

Cui bono?

'Freedom Convoy' leader Pat King charged with perjury, obstruction of justice

Apr. 19, 2022

Ottawa convoy protest organizer Pat King is now facing perjury and obstruction of justice charges related to testimony he gave at his bail review hearing last week.

King was arrested on Feb. 18 on charges related to his involvement in the three-week protest against COVID-19 restrictions that overran the streets of Ottawa.

He was denied bail on Feb. 25, but on Wednesday last week King appeared in court for a bail review so his lawyers could argue for his release while he awaits his trial.

The next day, the Crown announced it would lay perjury and obstruction of justice charges against him.

The three counts of perjury and three counts of obstruction of justice, as well as the reasons for the charges, were read aloud to King in court Tuesday.

The details of the testimony that led to the allegations are protected by a publication ban.

These latest accusations are in addition to 10 charges related to King's involvement in the downtown Ottawa protest earlier this year.

The previous charges include mischief, intimidation, obstructing police and disobeying a court order.

King's hearing came to an abrupt halt last Wednesday when it appeared his lawyer's computer was hacked in the middle of the proceedings. Lawyer David Goodman later said the threat wasn't as serious as previously thought, and no files were compromised.

The hearing was adjourned the next day to give King's legal team time to process the new charges, leaving King visibly disappointed with his head in his hands.

Since then, he's tapped a new lawyer to fight for his release and defend him against the mounting number of charges.

Ottawa lawyer Natasha Calvinho told the court Tuesday she has been retained as King's full counsel, and asked for some time to get up to speed on his case.

King will appear in court next week to reschedule the rest of his bail review hearing.

Interesting the bit on the lawyer switch. Might be this lawyer, then switched over (tapped) to this new lawyer, and odd that the former lawyer got all uppity concerning his computer being hacked, then backed off, and then the switch of lawyers followed.

They certainly have King wound up on his own wiki judge and jury page, with the conspiracy theory slur made at every paragraph (sometimes twice per paragraph to drive home the point). This may also fit with your comment a few pages back that they might well hang him for his white supremacy views, which are not the same as (cough) some of the leading strings eugenics views, although not stated that way anymore, like planned parenthood's name change et cetera, from a different era:

Views and conspiracy theories

King has a history of anti-Muslim, white nationalist, and far-right conspiracy theories.[5][23] He has shared videos online promoting the white genocide conspiracy theory,[24] including saying on social media "There’s an endgame: It’s called depopulation of the Caucasian race."[22]

In 2020, King had a conversation with the Toronto Star in which he shared conflicting views about violence and "ranted" about left wing ideologies, Antifa, and cancel culture.[33]

King accused the government of Canada of permitting Islamic State terrorists to enter Canada as refugees, of "normalizing pedophilia", and of adopting an immigration policy to “depopulate the white, Anglo-Saxon race.”[5] He has advocated against a carbon tax, arguing that it puts Canadians at an economic disadvantage.[34]

King has said that the only way to end Canadian public health measures against COVID-19 may be achieved "with bullets".[35] King also commented that Justin Trudeau was going to catch a bullet.[35]

In 2021, he claimed that The Holocaust death toll of 6 million was overstated.[36]

He probably should have been cautious around using word, such as catching bullets and depopulating just the white race (some might argue it is multicultural depopulation). So, none of this would go over well in woke-Ville, Ontario, nor with the anti-racist crowd that King refers to as Antifa (some say the anti-racist-racists).

King was part of a right-wing counter protest to an anti-racist demonstration in Red Deer in 2020 where he was noted for saying: "That’s patriots kicking antifa out of their towns!"

In September 2020, he organized a second counter-protest in Ponoka and threatened violence against anti-racist protests who he characterized as Antifa.[13][14]

Thus, insulting Antifa is certainly not wise, it might even get you a label with your very own, again, wiki page.

There are 10 charges against King (some new, like perjury that comes with a publication ban):

Counts:
1&2. two counts of obstructing police 3&4. two counts of intimidation 5. one count of counselling intimidation 6. one count of disobeying a court order 7. counselling to commit mischief 8. mischief 9. counselling to disobey a court order 10. counselling to obstruct police

They certainly know how to hand counts out in order to make something stick.

Now in a parallels universe with a different justice system, wonder what charges would stick to some leaders (all fictitious of course): Conspiracy? Fraud? Bioweapons use (some convention somewhere says you just can't do that)? Bank fraud? Tax fraud? Theft greater than $5,000 (how would this be calculated - multiple counts)? Political collusion? Violating the enemies act? Treason? Abuse? Racisms? Harassment? "Intimidation"? "Counseling intimidation"? Police obstruction? Bribes? Why not throw in anti-Semitism (might stick somewhere), and arming, training and funding proxy extremists/terrorists?

It could really be a big list, however in this universe it is all done above board because of Canadians support, apparently, and that the leaders always speak for all Canadians, they say, and they must keep Canadians safe.

The case would obviously be dismissed in this reality, however in a parallel?

I digress.

Recently from the Justice Centre:

Nowhere across the provinces were Charter rights and freedoms respected by governments, but some Canadians had it worse than others. Here are the provinces, ranked on their infringements on freedom, from worst to “least worst”:

  • Quebec
  • British Columbia
  • Manitoba
  • Ontario
  • Atlantic “Bubble” Maritime Provinces
  • Alberta
  • Saskatchewan
With its totalitarian-style nightly curfews, inter-provincial travel restrictions, restrictions on travel within the province, threats of a tax on the unvaccinated, disregard for religious freedom, an imposition of vaccine passports for places of worship, and the continuation of mandatory mask-wearing, Quebec earns the top spot as the worst offender of the Charter.

The Justice Centre forgot to add that despite the province, some Canadians are still prisoners in their own country.

The Commission has a broad mandate, central to which is the task of examining and reporting on the circumstances that led to the declaration of a public order emergency and the measures taken for dealing with the declared emergency from February 14 to 23, 2022.

The Commission welcomes contributions from all members of the public on their experiences, views, observations, and ideas in order to carry out its mandate and fully appreciate how these matters affected Canadians. This is an important part of the Commission’s investigation, and you are encouraged to make a written submission by following the guidelines below.

I've mostly always been leery of internal government commissions, and have read their terms of reference here. The possibility that the findings could be used to enhance the governments position is always a risk, and how transparent would it be.

I guess, it is useful to see who sits on the commission (no indication of who picket them) - see here.

The mandate states:

The Commission will examine and assess the basis for the Government’s decision to declare a public order emergency, the circumstances that led to the declaration, and the appropriateness and effectiveness of the measures selected by the Government to deal with the then-existing situation.
The Commission will also conduct a policy review of the legislative and regulatory framework involved, including whether any amendments to the Emergencies Act may be necessary.

The "then-existing situation" is interesting, what does that look like from their side?

Here one can Read the Order in Council.

This is the documents page.

Brian Peckford's ideas on this commission. This think tank, Frontier Centre for Public Policy, located in Winnipeg, has had good articles over the last few months. I fell across it when we were discussing on another thread back in the spring. Title says it all: 'It's outrageous - government investigating itself'.

I will not be commenting on the commission's website. The feel I get is it's info gathering really and they will focus on and aggrandize the views they want, i.e., the gov't had to do what it did. Sounds cynical, but it just smells.

So this requirement which many think checks the power of the Government in the execution of the Act is just the opposite—it puts the Government in control of the whole inquiry process.

Who is the Governor in Council ——?? The Cabinet —The Government of Justin Trudeau in this case .

Also this:

Meanwhile the Commissioner, who one would think would have to be politically independent, no conflicts or perceived conflicts (justice must not only be done, but to be perceived as being done) has as part of his biography that: ‘He was a partner with the law firms Heenan Blaikie from 2000 to 2002.‘

This is the law firm with which Pierre Elliot Trudeau, the present PM’s father, was involved on his retirement from active politics.

Peckford: Canada’s Emergencies Act Inquiry (Commission)—It’s Outrageous—Government Investigating Itself?

Peckford finishes with saying everyone should review the website, he doesn't suggest commenting to the Commission.

I'll add this link from Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms on the progress of Mr. Peckfords challenge to the government on the vaccine mandates. Hearings this fall. This article from March 2022.

https://www.jccf.ca/court-facing-compelling-testimony-from-charter-signatory-brian-peckford-as-action-proceeds-to-strike-down-

vaccine-travel-ban/

Interesting the evidence they are presenting:
“Our experts confirm that both the vaccinated and unvaccinated spread Covid. This means the government’s rationale for the ban on air travel is fatally flawed and there is no justification for the serious infringement on Canadians’ Charter rights,” notes Mr. Wilson.

Sept. 19th is scheduled for hearing the matter. I am getting my travel to see my brother in after the last years before they find another reason to impose vaccine mandates on travel.

“If the judge is going ahead and saying that it was illegal and unconstitutional (to impose mandates), that will have a huge impact because it will be a legal precedent that will apply for every Canadian,” said Bernier.
Report here from June 2022 in True North.

The court hearing for Bernier and Peckford’s constitutional challenge against federal vaccine mandates is scheduled for Sept. 19, with a decision expected to be made around Dec. 2022.

Yup. As said, that is the problem with commissions - 9/11 a classic.

Brian knows.

The questions (with their crafted terms of reference) can be seen as a public opinion vacuum cleaner, and the report might well massage the findings into a nice little narrative package for public consumption. See look, Tyranny, well no, our report says that we could always learn and do things better under these difficult pandemic situations, and Canadians have spoken. Case/commission closed.

Rebel News report about the inquiry into the use of the War measures Act. Media scrum with Freedom Convoy lawyer Keith Wilson.

This is another Laura Lynn Tyler Thompson interview - with Martin Armstrong (Socrates software). The actual interview starts two minutes in. One thing that caught my ear was at 36:31 minutes he talked about Trudy socks intending to cancel currency in Canada next January - the legislation has apparently been passed to enable him to do this. Start by cancelling $100 and $50 bills. Other interesting tidbits as well.

This post would be more appropriate in this Convoy thread:

Police Destroy Need for Emergencies Act

Emergencies Act Inquiry / By Gord Parks / October 24, 2022

Listen to Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Intelligence Officer Pat Morris and Acting Deputy Chief of Ottawa Police Services Patricia Ferguson destroy any need for the use of the Emergencies Measures Act invoked by the Trudeau govt.

No sabotage, espionage, foreign influence, no serious threats of violence towards any person or property to achieve any political, religious, or ideological objective.

"No credible intelligence," and "the lack of violent crime was shocking", according to OPP Intelligence Officer Pat Morris.

Admission by police that the seizing of assets was "useful but not necessary." (Testimony by Acting Deputy Chief of Ottawa Police Services, Patricia Ferguson).

If this was reported before, please remove. And this is all we have on offer these days.
The respected, intelligent and forthcoming Rex Murphy has said it again - The irreplicable Jack Layton would be hiding his head in shame! Sad days for Canada, indeed!

From the National Post:

Rex Murphy: Singh betrays NDP with pledge to grant Trudeau parliamentary immunity (Opinion)

What will it take to break the hoops of steel that now bind Jagmeet Singh to the fortunes and political health of Justin Trudeau?

What bonding between the two is so adamant that nothing can sunder it?

Hold on.

Before I seek an answer to that dark query, there stands a preliminary point of curiosity.

Mr. Singh and Mr. Trudeau may have sat on a sofa of mutual comfort. But what, speaking of the NDP party itself, its followers, its MPs, explains their easy acceptance of this strange tryst?

Has there been a single member of the once stalwart NDP caucus (by “once stalwart” here I mean the long and distinguished period when the NDP were the eagle-eyed critics of the natural governing party, its fiercest challengers, the uncompromising champions of forgotten workers, from auto shops to oil workers to farmers) who has publicly questioned and objected to the little explained nuptials between Jagmeet and Justin?

Is there no single NDP MP who finds the puzzling embrace embarrassing? Or will at least offer some comment?

Is there no concern in the NDP caucus that their impeccably styled chief has, by the deal with Mr. Trudeau, effectively and objectively reduced the greatest protest party Canada has ever had to a mere sidecar, or to vary the metaphor, a political airbag should the Liberals ever face some collision in the House of Commons?

Does Mr. Singh rule the party so stringently that when he denies his own party’s character by effectively merging it with the Liberals to making it a tail on a Mr. Trudeau’s minority kite, that no one in that caucus objects? The silence of the NDP caucus on this arrangement is a grim and possible embarrassing puzzle.

What holds them back? It cannot be that they see this cynical abandonment of the NDP’s great parliamentary role as in any way accordant with the legacy of its heroes, be it Mr. Layton or the iconic Tommy Douglas. Would either Layton or Douglas have so bent and genuflected? Anyone at all with the slightest memory of political tradition in Canada knows the answer to this question.

And the answer is not kind to the NDP in its current incarnation and certainly not its current leadership.

Now, after this relaxed divertissement, let us return to the primary question. Mr. Singh has recently made it known that should the inquiry into the use of Emergencies Act establish that it was not warranted, that no reality on the ground constituted a threat to the Canadian nation, he would still stay in yoke and harmony with Mr. Trudeau. What then would it take to break the alliance?

Allow me to expand. Even if the inquiry establishes that the Emergencies Act was called without warrant, that it was not justified, that it was brutal state overreach, a breach of civil liberties, an annulment of the Charter, an assault on legitimate protest, the whole NDP party would stand by the Liberals.

What if, and this is the extreme case, that possibly — I stress the “possibly” here — it was invoked, not on national security grounds, but for more partisan or personal reasons, he would stay with the Prime Minister who called it?

Here’s the news report: “NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh says it is unlikely that his party would pull their support for the Liberals if the Public Order Emergency Commission examining the federal government’s invocation of the Emergencies Act concludes that doing so was not justified.”

If the imposition of emergency powers, the raiding of bank accounts, the jailing of protesters, the invasions of privacy rights, if all of this is determined to be nothing more than an overwrought prime minister exercising his distaste for opposition and legitimate protest, should that be the inquiry’s findings, would Mr. Singh stay with his Liberal partner?

The Singh-Trudeau compact is an insult to Parliamentary function. It protects the government from all confidence-vote challenges. It dwindles down to tacit co-operation on committees of inquiry. It mocks the voting result itself. The votes went for a minority, with the protections a minority offers to the Parliament as a whole. That it can restrain executive authority, numb the invisible influence of non-parliament actors in the PMO from running an agenda.

Most significantly, it guts genuine parliamentary oversight, and since parliamentary oversight is — give it some thought — the very purpose and essence of every Parliament, it nullifies the premiere institution of our entire democracy.

Mr. Singh’s deal with Mr. Trudeau’s is probably seen among the fixers and comms specialists and the cute spin masters of the Ottawa smart set as a real cool finesse. “Hey, we certainly fixed their boat.”

Here’s what the Liberal-NDP really is. The neutering of parliamentary rule, a cynical arrangement to bypass the expected provisions of democratic responsibility. A shield against genuine inquiry and investigation. A pact to avoid the deepest elements of democratic oversight.

Mr. Singh gives Mr. Trudeau the ability, unearned by electoral vote, to rule as a majority government. An ability the election he called in a pandemic denied him, one which he does not legitimately own, and one he now holds as a result of a purely political barter. These two have short-circuited the elements of our democracy.

They are both politicians in the deepest negative sense that designation now, so sadly, stands for.

Sunny Days. It is to laugh. There have been better forecasts.
