Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT): General information and discussion of Home Units

This is a pretty challenging project!

After noticing yesterday that I always seem to get too little oxygen when I breathe normally - the air feels dusty and I don't feel like taking deep breaths, I decided to make some changes.
I'm not the type of housewife who likes to vacuum and do so much cleaning, but I decided to get rid of some carpets to make the floor easier to clean. The floor is laminate and I don't like that at all, so that's why they were there.

And I decided that I do need to damp mop the floor every day to reduce the dust as much as possible. A fundamental change in my daily routine!!!! :-D :-D:knitting:

I was a bit sad yesterday, because oxygen sessions are so expensive in our country. But then I had another idea. In my environment there are people trying to build up an alternative medical center and I will simply suggest to them to purchase such a device and offer it at moderate prices. Let's see . . .. Somehow I'll get it done, I know I will!!!

And then there was a little surprise when I went to the bank, I had 500 euros more than I expected and can now invest part of it in even more sessions, which makes me happy!

Just had my first session. One hour at 2 ATM with a noticeable reduction in lower back pain. Also feeling energised and quite hungry too.

Feeling rather special actually, I think I'll start discriminating against the "unchambered" and the "anti-chamberers"!😉

Seriously, I thoroughly recommend it, another session booked for next week.

Thanks for posting this thread, I would never have thought to try it otherwise. Cheers!

does that mask seem alright? am not a mask guy

they say medicinal oxygen blahblabh, have to confirm that

it has 2 check valves but not much space in between

also this clinic has advertised it as 2.4ata hard shell chamber but the gauge had double digits(likely PSI) and the guy operating it let escape that they dont go above the "2" in there which is ~1.3ata lol?

*traveled to another country for this but let's see what else is available...

The production of our new hard-shell chamber is complete. The shipment by boat should occur on the 25th of September. The delivery should take about one month.
What capacity oxygen generator are you getting with the 2.0 ATA hard shell chamber?

I've done some more reading/watching and the more I read the more I am convinced that to trigger the hyperoxic/hypoxic paradox, it requires a greater difference in oxygen concentration than a 5 l/min oxygen concentrator can provide.

I wrote Zoy-Tech and they offer a discounted price for a 10 l/min OG for clients that have bought a chamber with them previously. They also have a 15 l/min version but as far as I can see, the specs for the standard non-rebreather mask that are available in Denmark say 10-12 l/min delivering 69%-98% oxygen. So I think that 15 l/min might be unnecessary. I have written the product manager to inquire what constitutes the difference but my guess is that it's the breath volume and frequency that determines how much pure oxygen you get from the reservoir and how much you get from the air that gets into the mask despite the flaps blocking the valves.

I also spoke to a woman from HBOT USA, the company run by Dr, Jason Sommers who was featured in the interview with Dr. Mercola in the top of this thread. In the units they rent out, they have 10 l/min OGs and use the reservoir masks. They advertise "up to 94% oxygen concentration" so it's hard to say what the real number is.

We experienced a minor problem with the compressor of our chamber. The duration of the inflating the chamber was increasing up to a point where, after 20+ minutes it was not reaching the target pressure 1.5 ATA.

Then we checked if there was a leak in the chamber by pressurizing the chamber, stopping the compressor and seeing if the pressure displayed by the gauge was decreasing. It was not, so the probable culprit was the compressor.

We dismantled the compressor, removed the 2 cylinder heads, inspected, cleaned and oiled each O-ring, tightened 3 hose clamps along the pressure line, cleaned the air filter on the intake line, added some Teflon tape on a connector.

We re-assembled the whole compressor and, miracle, it works better now than when it was brand new. The inflating time was reduced from 9-10 minutes to 7-8 minutes, which suggests that the issue was more than a dirty air filter.

My experiences after 3 1.3 sessions.

What I really like is that my brain gets clearer. Somehow it is a new feeling to get through the day.
It was the main reason I wanted to do that and that seems to work. I don't have any serious health problems - besides that I smoke a little too much . . . and I should reduce it. Since I only smoke cigarillos they are a little bit too much sometimes.
But another problem rises with my appartement. I suddenly realized - as mentioned before - the dust. And it is not done with cleaning it is simply in the air. Nearby there is a carpentry - not always working, but the dust is in the air. Twice I had to use a Nasal douche to get the dust out of my nose. I did not realize it before.

When I was out for a walk I remembered a story by Stanislaw Lem where people - when they did not use their daily pills - woke up and saw the cruel reality in which they were living. I mean, it is not so dramatic of course ;-)but sooner or longer I will have to look for another place to stay where breathing is more easy.

Tomorrow I have my next session. Thank you very much for bringing up this knowledge!!! :hug2:🥰

I just had first session. Feel quite energised actually buzzing with good energy.
Unfortunately they are not available on my island except at main hospital which is not easily accessible. Where I am visiting at the moment they have “hyperbaric spas “ almost on every corner. The one i used has the same chamber like the one you recommended. It took about 5 min to inflate.
Unfortunately i can only fit 3 more treatments before I leave. They said its ok to do it twice a day - but didn’t want to overdo it.
I would consider buying inflatable one but I have no idea how much they cost. Any idea of price range? Would you recommend inflatable one.

my mistake, i confused the gauges and the spanish abbreviation for ATM

everything checks out and air feels so much fresher that my nose burns now walking on the streets xD

Zoy ships their chambers with an oxygen concentrator looking exactly like Longfian sells. More than that Longfian offers an HBOT solution which is basically a first version of Zoy chamber. At the same time Zoy shows a bit different OC design on its website. What a mess!

I wonder if current Zoy 10 lpm oxygen concentrator is the same model as Longfian JAY-10, because the latter can be purchased locally at my place for $700.
