A company manufacturing soap received complaints from retailers because some boxes arrived empty. The company then hired a team to design an AI system that analyzed the images of the automatic process where soaps are put into the boxes and flagged the boxes that didn't receive the soap. During the demonstration of the system an employee told his bosses that he didn't need hundreds of thousands of dollars to solve the problem but a hundred dollars would suffice. The boss gave him a hundred dollars bill to prove his assertion. Half an hour later the employee came back with a fan to blow out the empty boxes...
The story is told as a true story but I don't know if it's true. It sounds like the story about NASA's anti-gravity pen and the merits of simple solutions.
@Pierre some of your jokes are so funny that PTB couldnt leave it alone and deleted all the images so no one could find the greatness of your intellectual jokes. (Chuckle)
