I have had sore tonsils for the last weak. It started after a 3 day break from iodine (lugos 12%, 1 drop a day), and might be just an infection (I was feeling quite bad the days before it started).
The day after they got sore, I started SSKI 1 drop a day and started micro silica + kept on with the lugos 1 drop a day (also doing cilantro/clorella detox and some vitamins/minerals and selenium)
I feel a bit better in general (might be the micro silica or the SSKI or the whole thing may have started to work) but the tonsils keep being sore (I've taken lots of garlic oil, but no change, though it might have been worse had I not)
So I wanted to ask to be sure:
Can sore tonsils be thyroid problems?
(I'm terribly behind on reading, but have the impression that one should be alert if having thyroid problems while taking iodine)
-I am taking melatonin, so Konstantins post made me wonder if I shouldn't (I don't want to stop melatonin unless necessary as it is a great help in sleeping better and general wellbeing)

Apparently I have dental sealants, which according to my dentist look good and so I have nothing to worry about in this respect. From what I can find there's some sealants that can have a component that when mixed with saliva can turn into BPA, but it's not in all sealants and the majority of the compound can be removed with scrubbing after the dental work is completed. Considering the sealants are from years ago, I can't find anything that suggests there would be any BPA leeching at this point. Assuming of course that the type of sealants that I have contained the compound in the first place. There may, however, be other things in the sealants that may pose a health risk, but nothing at this point suggests any immediate cause for alarm. OSIT.
. Could someone please point me to the right direction here ?
