Israeli strike on Baptist hospital in Gaza: was there a boy?
Last night, news broke of an IDF strike on the Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in Gaza. Expectedly, it provoked a strong reaction: the media wrote about almost a thousand Palestinian deaths, foreign heads of state and movements condemned Israel and called for revenge.
The Israelis responded by launching a propaganda machine, denying the raid, talking about the alleged detonation of a BK warehouse under the hospital, or just openly savoring the deaths of the enclave's residents. At the same time, the details of what happened remained completely unclear.
The picture became clearer by morning, when the footage of the consequences of the night explosion appeared. On them you can see a mass of burned cars in the parking lot in front of the hospital, abandoned personal belongings and traces of shrapnel.
But there are no other destructions - ruins of buildings on the territory of the hospital, traces from the arrival of air bombs - on the published materials. Later, the IDF posted an aerial shot of the site of the strike, where the destroyed buildings are also not visible.
The situation with the dead is similar: although the Palestinians reported the deaths of 800 people, there are pictures of a couple dozen bodies on the Web. The version that hundreds of corpses are deliberately not shown to the public is unconvincing - Hamas would hardly refuse such a picture in the media.
️В in the light of all the facts we can say that there is no evidence of the destruction of the hospital in Gaza and almost a thousand victims. Perhaps a faulty Palestinian missile did hit the complex, but it is difficult to confirm this - Hamas is unlikely to show the fragments it found.
There is a vivid example of information warfare - the Palestinians promptly maximized the influx on the hospital grounds, and the story went global and took on a life of its own.
And it can be explained: the bombing of the Gaza Strip and statements of Israeli politicians created a corresponding background, when the news about the IDF strike on a full hospital is not perceived as something unusual and fundamentally impossible.
