I thought this looked yummy and healthy - perhaps substitute honey with xylitol or coconut oil?

Anti-Inflammatory Turmeric Dressing

turmericdressing

Thanks to one of Healthy Holistic Living.com’s readers I have a new favorite salad dressing! this tastes wonderful and it’s medicinal to boot!
Anti-Inflammatory Turmeric Dressing
Ingredients:

1 teaspoon of ground turmeric
1/2 teaspoon fine sea salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon of dried dill weed
2 teaspoons of honey
3 tablespoons of vinegar
1/4 cup extra light/ extra virgin olive oil

Directions:

Put all ingredients, as listed in to a glass jar or shaker bottle with a tight fitting lid. Shake well!! Pour and toss over your favorite salad greens. I make this every night for my family’s dinner salad. It is a favorite in our home.

Note: If you prefer a thicker dressing put all the ingredients in a blender with 1/2 an avocado – blend well. Simple, now you have a creamy anti-inflammatory dressing.

I made another batch of Fat Bombs, this time without using eggs at all since I've found to have reaction to it...

I think it still needs some adjustment, but I think is a good option for those who have problems with eggs too.

I used:

2 tbsp of cocoa powder
500 gr of lard
2 cups of bone broth (without salt or any other thing in it, of course)
stevia to taste
one teaspoon of cinnamon
2 tbsp of organic pure vanilla extract.

The texture is a bit funny because I think that the ingredients didn't emulsify well without the eggs. Yet, it tastes delicious! The stevia taste is quite strong, though, so I might try the next one with xylitol.

Here's a picture: :D
(I just sparkled a bit of cocoa powder and cinnamon on it for the picture ;) )

Just an idea, maybe you could try using straight lecithin as an emulsifier.

Thanks!

I think that xylitol also serves as emulsifier, so I'd rather try that first and avoid using other type of lecithin.

xylitol doesn't emulsify. I think with this product, only eggs or lecithin will work.

You haven't been using egg whites, have you?

No... no egg whites, and I even did my best to remove all of it really carefully. :/

I'll try to get the lecithin then, I'm sure I'll be able to buy it online, because I couldn't find it here so far.

I hope you can find non-GMO lecithin (I have not been able to find any). Also maybe you could wait some days and then try again eat yolks, starting with a few.

I use this non-GMO lecithin. It is probably available at amazon, iherb, vitacost, pureformulas.

Oh! Thanks a lot hlat! I've found it in Vitacost so I'll buy it with some other stuff I was going to order from there. :)

Hi MK Scarlett

Are-you using the basic recipe?

How much strawberries, blueberries do you add?

Hi MK Scarlett

Yes, I use the basic recipe and I add around 250g (9.oz) of blueberries and 15cl (5 fl.oz.) of juice of blueberries (all organic). And when I use some strawberries, I add around 300g (11.oz) of them and also 15cl (5 fl.oz.) of juice of blueberries, for the color and to reinforce the taste.

Thank you for asking and I'm sorry for not having shared it in my previous post. :-[

I also did some with lemon: I take an entire organic lemon with zest and the flesh of the lemon, but without the white membrane between the two of them. My daughter and my husband told me they would prefer it with half of zest of lemon instead than everything to get a more softer taste. So I will try it for the next time.

For the cocoa one, I did not (on the last time) heat the cocoa as usual by using a pan and xylitol, but I let it at sun and put like that in the blender, so the result is while we have the cocoa taste, we also get some chocolate chip inside, which is always a like a "surprise"...
I also bought 24 jars for yoghurt-maker and I can distribute the different recipes of fat bomb in individual portions. :bacon:

I made the custard today and added chocolate. I really wasn't expecting much but it's fantastic! I never really liked chocolate that much as a kid (I'm convinced it was the sugar and other gunk that made me eat more than I should) and after eating a *gulp* mars bar in the early 2000s, I swore I wouldn't touch "chocolate" again. (it was obscenely sweet)

I'm tasting a bit now and it's literally choco-coffee, I'm not terribly enamoured with coffee either but this is really really good. I used the non-coconut milk recipe i.e. water and fat, but I still have some coconut oil left which I use sparingly, and again today. The chocolate came in discs (more like buttons) and I used just 4. I'm going to be using this for quite some time. :D

Experimenting with some lard that I have rendered and made a 'frappuccino' looking beverage this morning:

Cup of lard
3 egg yolks
2 cups of water
2 tsp xylitol
1 tsp cocoa powder
vanilla extract
cocoa extract

Whisk egg yolks in blender. Then pour in melted lard with egg yolks and blend. Finally add extracts, cocoa powder, xylitol and water and blend some more until you have a yummy beverage. Super quick if you are in a hurry and most importantly totally satiating.
