Migun, Far Infrared, and Negative Ion Therapy

Hi LadyRodgers

I got a promolife blanket over two years ago. I run it very hot, as I like to sweat. Besides wearing cotton jogging-type clothing, I also put a towel down for extra absorption. My housemate runs it lower, as they prefer the mitochondrial stimulation. It's been used twice and sometimes three times a week, and we've never had an issue with it.

Stranger, what did you end up doing?

Bought it from Get Fitt. I am not disappointed, actually the quality is really good, the sauna sessions are deeply relaxing & cleansing and the service is awesome.

I have had a FIR blanket from Promolife since late last summer. I am not using it as much as you right now, but for I while I was running it almost daily. I have had no problems of any kind with the product. I have used it at high settings and low settings, depending in part upon the room temperature and how I was feeling. Currently the weather is warmer and my body is responding better at lower temperatures, so that is how I have it set.

Far Infra Red Cocoon System - GetFitt

Maybe that is kind of known company to forum readers because it has even podcast with Laura about FIR subject at sott.net (Toxic World, Toxic Bodies).
Anyway I wanted to say good things about their product I have purchased - Cocoon System, and also about their service... maybe especially to highlight their service.
Cocoon is a heavy duty blanket! I am using it since end of March this year it is short time for wear and tear but it is just strong material used. I do not treat it too nicely (I try) and I am satisfied with what I got.

Service: I was taken care by Robin and Sammy. Robin had devoted a lot of time talking with me and listening to me. Helped me to establish good practices with using sauna. Warned me about overdosing of it.
Additional service - support by telephone or email - costed me 75 pounds but that was worth it and in a fact lasted much longer than said one month. I felt kindness and I liked it. That was she who called me first. That was also nice. She was looking for me.
That is their page: http://www.get-fitt.com/. I like it.

Re: FIR Sauna Burning Problem

Hello!
I am a fan of the portable infrared sauna, but I had a very scary experience on 9/19/11. While I was in my sauna, it caught fire (see photo of damage). _http://freepdfhosting.com/75c3d9c307.pdf. I hope I got the hyperlink to work. If not, please paste this into your browser: _http://freepdfhosting.com/75c3d9c307.pdf

Anyone out there had this happen?

How can I locate someone with info about what toxic chemicals could be formed and I took in as I put out the fire?

I have made several requests from the manufacturer here in the US, verseo.com to find out what it is made of, but have not gotten that info yet. I got the unit in 2005 and it had a one year warranty. Going into a top respiratory center here in Denver CO next week because the cough and tightness in chest is getting worse and not going away.

Thank you!

Re: FIR Sauna Burning Problem

Hi besocareful,

Welcome to our forum. :)

What a scary experience ! Hoping that someone would be able to help you.

In the meantime, we recommend all new members to post an introduction in the Newbies section telling us a bit about themselves, how they found the cass material, and how much of the work here they have read.

You can have a look through that board to see how others have done it.

what is the best place to buy a FIR Sauna ?

I want to buy a FIR Sauna for my mother , she is in constant pain wich makes her most of the time not able to sleep well too.
I'm pretty sure that her diet plays a big role in those pains. I've suggested to her that a change in her diet would probably benefit her greatly in this situation. I've given her material to study the diet subject, but she obviously doesn't want to make this step right now, so I won't intervene in her free will any longer.

A few months back she told me that she fed us when we were babys almost gluten and raffinated sugar free , for example with buckwheat and raw cane sugar. the reason for that was that her doctor at that time suggested this diet to her becouse my brother was and is very sensitive to that evil stuff. the doctor was a woman who was kind of homeopathic in her approach. she is no longer in service, what a loss in this system !
I think my family in general is pretty sensitive to those things.

my mother is trying many things to get rid of those pains. she consulted several doctors some of wich suggested that a operation, injections or drugs are the sulutions. she doesn't want to take drugs, wich is in my view a good decision.

I've told her that I can buy a FIR Sauna for her, and she would like to try it.

Re: what is the best place to buy a FIR Sauna ?

You may like to look at the following website:

_http://www.get-fitt.com/

Talk to them about what you want for your mother - what she is experiencing, they are extremely helpful, both pre-buying and whilst you start using the FIR sauna blanket - they offer a start-up consultancy service. Not sure if it's still applicable, if you mention that you are part of Laura's research group (he visited Laura to talk about the blankets a couple of years ago) you may get a discount on the full price.

This may help or not.

Don't know if they still do that discount either, but a year ago I mentioned that I heard the radio show on SOTT where Mark from get-fitt figured, and got 10% off. They are a bit more pricey than their counterpart no-name brands from the far east, but you get good quality and support.

Re: what is the best place to buy a FIR Sauna ?

Fwiw the price is about 576 Euros with discount and eventually plus shipping costs (about 40Euros), that's the offer I got two months back, but still too much for me, unfortunately.

When money is an issue, there is another seller in the netherlands (in German) _http://infrarooddeken.nl/de/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=54&Itemid=60&lang=de where a blanket is about 285 €. I may consider ordering one of theirs until I get some more information about the blankets.

Re: what is the best place to buy a FIR Sauna ?

Forgot something to add, it is also possible to do several payments over some months.

I've ordered a blanket for my Dad and one for myself from them, but haven't tested it yet. Their service was pretty good, I sent the payment via bank transfer and the blanket arrived only a few days later - it didn't even take a week.
