Obtaining some hard to get meds

I might be wrong but chances are the customs folk have put a flag in place -so anything you get that needs to go through customs will be checked.
I was thinking the same thing, actually. But they don't touch parcels from Iherb, strangely enough, but that's probably because Iherb cooperates with the authorities? For a while I couldn't buy melatonin for instance, as this was prohibited at the time if I recall it correctly.
what reasons did they give for confiscatiing them ? and maybe ask them what criteria would enable you to obtain them so that they wont be confiscated in future ? In view of your health challenges .
Because they were meds and there are no criteria at all, they just say: you are not allowed to import medications. End of story. And meds are outrageously expensive in the Netherlands IMO. I paid between 35 and 40 euros for 20 grammes of corticosteroid cream.

Hey everyone, I'm about to place an order to stock up on medication for the upcoming fun and games (aka SHTF) and I was wondering if I could get some feedback on my list from anyone who has some idea? Do you think the below meds will be a good choice? Some are used for similar things and I wonder if I could skip some? Or should anything be added that I didn't think of?
  • Ivermectin (obviously ;-))
  • Fluconazole
  • Clotrimazole
  • Amoxicilin
  • Metronidazole
  • Ketoprofen (the only painkiller that actually works on me)
  • Naproxen (more for its anti-inflamatory properties, it does nothing for my quite extreme period pain, or any other type of pain)
I would also like to get the following:
  • Clobetasol propionate (MAD expensive at 790 for 250g, but it's an active ingredient in a super effective cream for skin issues called Dermovate)
  • Neomycin sulphate (also found in Dermovate)
  • Nystatin
I already have a stash of doxycyline and penicillin at home.

My aim is to a wide enough range of meds to cover mine and my family and friends' back when meds become hard to get. My focus is mostly antibiotics, antivirals, and antifungals. I would like to get some steroid meds too in case things get bad, but the only one my family seem to have needed is Dermovate. Is there a steroid that's commonly used for inflammation that would be useful to have?

Any feedback would be really helpful as this is going to be an expensive order and I would like to optimise the list as much as possible. But given that I have no medical or pharmaceutical training I just put together the list of the most common meds we use. A big thank you in advance :flowers:

Co-Trimoxazole. (Septrin, Barctim, Purbac). Contains sulfamethoxazole and trimethoprim.
"... is used to treat infections including urinary tract infections, middle ear infections (otitis media), bronchitis, traveler's diarrhea, and shigellosis (bacillary dysentery). This medicine is also used to prevent or treat Pneumocystis jiroveci pneumonia or Pneumocystis carinii pneumonia (PCP), a very serious kind of pneumonia. This type of pneumonia occurs more commonly in patients whose immune systems are not working normally, including cancer patients, transplant patients, and patients with acquired immune deficiency syndrome AIDS."

I noticed that many of you have ordered meds from Serena, whom I also purchase from. I'd like to share a personal story about how well the meds she supplies work.

Back in October/November 2020 my entire family had a pretty nasty case of covid and it was a very close call for grandparents. My grandma was taken to hospital for three weeks, and when I returned home to help around the house while everyone was ill, I found my grandpa in a really terrible state. He was quite a big guy all his life, and he had lost a lot of weight. He was struggling to breathe and he could hardly lift his arm when I walked in. I have never seen anyone on their death bed, but my grandpa looked like it was the end for him. They both somehow managed to pull through but it took a very long while to even start walking again, and they never really regained their strength fully.

When the flu season of 2021 came, I already had a stash of ivermectin, hydroxychloroquine, and doxycyline I had purchased from Serena that summer. I arrived home for Christmas, and a day after my arrival I developed mild covid/fu symptoms. I tried to avoid common areas in the house, but on the morning of Christmas Eve I was woken up by my mom, asking me to give my grandpa the meds I had bought as during the night he became very ill with exactly the same symptoms he had the year before. His temperature was already well over 38C, pushing 39C. He was also very weak and struggling to breathe. At that point I had never used the meds and I was terrified to feed him something I effectively bought from a completely random person in China. But he was deteriorating so rapidly that it just didn't feel like we had much choice. Being taken to hospital was a death sentence given how covid patients were treated back then, and we feared he was going to be put on a ventilator.

He took the first dose of 30mg of IV, 100mg of HCQ and 100mg of Doxy on the morning of 24 December, and by that evening his temperature had dropped to 37C, never to climb back again. He chose to join us for Christmas Eve dinner and the first thing he said was that he was hungry :-)

By the next morning his temperature was gone and his other symptoms were clearing. My entire family were given a course of the same meds as a preventative measure and no one else caught it.

There were two more instances when I arrived at my family's place in Poland and developed covid/flu symptoms shortly after (probably thanks to the joys of recycled air on planes) and my family were given a preventative course of the above mentioned combo of meds both times. They never caught whatever I had. I have suggested to my mom and her husband not to avoid catching the bug and to strengthen their immune system by allowing the body to fight off the illness, but in the two instances I mentioned they opted for the meds. Which has allowed me to test how well they work for prevention. The answer is 'like a charm' :wizard:

So if you're wondering how solid a supplier Serena is, she definitely supplies stuff that works. At some point I also ordered penicillin form her, and that substance has a very distinctive smell and taste. What arrived definitely smelled and tasted like penicillin

Bactrim. Sorry for the dyslexia moment. One more thing a full treatment of 2x/day for 15 days goes to 30 tablets. So one pack is theoretically for one treatment.

I received my package of Ivermectin and doxy from Molecule Impex this morning.
I'm ready to place an order for ivermectin. Is there a particular way to approach them regarding these kinds of orders?
I've re-read almost the whole thread to find this info, but there was nothing explicit, nor any links for Molecul Impex. I had created a Word Document but forgot to note this info.

is this the right link? www . indiamart . com/molecule-impex

This is what I got when I Googled them.

I ordered from Safe Impex (Rx Impex) via India Mart. I asked them to only use the name Safe Impex on the return label, as best to avoid anything to indicate prescription meds.

They are reasonably priced and provide tracking. I paid via PayPal and package arrived in 10 days.

You can contact Sahil via WhatsApp if you’d like to receive a quote. 91 95275 32631

This is what Molecule Impex answered me:

You have a new message from Mandar Abhyankar, Molecule Impex Trading Company
We are not able to deliver in Canada as the customs is sending back the parcels again to India

Grrrr.... 😖So it seems I'll have to endure apple flavored horse paste.

Hi @Ant22, saw that naproxen is also on your list. FWIW, here in Portugal, and also in Holland, naproxen is otc. I got a packet under the name of Momendol.

Thank you Laurs :flowers: It’s OTC both in Poland and the UK too. I’m actually going to buy a slightly larger quantity in powder form as it’s going to work out cheaper and I’ll be able to avoid consuming all those fillers they put in pills.
