Putin Recognizes Donbass Republics, Sends Russian Military to 'Denazify' Ukraine

Kremlin accuses Zelensky of trying to start a world war

"Putin's spokesman issues warning to the US and UK over the Ukrainian leader's nuclear demands"

"Russia’s Foreign Ministry has also accused Zelensky of trying to provoke a nuclear war, with spokeswoman Maria Zakharova stating that “every person on the planet” should recognize that the “unbalanced” puppet leader of Ukraine, who has been pumped full of weapons, has turned into “a monster, whose hands can destroy the planet.”

"The Kremlin has called on the international community to pay special attention to Zelensky’s statements, especially the US and the UK, who Peskov says are “de facto in control of Kiev’s actions” and therefore bear responsibility for the Ukrainian president’s words."

Article below:

I particularly liked this statement at the end of the article:

Meanwhile, both Washington and London have also admitted that it is unlikely that Moscow will deploy tactical nukes in the Ukraine conflict and have seen no indications of Moscow preparing such an attack.

I guess somebody in Washington and London has a couple of firing neurons.
Must have really hurt to admit that, particularly as it is in opposition to the mantra in the MSM. :lol2:

Which wouldn't be surprising at all... if it wasn't for the fact that the EU refused to recognize their independence referendums 🤔 So, according to Western logic, the EU is sanctioning Ukraine?
No, this is their twisted way of recognizing these regions and their residents as Russian forever. They know that this is a done deal and all they can do now is to throw their very effective sanctions at them.

Just reported via Battlefield Insights:

Russian “Sladkov” TG channel, known to have links to the Russian military is reporting that the General of the Russian Aerospace Forces, Sergey Surovikin, will be put in charge of Russia’s “Special Military Operation” in Ukraine

Sladkov’s nickname within the Russian Armed Forces is Cannibal. He’s known as a tough MF@R, a hardliner

He’s currently in charge of southern group of the Russian Army & led several offensives which saw Ukrainian troops encircled and destroyed in LPR

He’s also largely accredited as the sole reason why the Syrian government was able to regain its territory from ISIS

He does not believe in retreats & does not favour surgical approach to strikes. In Syria, we noticed that his approach was rather “go big or go home” — huge aerial bombardments were his thing

He’s also rumoured to be next in-line to eventually retire Gerasinov as the Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces

There are no official Russian media sources confirming this information

I can’t find any other official sources on this either, but from what I’ve gathered if this is true it looks like we’re looking at the next phase of force generation in the SMO.

Looking at his Wikipedia page, it looks like this guy is really about it.

Navigable arches were not damaged

SIMFEROPOL, October 8. /TASS/. An object believed to be a fuel storage tank has caught fire on the Crimean Bridge, but the viaduct’s navigable arches sustained no damage, an aide to the head of Crimea, Oleg Kryuchkov, said on Saturday.

"According to preliminary information, a fuel storage tank is on fire <…>. Navigable arches were not damaged. It is too early to speak about causes and consequences. Work to extinguish the blaze is under way," Kryuchkov wrote in his Telegram channel.
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for the Taman management of federal highways of Russia’s Federal Road Agecy (Avtodor) told TASS the movement of vehicles across the Crimean Bridge has been suspended due to the incident.

"Traffic <…> has been temporarily suspended, personnel of the Russian emergencies ministry and the road service are working on the site to contain the blaze," she said.

Some speculation from Battlefield Insights:

In our opinion — This is a clear attack on the Crimean bridge. The section underneath could not have collapsed as a result of the explosion. It is nearly impossible from a physics perspective for the railway to be fine and for the road right underneath to be demolished. The initial explosion must have occurred below, setting off secondary explosions of the fuel tankers.

This could easily be done by throwing a remote-detonated bomb out of a car passing by.
That’s just our assumption. There’s no official information confirming our assumptions

While rarely a sure thing as to whom, but anyone else just tired of potential Secret Team shenanigans?

Seems the merry go around is just starting to pick up - this thing ever slow down? 🤡🌏

So hard to tell what’s really going on but this may be a fake:

The footage is a fake

South Front now also reporting, although clearly the date is wrong (says 9/8/22):

On September 8, a large explosion hit Crimean Bridge that links the Republic of Crimea with mainland Russia. Local authorities reported that the movement of cars and trains on the Crimean bridge was suspended because of a fire on fuel tank (photos show fire on the railway part of the bridge and a freight train with fuel tanks there).

An adviser to the governor of Crimea, Oleg Kruchkov, wrote in Telegram that navigable arches of the bridge were not damaged.

According to the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Crimean Railway”, the freight train, in which the tank caught fire, was withdrawn from the Crimean bridge to Kerch city.

“Emergency work is underway. The causes of the incident are being established,” the company’s press service added.
It is highly likely that the incident on the bridge was a result of the attack by the Kiev regime or NATO forces (in fact, this means the same if one takes into account that NATO directly manages military actions of Kiev forces). This unprecedented attack would mark the new level of escalation, which confirms readiness of NATO and its puppet Kiev regime to attack vital civilian infrastructure objects deep inside Russian territory.

Such an attack requires a decisive and rapid answer from Russia. If this does not happen, it is likely that frequet attacks on vital infrastructure objects in Russia will become an everyday reailty in the nearest future.

The situation is developing.
🤔

RT made mentioned of what appeared to me too after viewing the film, was that of transport truck exploding (could have been something incoming too):

The bridge that connects the Crimean Peninsula with mainland Russia has been damaged by a truck bombing, the National Anti-Terrorism Committee said on Saturday.
