A shooting outside the US National Security Agency headquarters in Fort Meade, Maryland wounded three people. The shooting reportedly took place after a car rammed a barrier around NSA building.

According to ABC News,
at least three people were shot and wounded, and one person is now in custody. The investigation into the attack is currently underway.
Responding to the attack, the FBI Baltimore office stated that FBI was sending personnel to respond the shooting incident.
The local Anne Arundel County police forces shared an information about
a possible shooting around 7:30 a.m local time. An NSA spokesman, as quoted by NBC TV, the incident is under control.
The White House reacted to the attack, saying that US President Donald Trump was briefed on the incident.

Photos emerged on social media appearing to show a black van at the building’s entrance and a handcuffed man, possibly an attacker, sitting on the ground. Bullet holes are seen in the windshield of the van, which seems to have crashed into a barrier.
The FBI has sent personnel to respond to the incident, FBI Baltimore said on Twitter. The NSA says the incident is under control, according to local media citing the agency’s spokesman.
Highway MD 32 is closed in both directions, local authorities said on Twitter. Drivers have been advised to take alternate routes and “expect long delays.”
US President Donald Trump has been “briefed on the shooting,” AP reports, citing White House spokeswoman Lindsay Walters.
It is not the first attack on the NSA headquarters in Fort Meade, Maryland. In 2015, one person was killed and two were injured after two men disguised as women rammed a stolen van into the gates of the agency.

A shooting took place early Wednesday morning near the headquarters of the National Security Agency, one of the nation's primary intelligence agencies, on the Army's Fort Meade campus.
A black SUV was stopped at the barriers in front of the NSA facility in Maryland, and one suspect is being held, and AP reported.
Many reports suggest that that person injured was a law enforcement officer, though details about the extent of the wounds were not disclosed.
"This morning shortly after 7:00 AM a vehicle attempted to enter NSA's secure campus in Ft. Meade, Maryland without authorization. The situation is under control, and there is no ongoing security or safety threat," the NSA said in a statement to BuzzFeed News.
"Weapons were discharged in the course of the incident, which remains under investigation at this time. Several individuals were transported to area hospitals; however, preliminary reports do not presently indicate that there are injuries attributable to gunfire. The FBI is presently leading the investigation," the statement said.
Local police and rescue authorities are referring questions to the NSA and Fort Meade.
White House deputy press secretary Lindsay Walters said in a statement that the president "has been briefed on the shooting" and offered "thoughts and prayers to everyone that has been affected."
"We will continue to provide updates as they become available," Walters concluded.
