Exactly. Hope you will fix it very soon! One day without SOTT is a very hard thing to live. :)
 
Hi,

I cleared my browser data yesterday, and today I noticed that when I go to sott.net, it redirects me to an Asus login page - http://www.sott.net/page/login.html

And when I click on a direct link to a sott article, I get a text on my browser saying:
Access Error: Access Denied

You have not logged in and therefore cannto access this page. This problem could occur if you have logged in but have disabled cookies in your browser. You need to enable atleast per session cookies in your browser. This product does nto collect any personal information and per session cookies are used only to track you sessions

Is the site down for maintenance, or have I been banned in some way? I have never had to log-in before. I don't even have a sott account. My cookie settings are also fine. Any help would be appreciated.

It's possible that the hosts have a DNS server issue. I've seen this before in my line of work.

If you guys know the actual IP address of the site, can you access it by IP address only rather than domain name? This would assist in determining whether its the DNS or something else.

The ASUS login looks like the DNS is pointing to a server's remote management screen (which will be a different IP).

So, I don't think it would be as simple as a DNS error. Maybe? But not likely. Maybe some "hyperdimensional hacking" that compromised the physical hardware irreparably? :P

I've been getting the ASUS login page all morning.

when searching for a mirror site i was directed to a cloud stored cashed page from yesterday, but can't even get that one now.

I hope you manage to get it fixed soon, good luck and all the best.

So, the latest news is the RAM is not bad, so that's not it.

Hosting company claims to have removed the KVM add-in board, but they refuse to actually go to http://www.sott.net to see that no, in fact it is still there!

I can't seem to get a straight answer from them as to why this screen is there, if they changed the network/server in some way (they did, on August 12th, when they upgraded their datacenter), and so on...

In short, I think they changed something and broke it, but they won't even acknowledge that all of us are seeing the Asus iKVM login screen.

It's a bit like pulling teeth at this point...
