Here in Paris, we're one month from Winter, and it's been snowing big snowflakes non-stop since 10am this morning, and the forecasts predict that it'll last for at least several more hours!
So much for the false prophets who predicted that snow would be gone by 2020!

So much for the false prophets who predicted that snow would be gone by 2020!

I remember that they said in 2000 that there would be warmer winters without snow from 2010 due to climate change. Here we had snow each winter - sometimes more sometimes less. It seems that "climate change" is not following their predictions.
About this time last year we had a snow chaos with 50cm snow over night, which caused public traffic chaos for a week and more. Root cause for the traffic chaos was insufficient preparation of the public transport companies for cases like this and also their bad decisions:
- to stop driving tramways and trains during night instead of increasing them and
- to scrap the suitable vehicles that could handle this weather better and
- also to scrap the vehicles, which used to take care of this kind of situations.
