Here in Paris, we're one month from Winter, and it's been snowing big snowflakes non-stop since 10am this morning, and the forecasts predict that it'll last for at least several more hours!

About this time last year we had a snow chaos with 50cm snow over night, which caused public traffic chaos for a week and more. Root cause for the traffic chaos was insufficient preparation of the public transport companies for cases like this and also their bad decisions:
- to stop driving tramways and trains during night instead of increasing them and
- to scrap the suitable vehicles that could handle this weather better and
- also to scrap the vehicles, which used to take care of this kind of situations.
