Since everybody is so on about the karaoke, I guess we'll just have to make a few little video clips...

Request: please someone sing Voyage Voyage by Desireless :)
Gotta love those french lyrics.

That'd be great. Then I can compare, with the real thing, what I've often visualized. :)

It would be great if there was a way we could remotely participate in the karaoke. I'll probably be busy but I can at least carry a tune...but, if you think karaoke is embarrassing in a room full of other people doing it, just imagine doing it by yourself in front of a computer and other people around you watching

 That would be fun. Skype Karaoke.

A few fairly obvious ones in case they aren't already on the list:

R.E.M. - It's The End of The World as We Know It
Europe - The Final Countdown
Barry McGuire - Eve of Destruction
Talking Heads - Life During Wartime

Anyone got any more?

Neil Diamond's Sweet Caroline - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLPiYZrwAzU - it's a fun karaoke song.

For whatever reason the song 'Turn Turn Turn' as done by The Byrds came to mind as a good song for the occasion. Turning of an age idea and all that probably. Maybe I'll get out on the 22nd and do some karaoke of my own. :cool2:

Good gracious! She's already agreed to give up some privacy by providing video clips. Now she has to give up choices for the music? I wouldn't be surprised if Laura goes: dang, "I Give You An Inch (And You Take A Mile)", by The Mods (originally dubbed "Terry and the Blasters").

Ummm... making all these karaoke song suggestions prompts me to ask: how many of you have ever done karaoke?

I'm sure the crew will mention those little kids from Sandy Hook. Can we ask if they have been able to move to 5D. I hope they are not stuck or too traumatised to move on.

Or any other child, massacred the last gazillion years.

Laura is a fan of Johnny Cash, The Wanderer ought to be on the list!

Of course, you are right. But the rather harsh tone isn't really necessary, is it?
