This is definitely a video to be translated and maybe even put on DVD for sale.

I agree. Might there be any options for this in the future? I would love to get this on DVD to show to some friends in a group setting...

Yeah, this would be a great option. Pssst! Red Pill Press, *hint, hint* ;D

We'll post the transcript soon for anyone who wants to do translations. The subtitles in English will also be done soon. However, the video can't be sold because there is tons of copyrighted material from film studios, TV shows, artists and musicians, hence the disclaimer at the end of the video. I'm not familiar with copyright laws (any lawyers here who can give more insight?), but me thinks that this is a big legal issue and we certainly don't like to get sued and I suppose neither does Red Pill Press. However, it's available for download. ;)

A lot of people could sue you big time for this if it became popular enough, which is what it definitely has the potential to do. It wouldn't matter if you even made a penny off of it or not. It was smart to leave your names out.

"Fair use, a limitation and exception to the exclusive right granted by copyright law to the author of a creative work, is a doctrine in United States copyright law that allows limited use of copyrighted material without acquiring permission from the rights holders. Examples of fair use include commentary, criticism, news reporting, research, teaching, library archiving and scholarship."

The Fair Use Notice is posted all over the video details, and at the end of the video itself. This seems to work for other videos which have gotten far more attention and commercialization online. It seems unlikely that it would be an issue.

FAIR USE NOTICE
This video may contain copyrighted material the use of which has not always been specifically authorized by the copyright owner. We are making such material available in our efforts to advance understanding of environmental, political, human rights, economic, democracy, scientific, and social justice issues, etc. We believe this constitutes a 'fair use' of any such copyrighted material as provided for in section 107 of the US Copyright Law. Congratulations Spiral Out and de-tached, this work is absolutely great, you deserve all the good comments.   Thanks for make it downloadable.

If I understand it right Fair Use wouldn't fully apply if you are selling the video as opposed to distributing it for free. I think there is some time limit for clips, too, under which you may be OK. But it may be possible to request permission from some of the tv shows provided attribution is given.

I'm just speculating, though, it might be worth consulting a copyright lawyer in the US.

(edited typo and for clarity)

Thanks for the suggestions.

As I mentioned before, we aren't trying to profit from this video.
It was made free for anybody to download and stream for the purpose of spreading knowledge and promoting awareness of this topic and the researchers thereof. :)
If people want to distribute DVDs independently among their friends and family, that's their choice.

As a teacher in the California, I know all about the Fair Use law and I also know about copyright law, because of something I had to deal with in the recent past. Regardless of the Fair Use law, you could still get sued (as anyone can for any reason, really) from someone who claims that your video somehow prevented them from profiting off of their own sales of their material.

However, I don't think you have anything to worry about, because you are not making monetary profits. There wouldn't be enough money worth suing you for unless you began mass production and sales of the movie. If you have any questions regarding this, an attorney named Melissa K Dagodag located in Los Angeles would be able to answer them for you. She looked at my Myspace page with me and said to take down ALL of the images that I hadn't photographed myself. I used to have up images of bands I liked, etc. She said the internet made it so that a lot of people are breaking the law, because so many people post images that they did not create or get approval from the creator(s) to post. Here is her website _http://www.melissakdagodag.com/index.html

This also makes me wonder if it might be a good idea to educate yourselves on these laws so that you could maybe work with the Red Pill Press in the future. I really liked RyanX's suggestion and I would buy your movie on DVD! :D

This is NOT a video that can be sold - at least not as it exists right now. There's way too much copyrighted material included and anybody who tried to sell it might find themselves in court for a very long time.

Wow!!! Thank You both, Spiral Out and de-tached!!!   This is an absolutely amazing presentation, a totally comprehensive overview of the entire phenomenon, with tremendous quotations citing impeccable sources.

I am absolutely inspired. So many brilliant quotes that I only semi-remembered from previous readings, they are all coming flooding back into my awareness, I would hope.

Terrific art direction also, it really was visually superb, and excellent too with the editing! Subtle music too, always good in a content-rich vid. Good clear narration, top drawer all round.

Honestly guys, quite probably the best video I have ever seen. Uniformly excellent! Well done!

You Guys have really got your mojos working and your chakras together. I consider it a privelage and a gift to have been able to see it.. :cool2:

Now I have to get up off of my proverbial and get back up to par with my reading! :-[

Very much agreed, bravo guys, this is exactly the kind of stuff that is accessible to the every day person nowadays. It really does grab your attention and keep it all the way through the video, and it is very informative, well presented, with great visuals and voice over. In other words, just what the doctor ordered! I can't wait to see what else you guys have in store, and I'll do my best to spread this one far and wide :)

I'm going over the transcript to sync it up with the video for captions later on. Some of you mentioned that there are spelling errors in the quotes. Do you mind pointing them out so I can correct them in case I don't catch them myself?

I also need to transcribe the interview/lecture parts with Richard Dolan, Karla Turner, Laura and the TV segment of the abducted family. If any of you could help with that it would be great. Is there maybe already a transcript from Laura's Project Camelot interview where I can just copy the parts that we used in the video? Any help is appreciated. Thank you!

The odd thing to me was that the video seemed separate from the network here, while still using it's concepts. It's the whole picture I guess. One of Laura's abilities has been in sorting through the mess to find and connect valuable information. While High Strangeness was mentioned several times, the video itself, from what I saw, seems about all the concepts Laura has tied together. I didn't think that was conveyed.

I agree with this also. Even though you have credits for sources, you come off as the compiling researcher and not this network.

I didn't see any problem with that, on the contrary. Laura is given her due credit and they come across as having checked several sources pointing in the same direction. That makes a stronger case than stating it's all Laura's ideas. I think it's presented in a very smart way; the script is very well done and the points very well explained and illustrated.

Excellent job Spiral Out and de-tached!!

Thanks for the perspective Windmill Knight.

Spiral Out and De-tached, I apologize. You guys really did do a fantastic job.

I just had a chance to finish this, and it's really amazing you guys. Whether it can be eventually shared in another venue or not, it's great to have it up and available on the internet. Thanks for your hard work on this :)
