What's for Dinner?

I'm now on a gluten, dairy, raffinated sugar free diet for several weeks. I eat a lot of saturated fats.
for the claim that a gluten free diet causes one to gain weight...
my expierense so far is that I didn't gain weight rather the different is the case I lost some ponds.

Same here. I'm not even making an effort to lose weight and often indulge on dark chocolate (my main weakness!). I used to diet a lot in the past to lose weight without any result other than feeling weak and cranky, so I'm starting to really see how harmful gluten and dairy really are. Not to mention I'm feeling a lot better than a few years ago.

So, today we had lentils and grass fed meat stew, really simple and delicious.

Funny, when it comes to eating I always felt so out of place because I just wanted to eat meat. I was perfectly happy with eating only meat at dinner but, as the saying goes, you gotta eat your veggies!! Kinda makes you think now. Anyway, I've been mainly eating meat lately, with maybe maybe some cooked onions, eggs, sweet potatoes, or blinis/muffins thrown in there. I too notice that if I eat meats cooked in fats as my first meal, it holds me over for quite a long time and my second meal isn't needed until later than usual and it's usually smaller than the first one since I fill up quicker. And it's nice to have one less meal to worry about during the day.

Tonight it was round roast topped with bacon, and a half cup of plain rice. Dessert was a banana. *knocking on wood hoping my joints improve soon.* (I'll phase out the rice slowly.)

Pork shoulder roast, roasted potatoes for some, and salad with olive oil and lemon for dressing. Yum!

Shredded zucchini with green onion, fresh chives and baby carrots, sauteed in butter :) ... was my twice a week veggie....

I've been switched to the almost all meat and egg diet (with fresh herbs), since Feb. and I find that I only eat twice a day but not quite 14x a week, as some meals are quite far apart... The other thing I've noticed is that when I eat organic/free range meat, I eat smaller portions or less often, on average. So although meat costs more than junk food and organic costs more than factory meat, it seems to balance out if not cheaper in the big picture.

A couple of days ago we had some meatballs and tomato sauce on bolied quinoa. Never been a pasta fan, but I miss it sometimes. The quinoa + sauce thing is very very tasty.

Cooked organic fresh green pees and young wild artichoke with spring onion, olive oil, touch of parsley and sea salt. Grilled organic chicken breast and self produced green salad with olive oil and lemon juice.

Tonight, home made organic beef hamburgers with fresh herbs from the garden on a bed of lettuce and a side of sweet potato mash and some frozen berries in coconut cream for a treat.
