The orbit didn't seem to have changed so nothing of that sort happened imho. Disturbances could be expected to be electrical and chemical though as explained by Approaching Infinity.

As mentioned in Laura's updates about comet Elenin, there will be a Sun-new Moon-Earth-Elenin alignment on September 27. When the moon is new, it blocks the electron stream hitting the earth from the Sun, and when it moves out of the way, the earth receives a blast of solar energy, compressing the ionosphere and producing storms. As this will be hurricane season, it could produce some storm activity, as happened in 1999 with the Sun-Venus-Earth-Lee alignment which produced Hurricane Floyd (and which McCanney predicted). The alignment occurred on September 6, Floyd formed on the 8th and the new moon was the 9th. The inclusion of Venus most likely increased the energy hitting earth, so, barring any unseen factors, hopefully things aren't as bad this time around.

This colossal storm, which exhibited cyclone like qualities, was the equivalent of a category 3 hurricane, and covered millions of square kilometers

According to Dr. Jeff Masters of Weather Underground, “The mega-storm reached peak intensity late yesterday afternoon over Minnesota, resulting in the lowest barometric pressure readings ever recorded in the continental United States, except for from hurricanes and nor’easters affecting the Atlantic seaboard”

This was an all time biggie, but to imagine what could become from this activity, will no doubt be off the charts.

'Tis better to be aware of potential events and prepared for the "bad", than blindsided by the unexpected and unprepared. We will "see" what happens though, yes?

The above link is to an article I found today that tells there was a significant comet-Comet Tecumseh-that preceded the New Madrid quakes in 1811-12. I found that to be quite a coincidence given them current situation with comets coming.

Jim Mccanney talked about comet Elenin in his latest two radio shows,
and it seems that now he questions the comet's existence.

Basically he suggests that comet Elenin might be a part of the NASA disinfo campaign, specifically
orchestrated to discredit him.
He says that no data on that comet exists, except from the orbits which were published by NASA.

im listening to his april 28th show, and he is basically saying there is nothing to comet elenin, that alot of effort has gone into misinformation about this comet, its not planet x , ie reference to youtube videos, that have been posted with incorrect information with his name attached.

he says, that distorted information, is a prominent find on the internet about this comet.

but i cant really find any thing that he says to say , yes comet elenin exits, etc,.

seems to be saying, that there is a setup with this whole comet, halebopp suicides, and various other crazy acts associated with to this comet.

at 6mins into his show, he says you will see you tube videos, with weird music, saying that his name and his science is being used in accurately,

he also goes onto say that there is really no hard evidence of who discovered this comet. so he says there is nothing to this comet elenin.

Especially since all the stuff that is happening on the planet right now could very well be evidence of his ideas about comets and how they affect Earth.

Yup. Here's his latest update:

April 29, 2011 posting ... i am finally posting a notice on the storms in the southland including alabama ... i just talked with a listener who lived through the tornados in alabama and reported that he had never seen anything like this nor had anyone else including the old people ... he said there were dead people all over the place ... lots of injured ... i am trying to sort out if this is natural or man made ... this year already has been far worse than many of the other worst years combined ... i am also looking at the fake NASA sponsored youtube and web sites trying to suggest that me and my work would suggest that comet elenin (alleged comet elenin) would be the cause of earth tilting (falsely reported) and earth quakes in japan and now this weather in the southern USA ... let me make this very clear ... i am making no such claims and any sites that are trying to associate me or my work with any such statements are patently false misrepresentations of me and my work ... which brings another point that is one more indicator that these storms are man made (or assisted) and the people in the gov know that people would look me and my web site for explanations ... with the disinfo crew hoping i would bite the bate and somehow attribute what is going on to what still is an unverified comet (only NASA has reported this comet and other unknown reporting) ... so NO i have not said and am not now saying that an any alleged or otherwise comets are causing the weather we are seeing in the southern USA ... i am leaning towards the man made aspect of this as we seem to be heading into world wide collapse of life as you know it ... jim mccanney

So he's basically (in this case, at least) throwing out his own work, which seems to apply, in favor of the man-made weather loonies!
