Comets and The Horns of Moses, Special Edition

This is the Special Edition of Comets and the Horns of Moses, with color images and also signed by Laura.

Limited availability, so grab 'em while they're hot!
Anyway I'm happy to have it in print form. :D

I guess it depends on where it is going to... coming from France. It will be interesting to know how long it takes. So if people will note the postmark and let us know how many days it takes to various places, that would be good.

My cat keeps trying to eat this book! Its like catnip...I've been forced to keep it on a high shelf and she still tries to get at it.

Hubby thinks she may be smelling the shelties on the paper? I'm thinking of putting a cover on it to see if that throws her off the scent. This isn't the first book she's tried to eat, but it is one I'd rather keep intact.

Probably the bacon and sausages. I sign them at the kitchen table usually right after breakfast.

That's certainly an added feature that can't be delivered through a digital version of the book.

Finished reading Comets and Horns of Moses, so excellent! I kept going back to what the philosophers and stoics knew. It's a great history lesson. I really look forward to the next volume.

Got mine recently and currently reading through it. A spelling error on page 85, third paragraph from the bottom,

Climbing high above the atmosphere, some of the rising debirs excaped Earth's gravity to shoot far out into space...

I've finished reading Comets and the Horns of Moses, I made the right decision to purchase the Special Edition even though I already had a copy of the regular edition.

Thank you Laura for the words of encouragement in the inscription - it means a lot.

Wow, The Sausage and Bacon Special Breakfast Edition of HOM.
It's gonna be a looong time before any author or publisher, ANYWHERE, beats that.
Now that's what I call the personal touch!

Seriously though, hopefully mine gets here tomorrow. The small city I live in has been snowed in in all directions for the last five days. But they finally got the Trans Canada cleared yesterday.
So here's hoping.

My copy arrived in New Zealand safely about 10 days ago, thank you.

On a related note, I found this newspaper clipping dated March 1997 in my copy of Clube and Napier's The Cosmic Serpent:

Interesting link that contains a transcript of the article you found:

Ordered a copy for my e-reader a week ago, great book as always, Laura does impressive research and gets my mind working!

Mine took about 10 or 12 days to arrive in Georgia, U.S. It was opened but the book was still wrapped and in perfect condition.

Just a suggestion that you remove the second link "Comets and the Horns of Moses" which takes you to Amazon, since this thread is about the special edition. Didn't realize the special edition was being offered through QFG publishing only... ordered one for myself and one for friend... they arrived this morning. Yay!!!
Great that it's here, but bummed we didn't get SE with signature.

My bad for not reading all the way through the thread and clicking the second link in my excitement.

Oh bum, I think that I've done the same thing - haven't received it yet, but have a horrible feeling .....

Just finished vol 2. Very, very interesting subjects
regarding History! Can't wait for the next volumes!
