Yes, look at anything, but the Jab. These are probably the same people who say that the 40% increase all cause mortality is just "undercounting" of.... wait for it.... Covid.
I felt the same way, but they did underline that most of the cases under review were before the vaccine was made available:
Study deals with the first corona wave
For the study, published in Nature Medicine, the scientists analyzed anonymized medical records in a database maintained by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. The researchers created a data-set containing health information from 153,760 people who had tested positive for corona between March 1, 2020, and January 15, 2021, and who had survived the first 30 days of the disease. Very few of the people in the study had been vaccinated before developing corona because vaccines were not widely available at the time of enrollment.
IIRC, the vaccine started limited deployment around late December 2020, is that correct? I wanted to press F to doubt, too, but considering the spike is the weapon and the virus is a somewhat milder form of it (it can't slip so easily into the nucleus as free spikes, etc) that was still characterized by endotheliopathy/coagulopathy, it's not that surprising that it would cause damage on the same spectrum.
I'd be looking forward to the same study from omicron cases, with a distinction between vaxxed and unvaxxed. Not that I expect clean data anywhere anymore, though.
Edit: now that I think about it, the selection criteria was for a positive covid test in 2020, but the duration of the dataset is not specified. After the sample group was selected, how much longer did the study observe them for? That is not specified, so it is possible someone would have gotten the vaccine in early 2021 and then a later diagnosis correlated to the 2020 positive covid test rather than to the 2021 jab.
It reeks of poor data analysis, but more than that, it seems like they're establishing a statistical baseline that could be applied to bias further data analysis - say an excess of heart attacks was found among the jabbed later, part of it could be swept under the rug, 'oh, this increase is expected, they tested positive for covid at some point, the data needs normalized', etc. Even say, if that positive covid test only came out after/as a result of getting jabbed...
